How about a prone position for the infantry?
Not like it hasn't been used by armies all over the world
for many years.
I have yet to meet anyone who has been through any services combat
training course who fires freehand or crouched when going prone can be
done safely and effectively.
Time to make PS2 NOT look like the MW BS
line.

Neat idea, although some guns wouldn't work, notably the hip-fire only guns, unless they changed something.
Probably have to add new gun animations as well.
Only drawback is the glut of campers that would probably crawl out of the woodwork, and take full advantage of the new position, wreaking havoc on anyone not constantly under cover. Not that it's necessarily bad, but eh, I'm sure tons of people will start to whine over getting zapped by fifty prone hidden snipers leaving the spawn room, lol.
Biological vehicle spam.

Not going to happen. Prone was discussed very early on and the maps have been designed without prone in mind. It would also require an immense amount of resources to make all the animations.

personally I hate prone in games, especially if with the distances in this game. Could you imaging the pixel sniping?!

Unless Sony had a prone-believing sugar daddy that wanted to put up the $2M (though I suspect it would cost more) in financing to go into the back-end of Forgelight, hire designers to create the animations, and hire extra world designers to change the maps...

If you had typed the word "prone" into the subject line before you posted this, the automatic search would have pulled up probably a dozen threads on the topic.
It's been talked about to death, and the general consensus has been that it doesn't belong in PS2.

no thanks I'll continue to enjoy the game far more without prone
