They nerfed AA pretty hard this patch compared to yesterday and for whatever nerf they applied to the rockets, it's negligible, it's nothing.

Standard AA turrets like what the Prowler has are still shit.
Flak is a lot better as it seems like the ESFs have less health, I dunno but they're dying faster to Flak.
Lock ons are the same, flare and get away.

flak small arms and the baskalisk certainly do more dmg now, rocket pods? maybe slightly less effective? i dunno i think if it wasn't in the patch notes i wouldn't have noticed.

The pod nerf was that it's splash damage is less, and it does less damage to Sunderers, and Turrets. I agree with less damage to Turrets but not the Sunderer. Seems more an more they keep making it so Sunderer is the only thing you should drive. Still hilarious how two Basilisk can melt a tank.
Oh the notes also said Pods do less damage to aircraft which is incredibly dumb. Guess they want to promote the no skill A2A missiles even more.

Burster's got nerfed pretty hard.
I played my dual burster max last night; tonight, it's a lot harder hitting planes.

I think it said something like the max damage area is down to 1.5m from 3m but still has the same overall blast size as before. It just starts to lower the damage sooner the farther you are from the center.
If it was up to me on ground AA being a deterrent Id make them cost less certs/SC or give points for damage dealt. If a weapon costs the same number of certs/SC to deter something (read- not kill without an amount of help) as something that is more or less a pure upgrade (rocketpods) that flat out kills then why bother with it? Maybe ground AA should be about 500-750 certs instead of 1,000. IF takes at least 2X the amount of people being AA to take on air then why not make it so 1.5X-2X the amount of people can get it? Being AA will still be a dedication and it wouldn't seem to be such a massive setback for a mere deterrent. Win-win I think.

I was of the opinion the Pods should have had their magazine size cut in half an direct hit damage doubled. So it wasn't impacted much as an AV weapon but is less good for farming Infantry. This patch just made them technically worse at AV at least against Sunderer/Air, and doesn't much change their effectiveness at farming Infantry.

No problems here skyguard, bursters all seem to be doing their job.

my outfit was testing this today as well, and we found that bursters have stronger flak damage but are less accurate and the skyguard is extremely accurate but does less damage.
The pod nerf was that it's splash damage is less
It's the opposite, it's more splash but inwards towards the center of explosion...
They decreased the radius in which the rockets make a "direct hit" but left the splash radius the same.
