Stat Sig Templates!

In preparation for stat signatures going live to everyone (probably later today) I'd love to put some more empire templates in there as well as maybe some more neutral, and PSU templates.

I know we have some graphics folks around here so I'd like to rally you guys to do some more of our default signature templates.

Requirements as follows:

450x100
PNG Format
Not much text (ps-universe.com is auto populated) some text is ok similar to the PSU sig but remember, it will be written on top of.
Should match up with our text layout (seen below)
Smallish File Size, preferably no more than 60k if possible.


I will add sigs that I like to the stat sig page so they can be selected by anyone.

My best advice would be to just grab one of our existing sigs like mine and use that as a template. I wouldn't be able to get something else going till late tonight.

Does the font change? What options are you giving users, what do we have to account for? Fixed Font size? Different Font options? Is the Faction logo dynamic, or is that in the base image? Do you adjust font size based on length of name?

What font are you using and can I have a link to the file? You can never know the spacing of fonts by eyeballing them. IE: The indent on the user name.

Right now the font does not change - account for exactly what you see in my Sig :)

The faction logo next to the names right now is generated when the sig is generated, so that is not needed.

I need one with the infrared scope in the background! It's just not PS2 without infrared view. :D

Whoops, I forgot to specify the images should be in PNG so I can't add them quite yet.

They need just a bit of cleaning up/darkening in order for the text to show through well. I can add them a bit later, or you can darken them up a bit for me ;)

Good news, but was still just curious. I've been a supporter since 2003 but never a "contributor." Always loved the site so was just wondering how I can help. I still have the PSU T-Shirt I bought 9 years ago. :P

Nice initiative, although I'm a bit worried to that this whole stat/leaderboard thingy is promoting the wrong kind of game play. Stats should show your achievements in team play or objective play rather than the horrible k/d ratio that only shows how good you are at farming.

Maybe the server name could be shown just below the players name?

We are getting closer to being able to display that now. Originally we could only see server name when the character was online but the API changed a bit and we can get the data all the time. We are working on updating all 20k characters in our database. :lol:

Hey Hamma just wondering if we could get a few new faction specific sig pictures with some of the new armour and helmets, like the TR Dreadnought helm and Ogre MAX armour for instance. That's if you or one of the team has time of course.

Yea i don't see how to add my sig to my character. i understand what you want me to do but i don't know the code needed to add the sig to my character page.

You shouldn't have to do anything. On your "Characters" page, where all you different characters are listed, there is a window just below the signature style image you have chosen and in that window is the code you need for forums and the like.

But when you go to the page of your actual characters the signature automatically appears at the bottom of the stats.

Make one with my K/D and any nonteamwork stat HUGE. Kidding! But hey don't succumb to the whiners, allot of us actually like kills stats and such. Sure go ahead and make one w/o those stats but keep them in for the ones that want it. I could go on about this but I don't want to derail this post.
