We are proud to announce the full scale release of PlanetSide 2 Statistic Signatures! This new feature will allow you to display your current PlanetSide 2 Character statistics on any website across the internet. We have no restrictions on where you can use them! Creating a stat signature is just a few simple steps.

First go here (http://www.planetside-universe.com/characters.php), if you have already claimed your character you will have the option to create a signature. If not type your character name in the top right and click "Get Stats" once viewing your characters stat page click "Claim Character" this will mark that character as your own and allow you to create a new stat signature here (http://www.planetside-universe.com/characters.php) Here are a couple of examples:

This is the start of the feature, if you don't like K/D wait till we make it more customizable. We are starting with a basic feature set and moving on from there. If you have a way to add more hours to the day for Gryphon than be my guest - but we have got to start somewhere.

Just thinking out loud..

each field must have some string description and a meta tag of some sort,
including having the desc for each tag optional,
and i'm thinking ALL stats fields,
newlines optional,
orientation - left right center top bottom align,
pixel width height adjustable but preset to a default or bkgrnd img,
everything in drop down boxes and text submits,
and finally - png transparent


question is, what kind of html magic is needed to overlay it to a user selected background ? is it even possible ?
if so, optional,
let the two images merge on the 'edit' page and toss up some ads on that page as well?, while reading the pixel size from the background to re size font, orientation, align, etc...
have a text only output version with no gfx/png or anything, just text.

2 url's - 1 pointing to the transparent stats from psu and another for the background and the result is merged on the client end/side..
ofcourse it all needs to work in BB and other places people wants to use it.
not to mention ps-universe.com always hitch a ride in a corner or something.

PS: if the end result transparent png stay below 1,3-1,4k, it gives the least load on net and servers

The sig refresh is fine, it's the data from SOE that says you are 42, we can't do anything about that other than let them know. All we can do is display the data they provide.

edit: Ok yes, I do not have it linked properly is my guess. If you look at the top of this page it shows the sig plate, BR66. However my sig says BR62. I uploaded the picture and then use [.sigpic] to put it in my signature, I've a feeling this is wrong...

I think the sig plate is working fine, I think I have it linked to my signature wrong. Maybe not, I'm computer illiterate sometimes.

So if you look at post #46, it shows me as BR66(updated to most current data pull from soe), but if you look at the one where I tried to put it into my signature it has it as BR62.

There seems to be an issue in having current data. But I don't know if it's SOE broke something or if it's a PSU problem.

The PSU stat system uses data directly from data.soe.com. If it's working, but the data isn't fresh, that's very likely SOE.

^ someones butthurt they cant kill more than they die. Not everyone can have a 5/1 kd. It's just a stat. I'm sick of people complaining about K/D ratio being in the game or in a sig. They want to take away a perfectly fine working function (when SOE updates the leaderboards) all over the fact that a couple people kill whore.

Have you logged into the game since you got the sig in? It might need you to log in and out to update it and kick the stat system into action.

It would be nice if Hamma were to put the option to show XP/Min instead of K/D on the sigs. SOE is trying to lean that way after all. Mine isn't spectacular, but looks better than the K/D

Not an option yet, but due to popular demand I have changed it to XP/Min. No need to do anything, current sigs will update on their own.

Then again I'm not paying them to host or provide these sigs, so the choice is simple: don't use them.

My K/D is wank but at least it represents something specific.

Someone who hovers around bases waiting for caps in their ESF (or better yet, spawncamping Liberator) will look great though. GJ.

I honestly don't even see it happening that soon - there's to much in the API still not ready yet.

I expect it will be out in the next week as Smeds has said but I agree there will still be so much of the API that isnt ready.
Initially it probably wont provide much more than what we see on PSU.
Graphically it will be more appealing but the content wont differ greatly.
Then we'll see a list of extras they plan on adding to it over the next 6mths.

For some reason,my signature doesn't show that i belong to the outfit I'm in,this may be from back when people got randomly kicked because of a bug,or may be part of an issue in the forums. either way,i'm unsure of it. I'm in 1st CAV aif that makes a difference

I had something yesterday happen. I tried to log in and got a message saying my account was banned. Yet it went away within 10 minutes, and I did nothing. Could the fact that we are displaying as BR:0 cause that? Or is this only on our end and not ours. Apologies for mentioning a ban Hamma, seeing as it was lifted almost immediately and this BR:0 thing while still having huge amounts of XP has been happening, I was wondering if they were related.

Any idea when we may see the BR and Empire back?

It is not related. Appears the BR is fixed, will probably require that you login to trigger an update to your data.

Ah ok, I was really confused. It did indeed ask me to log in when I started the game, yet I was already logged in. Then it didn't let me log in anywhere else. Was mildly frustrating, but it went away quickly.

How long did that go on for? Like I said, it only lasted like 10 minutes for me, but I'm not sure if it was active before that and I was just on at the tail end of it.

About to tick over three weeks since the tweet above.

If its taking this long it going to be more detailed than http://bf3stats.com/ which isnt even an official page for BF3.
Not to mention the BF3stats app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bcseime.bf3stats3&hl=en) that compliments it.

Now if a couple of guys who are just gamers can produce that imagine what the dedicated PS2 webdev team are about to unveil to us when this is finally released.
Surely it will set new benchmarks, I cant wait for the launch.

We will bug the API people, we remove them if they are flagged as deleted in the API, which this character currently is not flagged as deleted. There is no way for us to determine if a character should be removed without the flag other than the obvious.

This new feature will allow you to display your current PlanetSide 2 Character statistics on any website across the internet. We have no restrictions on where you can use them! Creating a stat signature is just a few simple steps.

Same data you have here stats wise and says last updated Dec 23rd but the "incoming messages" shows up until Jan 31.
