Why do you need numbers to make a name memorable?

I don't. I go by the same handle in every game, and use that handle on the web sites relating to them. I don't need numbers, I just have no desire to use a new name. I just find it inconvenient and will end up forgetting my username to login at some point. It isn't a big deal; it's not like I'm forced to use this site solely for my Planetside information, and if it bothered me that much I could go elsewhere. But I like the site, and I like what you guys do here. It's like your profile says: If the community isn't fun, the game isn't fun. Having to use a new username isn't fun to me, being able to use my handle of choice is. It's just disappointing, that's all.

There were application related reasons we disallowed names with numbers at some point. Gryphon would be able to comment a bit better. We didn't just do it because :D
