Good news! I finally found some time today to complete part one of my guide for the Reaver! :D

Some info about me:
I love reaver piloting and spend most of my time up in the air.
I lead an all air based outfit.
I am the #1 ranked NC on the SolTech server.
I have around 2050 kills with the reaver, most of them being A2A with the vortek, some being A2A with Tomcat, and of course some rocket pods thrown in.

Anyway, here's my guide to the various reaver builds that I fly. I post regular PS2 vids to my channel so check back often.

I'd love feedback if you guys have any suggestions or comments! Thanks!

What builds are your favorite? What do you do different on your ESF and why?

Nice one, bit on the long side. Maybe you should have focused on A2A set-up only.

Yeah, it's a long video, maybe making seperate vids for A2A and A2G would have been a better idea. Same amount of content just broken up into smaller sections.

I would maybe try hover stability unless u already did in beta (I see it uncerted in your video). You can roll / pitch to counter the slow yaw in any situation.

And thermal, at least one, I use two because I don't give any shits. I think the stats are 500m infrared rendering versus 300m thermal rendering. I do fine with double thermal, but I'm not a K/D guy, I go face first and cross my fingers.

And composite armor. Get that.

My outfit buddy has Hover lvl 3 on his reaver and he let me try it out several times. I do like it, and it does let you pull verticalthrust (reverse maneuver) and brake maneuvers quite a bit better, but I still don't think there's any replacement for being able to turn faster and get on your opponents tail. You can always use roll/pitch to aim, but it's much more sensitive, therefore, it doesn't allow you to do as precise of aiming as the yaw controls do, especially when taking out infantry.

Like I said in the video, I'd probably get the hover for A2G, but I'm finding that not having the dogfighting airframe really impairs my ability to aim and fly through objects low to the ground, which makes me hesitant to ever turn it off. :P

I rarely see reavers flying around much anymore, and I tend to fight the nc more than the vs. I use to see a lot if them.

Never a shortage of scythes, though.

I see them all the time on SolTech, though there does seem to be more Scthe's and mossies in the air than reavers lately.

Yea this tut was a patch too late for the Reaver. #RIPREAVER

Hopefully they revert the Afterburner inertia change. I heard that it was a glitch that it was removed, which I believe to be true because it was not mentioned in the patch notes.
