I've played games for 12h a day and loved every minute of them. You can't just discount valid criticism with "well it's just because you played a lot!" Though of course Higby is never going to respond to criticism. He'll just blow it off with a snarky comment like he usually does and then get back to his twitter PR spiel, spamming about how SOE is totally banning all the hackers etc.

I have played far less and I still agree with most of what he says. Honestly if I had Battlefield 3, it would be hard for me to justify playing this game, because in its current state with no metagame, it's Battlefield 3 except it takes much more effort to find a fun, balanced battle and there's 5000 tanks and aircraft instead of 2 or 3. It needs something more to differentiate itself because the gameplay certainly doesn't do a good job of it, and the "huge battles omg" thing is cool until you realize that the game actually doesn't work at all in huge battles because of the render distance.

Lets clear this up a little bit, SKY isn't autistic or any other condition hurled his way thus far. Kill farming is the name of his trade, this double XP week i didn't see him outside of his lib once. Smart plays and predicting farms, thats how he did it and of course a fair amount of time invested, he does work ladies and gentlemen.

It's a "World First" but really doesn't mean shit. MMOs and even some FPSs make a big deal of getting that max lvl. There's end game content, prestiges, the game usually changes when you max out.

Not in Planetside, and it never should be. Battle Rank is almost irrelevant, it's just a cap you no longer level. You still get certs, you still use them, and you still have fun.

Planetside should never be about Who reached BR 100 first, who got a Million Kills first, who got the biggest killstreak. It's supposed to be about the coordination and team play. That outfit that's been training for years through multiple games to learn how to work together and can now effectively deploy a squad of Tanks, Air fighters, and an infantry platoon to one target and dominate it through tactics.

We should be able to see who heals the most, who repairs the most, who has the most vehicle kills, but these things are not supported in the public eye, no leader board. So we just have a ton of people trying to race to 100 and they are learning to play the game the wrong way.

Well, I wouldn't discount sky's opinion. PlanetSide 2 is definitely one of those games you get burned out on pretty easily. PlanetSide 1 wasn't, and this is a gigantic problem.

Higby's response seems to be to be a joke. Personally I've never played a game for so many hours without end and not gotten bored of it. I believe in his response, but that doesn't mean sky's opinion is invalid. It's more than valid. PS2 has a problem.

Buzzcutpsycho really isn't happy about losing is he? Is he like the Dear Leader to you or something, because you're believing whatever random garbage he makes up.

I mean Buzz is a good fps player, and the fact that he only plays infantry is commendable. I play 95% infantry as well and I understand how hard it is to get kills compared to whoring vehicles. But he lost, and the guy he lost to did not cheat. It's that simple.
