There's a discussion over on the PS2 forums about having more options for the platoon leader when Turtlestation said something very interesting that would make a great addition to gameplay.
The problem is simple enough and I experience it plenty of times every game session during the confusion of battle. The PL or SL calls you to follow them but in the milling mass of a zerg or siege it can be very tricky to pick them out on the minimap with all the clutter/bugs or just to spot their name among all the people.
So the simple fix for it would be to give them a badge/pin next to their floating name that easily id's them when you do a quick scan.
Say a silver star/chevron for the squad leader and maybe a gold oak leaf cluster for the Platoon leader, both are different enough to be visual distinct or something along these lines.
The badges would only be visible to squad/platoon members.
I think this might help out some.
