M30 Air Hammer A2G Gameplay Commentary

Hey guys, this is a video I've been meaning to put together for a while. My goal is to change their opinion and help people realize the awesomeness that is the M30. I love the M30, and I think a lot of people undervalue it. It takes a lot of skill to use effectively because you have to fly so low to the ground to use it, but it is very rewarding with practice. Nice video, I've been flying with the M30 AH myself and i can attest to it's effectiveness. But instead of having the afterburner boost i use lock on missiles. and instead of the dogfighting frame i use racer.

This makes it harder to hover and thus make ground kills, but i feel it compensates well by being awesome in Air fights.

Start of shooting missles from afar, and then use the speed from racer to close he gap and give him a beating with the AH. If he tries to flee, another missile will take him for sure.

Ofcourse, if you are really good with the AH and hit pretty much every shot then your setup seems better, but sadly my aim isnt that good.

Definitely looking forward to more videos, especially the A2A one you mentioned. That's what I focus on most. I just use the default gun (I prefer slower firing guns with more range myself) plus afterburners at the minute.

I mostly focus on hunting Libs, already weakened ground targets, and other ESFs. Hopefully I can get some tips when that video comes out. ;)

I recommend the Dogfighting lvl 3 because of the increased rudder speed helping in manevuerability and precision aiming (helps track air targets horizontally for more accurate continuous bursts and helps turn to aim at ground targets without have to roll sideways and pitch up/down).

I sometimes have been running with the M30 + A2A missiles. They combo themselves quite well because the reload time each of them is just enough time to unleash either a full mag of M30 or get a lock and fire it, and then switch to the other weapon just in time to keep firing constantly.

The good thing about rolling with the M30 + A2a missiles is that you are effective vs air but still maintain effectiveness against ground targets (you just probably shouldn't run with the scout radar without AB imo), which is where you are going to farm certs much faster.
