Because the warpgate position OP.

Add more continents, fix the metagame.

After swithcing WG position on Indar I have to admit: the NC (current VS) wg position is horrible. We really need way more teamwork to get out of there after a WG lock (putting more effort into "keeping" Indar now) and your options where you can go are also pretty limited. Against a smart enemy (with overpoplation) it's a pain in the ass to get out of there. And when we are wg locked, even with the new xp bonus, we do not really care and only come back once they have given up camping the wg.
They should really redesign the area around the warpgate. (And maybe make the xp pop bonus actually an incentive to fight)

They made something that made NC guns register more hits. I play on low effects and it used to be the effects of bullets bouncing on the wall were almost toothpick sized. After the update, it's between medium and low effect, almost medium, actually.

Then after the hotfix, it's back again. I've arrived at the hit registration independent from others. Meaning players converged on this idea on their own. I've read though that's guns are registering more accurately again on one of the official forum complaints thread. But I have yet to try the guns since then.

If it's a performance issue, we arrived at the conclusion at the NC weapons hitting a lot more than it used to separately. And this is before the stutter hotfix.

I'm more inclined to think that we have all developed leet skills overnight. But then I am biased.

They needed a bit of an accuracy improvement though. Even when on semi auto they were horrific until the recent patch.

Now they are more like what a gun should be like.

This isn't the 17th Century afterall!

NC pops are high on Mattherson now (38% yesterday night) while VS have pretty much tanked and are in the 20s. As TR, we've warpgated VS a few times, but trying to warpgate NC at NS Salvage Yard is like the UES where every action takes 10 seconds to execute and you just randomly die to a grenade. There's just a lot more NC around.

Hm... I didn't notice anything... but I mostly run with my NS11a and the SMG, those weapons are not really NC core material.

From my POV they seemed to be absolutley OTT just after the patch but then got toned down after the hot fixes.

It's all pretty odd because the DEV say there were no changed and yet it certainly felt as if they were.

And, this has been said to me independently by several people.

So, I don't know what to make of it all, maybe it has all been an artifact of the performance issues.

I know I have been calling for NC to receive a buff or two so if they have that's fine, but not as it was just after the patch.

Waterson NC are doing worse actually. We only really gain ground on Indar, we are constantly getting gated on Esamir and Amerish.

We have good fights, but we don't have much momentum.

It's because theres a latency issue that SOE is trying to fix going on that makes it so that a couple shots of every high RoF weapon don't register.

As the greek boy said its netcode, and the warpgate moved, so the nc don't have crap warpgates right now. Alot of the sucess of the TR was based on warp gates.

Also the Cyclone has extremely short range(under 25 yards) but with in that range it has user friendly characteristics more like the other factions.

Its by far the easiest gun to hit stuff with if you are an average or worse player.

Yea needless to say the warp gate locations on each continent are far from even footing.

Yea needless to say the warp gate locations on each continent are far from even footing.

The North WG on Indar is far to good of a starter point. Half of the map is given to that WG by default. It may be the same number of bases in that wide open area as the SE and SW WGs but it covers half of the map with how big they are. Even if all of it only gives 33% of territory control, it's still half of the map and that give HUGE boosts to the owners.

It's one of the "round peg jammed in a square hole" problems the conts have all thanks to the forced need to max out playable space for the hex system.

Best part about warpgate rotation is everyone still blitz's toward TR warpgate.

But on subject. There was definately an increase in performance. I was killed by a Gauss SAW a territory over a few days ago. (Crown into Ceres) But that was one moment. There's some other experiences that just make it feel like NC weapons are performing better on average.

Played my NC guy this morning in a long time. Gauss SAW no attachments. It actually seems like I don't need to burst fire with it at all until over 50 meters. Flinching still seems a little big though.

Since SOE seems to balance around average performances I guess we'll see if any balance changes may come in the future.

I actually don't think it is netcode, the missing shots hurts NC too. I've died quite a few times to a guy I've had dialed in at point blank range and still missed way too many shots.

Imagine how good it is in my hands then. I can even kill things further than 25 yards away with it.

Thats incorrect, actually. It's an issue with high ROF weapons, something like the error, basically, makes the netcode have trouble detected hits in rapid succession. NC weapons do that alot less due to thier lower ROF, so now they are winning more 1v1 firefights, which translates into more overall success.

And high RoF weapons compensate for it quicker. Anyway, I'm not going to argue about it, everyone has this issue and it pisses everyone off. I've even had it happen to my Vanguard once or twice.
