Yes or No? Would you guys like to see server specific forums?

Would love it, though being on Genudine, I don't know who I'd talk to. :D

I definitely want a direct line-in for Jaeger's playerscape.

It would make the Waterson events a bit easier to to see and would make a much better place for clan recruiting. Having all clans fight over the first page is kinda rough on the person looking for clans on his server even on just faction sub-forums. Once someone gets SC or a bit of certs into a troop they're never want to give that guy up (or be forced to spend more for a server token without damn good reasons).

I voted yes, but like any sub forums. They will never be as lively as the main general forums and may even die out if that there are to many.

I voted yes, but honestly this needs to be done on SOE's forums rather than here. Some folks prefer the official site and others simply don't like this one. Making sever boards on the official forums will ensure that all folks are included in the discussions.

Those people are masochists if they like the Official Forums :p

I have all of one post on the PS2 Official Forums.

I peruse the official forums maybe once a week ? once a fortnight ?

Anyway, for PSU I think it would be a great addition

Be nice to see who's on Jaeger finally...So yes. And I never use the official forums.

Do it, but don't go locking threads and banning people when people start talking smack to one another.

Shit talking is a good thing despite what some might think. It generates rivalry and keeps people playing the game so they can own the people they hate.

Yes. We need a separate place from legit game discussion(in general) where we can trash talk, brag and talk about server specific activities.

SOE should have made these from the start but they didnt.

Wouldn't hurt, its worth a try. May attract more people here.

Wait, is that a good thing?

+1

Server forums make more sense on the official forums, I'm not sure this forum is big enough to sustain active sub-forums for every server.
But as we're not seeing any server forums on the official site any time soon, you can give it a try. Who knows, it might attract additional audience to this site.

There's no reason to go to the official forums, even the devs like this one more. I've never posted on the official forums on ps or ps 2 and proud! I think this would be a great feature for this site as most decent players come here anyway, cos they knows it !;)

Its a good idea, go for it!

(I voted yes btw) but Looking at the number of Servers out there, maybe combine a few ? Even make it so far as going

EU
Americas
Oceanic

Something like that. People can just type in Server name in the Subject of a thread they start to focus the Audience?

"[Miller] - Day 25 and the VS still own Indar, even with both factions combining"

Something like that.

Oh absolutely, server specific forums would be fun. Some jive talk, some alliance conspiracy theories, some combined hacker identification(permissible to call out hackers on PSU?)

Would I be able to at least read some of the post from other servers. I mean I like reading other peoples ideas and making comments, regardless of there server.

I'd imagine so, but what would be the point of posting gameplay ideas in a server specific forum when they belong in general forums. I'm guessing the server specific forums would be more about specific community issues relevant to that server.

I'm looking forward to the Miller forums, werner forums reborn, with our combined insight we will identify Roamcells PS2 alt :D

If we get server subforums here and on the official side, we can discuss Waterson politics and events here like gentlemen, and insult each other over on the official forums and complain how OP the other factions are. A win win situation.

Maybe even some parts of the forum faction specific permissable? i.e.: You have to claim your main faction when the servers go up and you can only view your factions "secret" forum sb-sections and not the other Empires' "secret" forum sub-sections.

YES, but I fear that most will get little traffic.

Definetely, The official forums may be more fit for that but PSU is still the number 1 PS2 website

Each Server should have a section, with its own Server Discussion and Outfit Recruitment sub forum.

Well on Gamespot they have genre specific forums that go completely unused, despite having a lot of forum users.

I would say go for it if there is a population to support such a thing. You don't want 20+ nearly empty forums.

This would be epic but to difficult to implement.

Each Server should have a section, with its own Server Discussion and Outfit Recruitment sub forum.

I'm not sure it would be worth going quite that far.

What about "Region" Specific Forums rather than Server Specific? East Coat, West Coast, EU etc?

Gimpylung

You could try server specific initially, if they appear to be quiet or too much work to moderate you could then merge them into zones

Maybe 1 each for each large server and the smaller ones can be grouped by region.

If they don't get lots of traffic I'll merge them into regions.

The Original ps1 Forums had that.

Regional and Server i think it was a very Good thing, i donĀ“t know why they Isolating the Community into different Forums, like the German and the SOE ones ect,...

Only addintional commenting here ;)
