View Full Version : What class would you be?

...if the game forced you to only pick one and never change?

MAX is the exception to the rule. For the purposes of this discussion a MAX is treated like a vehicle.

So, gentlemen, what class would you pick and why?

I would have probably chosen heavy assault. Because I am the sort who when given the choice between an M-16 and an M-239, would go with the M-239. It has more dakka. The fact the heavy gets rocket launchers just sweetens the deal.

So how about the rest of you? What would you choose if you could only choose one?

Engineer, no second thoughts. I'm a vehicular combatant first, an infantry combatant second.

Heavy but it's nearest thing over choosing Light Assault

All classes are almost equally fun to play, imo. Unlike games like BF3 and COD, SOE did an excellent job with this. But if I had to choose it would probably be HA, being the best universal damage dealer.

Engineer. Good weapons and versatility.

It's tough. Medic or Engineer?

Engineer, no second thoughts. I'm a vehicular combatant first, an infantry combatant second.

Heavy Assault for me, for the same reason.

Engineer. Heavy Assault can deal out some serious damage, but step on one of my mines and they won't be for long.

That and I get so much damn xp as engineer.

Medic! In the middle of the fight.

Heavy Assault. SMG/Default for close up, Carv/SKEP for longer range. Blowing up vehicles is a lot of fun. That said, because I am not forced to choose, I spend a lot of time playing Engineer as well. Would really suck balls to not be able to play all the classes.

-Carbine, shotty, SMG, or battle rifle

HA so I don't get 2-shot by a shotgun. I really hate that when I'm other classes, where you get two shotgun users that kill each other. Happens all the time when I'm engy/medic.

Somebody plays warhammer. Nice to see another. What Army?

Anyway, I'd play heavy assault. I am confident in my abilities to handle any situation with that class. The variety of weapons helps too. Rocket launchers, C4, the shielding, special grenades, and LMG's going from suppressive fire down to a heavy assault rifle are fantastic.

I would seriously be unhappy... I like Inf, Heavy, Max, etc. I pull whatever I think is needed at the time.

That said.... If I had to pick only 1?

Engy... hands down. I drive vehicles too much, enjoy placing mines (both AV & AI)... and the various weapons can be tailored to both close-quarters, as well as medium/long range.... especially with the SMGs now in place (especially with unlimited ammo of engy)... I love those for Engy in Bio Labs and buildings.

Engineer hands down.

Engineer. Even though I tend to spend more or just as much time on an HA, I just wouldn't want to give up having the repair tool when I need it.

HA.
Engis may have greater versatility but it also means more tricksing and more farting around.
When I want to kill someone I shoot them in the face, I don't have to play hide and seek with mines and turrets if I don't want to.

Very hard choice. Engi or LA or Infil...

I guess I would get sad if I could never pull a sniper rifle. With the SMG in the infils hands now I guess that seals the deal. Has to be infil for me... but would make me sad, no tank mines no jet pack...

I'd continue with my Medic. Simply because I'm so bad ass with it.

edit-
Picking friendlies up in between shooting baddies down. Chasing down vehicles to throw C4 on them. Regenerating health from near death and coming back from a different angle for revenge.

Engineer, even though it has the least certs of all the classes... mainly because I only really use it when driving.

Right now? Light Assault, 700x better at infiltration than the supposed infil suit. If there was an actual infil suit, I'd pick that.

Engineer - Mainly because of vehicles, but his ability to insta-kill a sundy with tank mines is not bad as well and he rips with the LC2 Lynx.

Light Assault.

Needs a bit of fleshing out, but in the hands of a skilled user, the jetpack can be used to gain the upper hand in just about any anti-infantry situation.

Not to mention C4 can make quick work of just about any vehicular threat you may encounter.

And I just don't want to follow the HA crowd like everyone else. ;)

Heavy

Good guns with plenty of ammo. Rocket Launcher to deal with vehicles. Resistance shield for double HP. Add Advanced Shield Capacitor for faster shield regen and up to 4 Restoration Kits for health regen and you're almost on par with a MAX unit as far as armor/ health goes

Light Assault, no argument there.

I love my jet pack, C4, and underbarrel 'nade launcher way too much to give them up. In the right hands, this combination can rain fiery hell and devastation from above.

I really like explosive work in this game, so either mining engineer or tank-hunting HA.
