What do you think are the best features introduced in Planetside? Or at least not used in general.

For me:
-All weapons shown on character model. No more huge surprises. No more shoving AKs in pockets and pulling rockets launchers out of the ass.
-Decent pilotable dropship!
-No NPCs or AI of nearly any kind.
-No real pickups to speak of. God, I HATE powerups (Halo cloaking and overshield, ARRGH).
-Apparently, realisticly strong tanks and fighters
-The sheer size
-Apparently, tactics also actually win over skill of individuals

Well i'd say it goes something like this:

1- The whole damn game!
2- Grief system
3- The whole damn game!
4- 3 sided struggle for power
5- The whole damn game!

I would say everything. BTW, next time, why not just use a real poll?

This is not a poll, nor do I have time to make a poll with 1,000,000+ choices. This is a request for input.

The fact that I will be killing other peoples avatars from all around the world. It just makes me happy when kill someone in the most annoying of situations. A good example would be I sneak into an enemy base with infiltrator suit, and plant some explosives on their galaxy pad. I stand still in a hiding place until they fill the galaxy fully, then... Kaboom. Think of how annoying that would be :D

Pretty much. Those are just the features I thought were great. There's a crapload more.

1.) The amount of players that will (hopefully) be on at any given time
2.) Tanks
3.) Planes
4.) Infiltration Suits
5.) The Terran Republic
6.) The ability to kill VS soldiers
7.) The ability to kill NC soldiers
8.) Like the original poster said, no more charactars finding the most interesting places to hide a rocket launcher. Gotta love being able to see what the other guy has brought to the party :)

The novelty of no AI and 4-5000 REAL people on at any one time has me :drools: over this game

COME ON MAY 19TH

Sniping someone, and not haveing the guy dodge the shot, or go invisible, thanks to Force Power. Or them blocking a shot with their light sabre

.... Did I mention I'm a Jedi Knight 2 Master? :D

The Weather\Day-Night system. They both leave so many variables for attack that the game will NEVER become unilateral tactics-wise.

Everything!

Ok but my fav things about this are:-

1. Killing other players - i get no satisfaction about shooting bots, but knowing theres a player at the other end of the line pulling his hair out as i frag the hell out of him makes me smile - yeah i am a sadistic git

2. The permenant world - the only thing that lets an FPS game down online is knowing that everytime you play again you have to do the same stuff all over again. The perm world will at least let you get that feeling of actually contributing to how the world looks and changes makes me happy.

3. Grief & the pay to play - lets hope all the twats who mess up games for people cant afford it...

4. The structure looks great with BEP etc, but will know more when i get to actually play it - give me a beta position out of pity!!

Persistant world has got to be my fav, with all the things that go with it - weather, day / dusk cycle, pay per month, experience points and levelling.

That sounds about right to me.

The persistant world is probably my favorite aspect. I loved DAoC RvR, but wished it could have been a FPS.
