So, fellow Planetside Universe Auraxians, I have a proposal for you. What do you think about having Planetside 2 outfit advocates?

i.e.: A memeber from each outfit to represent that outfit and to carry a special badge,or tag, like the PSU developers do. So that way when a member of PSU sees that a poster is part of a certain outfit that they've been wanting to join, AND that person is an outfit advocate, they can go talk to the advocate about joining the outfit. Just a little sumfin' I thought of. Thought that it might be an interesting thing to add.

Anyone care to agree/disagree? More opinions please! Also, I talked to Hamma about this and he said "An interesting idea! Pop it in the site suggestions forum." so I did, and there it sat. With only 10 views and no response. So I decided to post it here, so it would get more views, replies, and opinions. So let me see your opinions please! :D

Sounds good to me.

But what if someone requests the Badge and there not the outfit leader? That requires moderation which PSU doesn't have plenty of currently.

I have spoken to my own outfit leader about this and he said,

"I don't go on to Planetside Universe because I don't like the atmosphere of the forums. It gets too childish at times for me, so if you want to be our representative, go ahead and be my guest. You're doing me a favor."

So my thing is, if the job is given to a non-outfit-leader, it gives the leader more time to recruit on other sites and using other methods. In reality, it's actually helping out the outfit leader and allowing for better outfit promotion and recruiting.

But people dont join outfits because of your forum Status?

Either way i dont see a problem with it.

Well as long as there are a lot of positive responses to this forum, Hamma would do it. I talked to him about it and he said to post it onto the forums and see what you guys think. So it's my belief that if you all put enough positive opinions and views on this subject, that it will get added to the site.

The thing that would make the most sense with this would be to actually host Outfit Forums.

The other thing - once the API is a bit more reliable we can actually tell who Outfit Leaders and Outfit Members are when they claim their characters. It's possible we could use that to tag people as well.

Sounds sensible to me. I just need to get back in to Planetside 2 somehow to get reinvited back in. I got kicked out because of the bug taht was randomly removing outfit members from their outfit. The Problem is, I don't really know if our outfit is going to go back to Planetside 2 or Dayz or WarZ... it sucks Dx

So this is a good idea, but I think we are going to hold off till we can pull the data in from the API to the forums. :)

So long as it's limited to one person per outfit and those people are kept up to date, sounds good to me.

I'm always up here on the forums and then on my clan website during the weekends. Except for tomorrow, I've got a Halo 4 Scholarship Tourney. :D

But other than that, I'm pretty sure I myself can keep up to date.

Edit: Grammar.

I'm surprised that you are entertaining this idea. There is a recruitment section on this forum, why would it be necessary to give out all these special titles?

Because with the API it would be easy to - it would automatically happen when they claim their characters. :)
