Hey!

So I previously posted a thread on what I wanted to get, in order to upgrade my old PC; and it got a little messy, so I'm doing it again.

I'm not too good with computer parts, so I made a little template to make it easier (scroll down to see).

Budget: around 580USD (although I could stretch it to 600USD)

My current computer parts:

Processor AMD Phenom(tm) II X3 710 Processor, MMX, 3DNow (3 CPUs), ~2.6GHz

Memory 3328MB RAM

Hard Drive 640 GB +Cosair SSD (not sure which one)

Motherboard Is currently not available, so I'm going to have to get a new one

Operation System Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.100427-1636)

Video Card NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT

Physics Card No

Monitor BENQ G2220Hd

Soundcard Realtek HD Audio output

Template:

If the part will not be changed, then just delete everything except for "no". If you don't want to explain why you chose the new product or the price of it, you can just delete that part as well.

New Processor: (Yes/No) (Insert name of product) [Reason: just nice to know why. Not necessary though] [Price in USD (optional)]

More RAM Memory: (Yes/No) (New memory size: ) [Price in USD (optional)]

More Hard Drive Memory: (Yes/No) (New memory size: ) [Price in USD (optional)]

New Motherboard: (Yes/No) (Insert name of product) [Reason: just nice to know why, not necessary though] [Price in USD (optional)]

New Operation System : (Yes/No) (Insert name of product) [Reason: just nice to know why, not necessary though] [Price in USD (optional)]

New Video Card: (Yes/No) (Insert name of product) [Reason: just nice to know why, not necessary though] [Price in USD (optional)]

New Monitor: (Yes/No) (Insert name of product) [Reason: just nice to know why, not necessary though] [Price in USD (optional)]

New Soundcard: (Yes/No) (Insert name of product) [Reason: just nice to know why, not necessary though] [Price in USD (optional)]

Other: (Yes/No) (Insert name of product) [Reason: just nice to know why, not necessary though] [Price in USD (optional)]

Other Comments:

Thank you for taking the time to do this!! :)

All the cool kids are buying Core i5 3570Ks and over clocking them to 4.5GHz. Get one of those and an nvidia 660 Ti and you're laughing. 8GB of DDR3 RAM and any socket 1155 motherboard is fine. The rest is fluff when it comes to gaming, so pick based on the other things you'll use the computer for.
