Do we really need to know that a tank that carries 1 person has one person in it? I mean the tank has the name of its occupant anyway, and when it's empty it then has the name of the vehicle. Also, when you spot a Gal you can see how many people are in it. How? Surely if we have that technology we can just wall hack the entire map! Seems bizarre when we cruise diesel tanks:D

Do you have any legitimate arguments against it or is it just a gripe?

Only immersion.

tbh I wish they'd do away with the whole thing and just have the doritos. That goes for friendlies too, and as a medic I have to play with indicators on.

Or turn up the volume on the x-ray vision machine and melt them.

It they're hardened against radiation, then we would not be able to see inside. If they are not hardened against radiation, then one hit from any VS weapon will flood the insides with face melting x-rays (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bremsstrahlung).

Nevermind the fact that simply firing a plasma-based VS weapon (lasher & bolt-action snipers) would probably give the shooter a lethal dose of rads. Then again, if they're in a position where they're compelled to fire a plasma weapon in anger, they'll probably be getting a new body in a few minutes anyway.
