View Full Version : An idea concerning passive cert gain

Hi there,
I am more of a casual player that plays mainly on the weekends. This is of course a problem because of the need to log in every 24 hours.
I understand the point wanting to keep player accounts active by frequent logins, but I also have a 6 month premium account to counter the reduced playtime/experience gain.
So the best solution to the problem would be to remove the login thing for every premium player. But if that is not in the cards, how about extending the period that certs are gained without login by 1 day per month of premium - so I for example would get 6 more days, which pretty much means I would have to log in once a week.
This would only be fair and could easily be marketed under the advantages of premium.
What do you think ?

I agree its reasonable.
But they really do want you to log on every day.

i agree. with work i may may not be able to log in for 3-4 days at a time. atm i am on very low certs due to working alot and also when i do get on it is not for as long as id like. im also a premium member.
still love the game but would love the off line cert gain to be changed a little as id say most of us who pay and play work and cant get on all the time.
lets hope they have a look at this but as /Re is still broken im not holding my breath lol

I agree, it gets a tad hard to log in everyday for some people.
How about some sort of remote log-in via an app? You could log in via a smart phone, check your stats / certs, buy some gear and still get your passive cerrts?

I agree, but only for those that pay a monthly subscription, not to the free loafers *cough* like me *cough*.
I think they should remove the requirement for logging in once every 24hours for monthly subs. If you pay for 6 months worth of subs, you don't need to log in for 6 months to get your passive certs. It is automatically gain so long as your sub is still up.
If you don't have a sub or your sub ran out, you have the 24 restriction.
Very fair OP. Make this happen.

Any idea if this requirement is per account or character?

It's character based.

only works 1% of the time and in only 1 or 2 areas. been broken since beta and they haven't bothered fixing it yet.
ye the app would be good idea, when it is finally given to us if we log in on that to check stuff or do what ever it will let us do then that should be classed as a game log in. i can manage that from work :)

The passive cert gain is a constant number. I can't be arsed to look it up i'm sure someone has it... like 36 a day or something. It continues to click away if you are online or not.
While offline you have a small cache of space the passive certs can go into. Premium access increases the maximum size of the cache. So a F2P person has some number ~24 certs waiting for them if they've been gone for a long time, premium members have more depending on the level of their premiumness.
I never actually pay attention so I can't say what the total is but I think it is 50% more for a full auraxium member would be 36 cert max gain.
*anyone know the actual numbers please correct me... i pulled all of these out of my ass.
