Why don't they just give every tank in the game better hill climb capability. It would stop the the whole nerf argument of the mag and solve the other tanks issues as well. I think it's extremely annoying anyways driving any vehicle and you hit any surface that is higher than a 45 degree angle and your vehicle comes to a crawl. It's rediculous if you think about it. Tanks are supposed to be able to climb hills well right? So why the hell do they drive like dump trucks in this game?
Ps1 did tank movement much better. Vehicle fighting in this game was dumbed down imo to favor the CoD crowd.

Presumably, because they wanted them to handle like, you know, tanks. Planetside AFVs actually handle terrain better than any tank that has existed in the history of modern warfare. There isn't an MBT on the planet that will forward traverse more than a 60%-65% grade. That's a ~27 degree slope. 45? Come on. And it only gets worse the farther off-axis you get.
I'm not sure what you're complaining about.

The terrain in real life is usually a lot more flat though than it is on Auraxis.
Personally I don't really mind that tanks can't go up really steep inclines, I just don't like that it's very difficult to tell where you can and can't go up sometimes.
Infantry should be able to climb steeper hills IMO. It really annoys me when I'm trying to go up a hill on foot and I can sprint one second and the next I'm completely unable to proceed because of a minuscule shift in the terrain.

No thanks. Magriders could get into some ridiculous spots prior to the much needed rebalancing.

As long as all MBTs are on roughly equal footing I wouldn't mind.
It would be handy to see which hills you could go up and which you couldn't. Perhaps with a different texture. That would be a massive undertaking though, and I'd much rather the dev team put work in on more pressing issues.

It would be nice if all the terrain in general was reworked, provided more movement options. If bases and surrounding terrain made sense.

The issue was magmowers appearing in places they should be able to get to, aka on top of Vanu Archives.
Thankfully that was finally fixed.

It wasn't even that, really. I can't imagine a Magrider up there would be able to do a hell of a lot, so it would be no more than a curiousity. :p
However, Magriders being able to get on sides of cliffs did break things elsewhere. My favourite example is Broken Arch Road. Magriders back then could get on the cliffs and there was bugger all you could do about it, since they could camp the entire base from that unreachable terrain. The only thing that could touch them was lock on launchers, but good luck getting outside to even lock on.

It was a little more than curiosity at the time.
They even made use of that hill in the back ground as well.

You do realize that can still happen right? I could be wrong, but judging from the colors of the control points, that is post patch.
They didn't fix those issues, they created different ones.
Every place a mbt cant reach is a good place. There are already enough tanks everywhere.

i remember seeing a magrider ride up a 85 degree angle. it looked like a snail climbing up a wall. no.
