Haven't seen to many, if any, music threads in the Lounge.

So, what bands/artists are your favourite? Even throw in why you like them, to give this thread some content.

So, what be they? :D

Delerium and Magik mostly. Real trance and techno, not that hippie club shit or the stuff mtv rarely sends.

Also like Rammstein, enya and C&C soundtracks

Crono -
I was looking for a decent Trance CD, but I have no idea what artists are good. Could you name a few for me?

LesserShade

house and drum & bass.

Psyklone, I don't listen to trance as much as I used to and as much as I normally trash talk this guy, I would recommend paul oakenfold's Tranceport 1, or the much more recent oakenfold Traveling cd. Kimball Collins recent Music is Life cd is pretty good as well as far as trance goes.

Old School Suicidal Tendencies, Screeching Weasle, Powerman 5000, Audioslave, and the one I just picked up Seether.

So he likes to listen to O-Town. I had over 20 songs by Britney Spears before I formatted. Some were good, some weren't. This (http://kakarot.com/jason/playlist.php) was my playlist (minus a few extra hundred I added afterwards)

Used to be on the campus network and would just browse through. Now I just use TW's DirectConnect. Have gotten about 2,900 mp3s in just a couple of nights.

1- WOW! You checked all that already?!
2- Meh, they have been there for a LONG time and i only listen to them if the random falls on them. They aren't all that bad, just not too often. :D

I'm sure EVERYBODY here would disagree with a few songs on my list, i have a very very wide taste for music, the only music genre i totally hate would probably be french rap, even then a few songs are good. :)

:D A song really only needs one of either the lyrics or the instruments be good. I don't give a shit about the singer's voice, they are altered too often. But they only need one, really.
Instruments: Rammstein (don't know about lyrics, might be good but I don't speak German).
Lyrics: I would have to say Linkin Park has the best I've seen, but their instruments are good, too. So for the best example I can think of currently for this, probably Weird Al

Anyway if you can get past your prejudice some french singers/groups are good. Also by french rap i included Quebec as well. (Although i'd say 99.8% of Quebec rap sucks :p)

I can't say that I know anything about french rap, but that french hip hop track on hybrid's wide angle cd was oobah.
