I think SOE should force players to play on Amerish and Esamir for a few days or a week when they merge servers. A fresh start for all of us.

"Rotate" - I dont think it means what you think it means.

I think SOE should force players to...

Anything you put at the end of this is a bad idea.

Things need to be changed to encourage or discourage a change but to make a hard change that forces players to do anything will simply cause people to quit the game.

"Accidents" can happen.

Everyone I talk to is sick of Indar so I don't think you're right.

Yes, I've noticed that already. You know, it's SOE after all... :p

What do you mean by rotate? If you mean make Amerish the default continent new players spawn on when they first create a character unless it's full then I say yeah sure. I think or at least hope all continents are going to be near full next monday. So it would be a good idea to try this if were ever going to. It would let use more accurately judge which continent is really the most popular. Will everyone just go back to Indar or will they stay.

Totally. Make Amerish the default spawn continent and swap it's place with indar on all the relevant screens and lists.

Amerish really is more fun to fight on.

Yeah, really good marketing strategy that, to force your customer to do something by removing choice. Especially when that choice is the most popular option.

Indar isn't the default continent as far as I am aware. Whenever I've created a temporary character, the initial spawn seems pretty random. Try it.

Amerish really is more fun to fight on in your opinion. Which is not shared by the majority that prefer to fight on Indar; myself included.

Amerish may be beautiful, but there are not enough hex areas; the Amerish hex system is a dumbed down version of the hex system on Indar.

Better idea, double XP on Amerish and Esamir for a limited time.

Then why do they still play there?

Now that's more like it; entice people rather than force them.

In fact, a "low population" XP bonus could become a permanent feature; maybe not double, but something meaningful.

Because they don't have a choice the other maps are empty? It's the same situation in some other FPS games once they get old an population is low. There is usually that one map that runs in 24/7 rotation, and you can't find a match anywhere else. Indar got chosen cause zerg likes to camp the Crown. That's the only reason.

From a game balance point of view Amerish really is superior for a couple reasons. The balance between defense/offense primarily. Less Hexes is easier to defend. More mountains is less angles for Sunderers to sneak in so also easier to defend. More mountains also means aircraft are more relevant. Gal drops are much more useful on Amerish. ESF's have more opportunity to break the one million missile locks on them. Indar in comparison is so wide open in most places with many junk hex outposts which are only ninja capped, and never create good fights.
