Never mind, I'm dumb as hell, I thought this was a T2 mod FOR PS, but shouldn't this be in a tribes 2 forum?

^^ its a mod over tribes 2 inspired by PlanetSide.

[edit:] na u just read it wrong :D

Great job on it!
I enjoy 3d modeling/texturing in my spare time, but i've never worked on any mods before and the stuff i do is purely for single pics not animations/games.

Hopefully you'll get some great help.

Ill check up on it time to time to see your progress.

You sure you're allowed to make it and call it planetside? Isn't it an trademark or something? Oh and I'm pretty sure you shouldn't have the official PS logo up on the site!

Anyways good luck with the mod, but it's gonna have a tough time competing with the genuine article :p

Well, it could still be illegal. Remember the Duke Nukem mod getting axed.

This could actually be very fun for things like training missions and "extracurricular" Outfit activities.

Wrong.

This is a common copyright misconception. It limits damages to some extent in that they can't claim any profit you make, but they can still claim harm or dilution to their brand or images.

The key here will be either - 1) do they have permission, or 2) is it just PS "inspired" without using the specific images, ideas, etc.

Anyway, I'm not a lawyer, don't take my advice as legal, etc. - but there have been other mods that got into trouble over copyright.

Not that I mind being called a nerd. It is - or at least was, before the dot.com crash - a good way to get a job

Why do you think we had to ask for donations? :(

Umm - I'm guessing to pay for people to do your job for you, so you can spend more time in beta?

Admit it, imposter-for-hire Hamma!

At least, that's what I would do, after paying of my debts so I can understand. But hey, for legal help, you are getting what you paid for! :p
