So, we (TG) start our night out noticing that the NC has almost no territory on Indar, and we wanted to change that. We initiated Operation Thorn. Fly over their territory, set up a blockade in front of their Warpgate, and kill as much of their air forces as we can (conducted this against the VS and TR). Even if we didn't kill them, we could distract and slow them down. Well, the plan worked and the NC took back a lot of territory. We had a ton of epic moments and a ton of hilarious moments. I look forward to conducting tactics such as this again.

Lame tactics IMO, but to each their own. Could much easier use those numbers to take territory rather than camping a warpgate. It'd be different if you guys were close to taking Indar, but at the time NC's closest spawn was one outpost at Zurvan and The Crown. It wasn't tactical at all, it was simply picking off unsuspecting people at the Warpgate. Not only that but TR was pushed all the way to the NC warpgate when you were sitting outside the VS Warpgate and the VS had the lowest pop on the continent at the time with 16% Indar. It'd be more accurate to say you guys were interested in farming kills using lock on rockets rather than attempting to spin it as if you were pulling some strategic maneuver to better your factions foothold on the continent.
I found it interesting that you left out the part where I farmed you guys solo with my Magrider for a good 20 minutes. If you're going to farm the SE Warpgate I'd suggest making sure you have the highest point around.

Oh snap, that was you in the Mag? We saw that your rank was crazy high, and I saw the stats that night and that there was only one rank 88 VS at that time for all of PlanetSide 2. The VS warpgate was much more tricky to find a good spot. With the warpgate switch coming up again, that should change. I only cut that part out because the video was long enough at near 14 minutes (was originally around 2 hours of footage before I edited it down).
Honestly though, we really did that to see if we could cut off the air support from the warpgates. If wanted to just get a ton of kills, we would all hop in some ESFs w/ rocket pods and Liberators w/ Dalton/Zephyrs equipped and farmed infantry. The tactic we used that night meant that only one of would get the kill credit and most were individual kills since we mostly took out ESFs.
Sorry if this was taken as any other way than us trying out something we had never done before while trying to help out our guys capturing some points. Glad to have given you some certs by killing us a lot. You Magriders are a tough thing to kill.

Though it's nothing new, outfits including ours have been doing this since beta, it's a perfectly legitimate tactic in my opinion. Of course, Assist has a point about the pops. If TR is the biggest threat to NC, then NC should be attacking TR.

Everyone should always attack VS - because VS are dirty.

As I said in the response to him, I had to edit out a lot of stuff. I didn't include our preparation in which we decided that VS should be our trial run due to the lower population count. Again, this was out first time trying this in the way that we did. We had no clue if the numbers we had were enough to make any real effect. We did learn that having ESFs was not too effective. They were very good at taking on other ESFs and finishing off who the infantry couldn't, but they had to constantly go off and resupply. If we can figure out how to safely (and timely) get a Sundy there for the ESFs to resupply, then we will try that out.

You might be thinking of the other TG, Tactical Gamer. My TG group is Tactical Gaming. It is truly a hassle having such similar names. Both groups were started in 2004. What are the odds?

Oh, lol, you're right. I've been Tactical Gamer since '05. Do y'all use the [TG] tag too?

Yup. It confuses people all the time. We have even run into some of the Tactical Gamer people in BF3 in addition to PS2 and ask ourselves, "Oh, when did this guy join and why haven't I seen him on the forums" and then we realize they're your TG.
