Just a quick vid I tossed out there for you guys/gals:

Looks good, I can foresee a lot of these appearing in bio labs.
How about TR and NC versions, anyone able to enlighten?

Does this essentially obsolete the mauler?

Stats are already out LINKAGE (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/lv?key=0AuOojvNLMApVdEtIU1NKenEzNzZOSWNaanFqSUVxLW c&type=view&gid=12&f=true&colid0=17&filterstr0=SHOTGUN%2C%20PUMP&sortcolid=16&sortasc=true&rowsperpage=250)
Its the same stats as the TR/NC shotties. 146x10dmg (pump) vs 146x6dmg (auto/semi). so quite a big boost in raw dmg. If you OHK a guy and needa reload the thing it only has a .7 per shell reload, so pretty good. But as usual its pretty much made the two semiauto shotguns completely redundant, the ROF is damn near as quick with much more firepower.
Just tried the NC pump action one... WOW, I never once felt that the ROF hurt me since it only needed 2 shots max to kill someone and the quicker reload if you fired 1-3 shells makes the gun genuinely OP. Went 18-2 with it, on open terrain... It has made all other shotguns for me totally useless, I kill faster then a dual hacksaw! Plus the NC one has an animation where you can actually see the shell being reloaded and has a few shells stuck to the side of the gun.. Much more polished then the TR one.

146x10dmg (pump) vs 146x6dmg (auto/semi).
wow.
So it's basically a one-shot-kill noobtube compared to the current two-shot-kill noob tube. Reload time hopefully balances it out, but from the stats I'm hoping I get the auraxium medal quickly on the SMG so I can start using this.
I'll for sure be trying it out, 143 x 10 gives a lot of room for bad aim.
edit: wtf is with the reload animation! Looks like you're feeding quarters into a slot machine! I want to see some bigass slugs loading into that beast!
Hum, might need to reconsider this SMG close carbine range LA thing I've got going. (I also realise my stats are rubbish if another bothers looking)

Why would ANYONE use an SMG now with this in their hands.
Also, I use the Pandora a lot (auto shotty), but this reload time doesn't seem that bad a drawback for the lethality of the thing.
Will buy.

Well, it is odd in itself that the VS are actually putting...batteries (???)...one at a time in this. This IS the strangest VS weapon in this regard. Doesn't make much sense to me. NC and TR might make better sense, but not VS.

Ha, maybe the VS one should be operated like this?

The SMG can be used with an infiltrator so it still has uses.
Looks cool, probably will buy. Looking forward to the Nerf lol

 You had to say that... Lithium Battery Shot out of Shotgun -Slow Motion - YouTube
Shooting batteries out of a shotgun! Those poor TR and NC getting AAs shot at them
GD-66 Claw slug ownage - YouTube
^ Heres a quick video of the GD-66 with slugs (theres a bug where you get them for free even while trailing it!) The last 2 kills I was just testing hipfire with slugs.. not very effective but against the 2 VS snipers.. OHK headshots..
Also excuse the video quality, this is with the ingame recorder with all settings set to 'high' yet it still looks that bad !

That looks like an Extremely unbalancing addition to the game.
The Jackhammer is not even more effective.

My trial run with the VX86 impressed me, but I think that I'm going to stick with my Pandora.
I think I will be purchasing this when I get home today. :)

I don't recall the actual voting numbers for pump action shotguns on the roadmap, but the general response here was, "we don't need/want these." Why lower the average TTK even further?

I think we are now seeing that the Super fast TTK leaves little room for true variance in weapons.
the uppercut or morningstar or whatever it's called it's great.

Went on a 32 - 0 KS with the VS pump action and the entire time i was one hitting people then flying off like some twisted fetish batman was, "What role does this actually have in the game?" Honestly shotguns were almost insta gib material but these beasts are just unbeatable, who needs fire rate when every shot is a kill at typical shotgun without slug range.
i bought it
And i look forward to the nerf.

Just looked at the weapon data sheet on these. If the sheet is accurate, they have 1/3 less recoil than the other shotguns to go along with their added stopping power. Seems wrong, more pellets should mean more recoil.

It's quite obvious these are op to make money. The range in itself is super op one shots from pretty far from what I can tell. You are basically paying for these to get the op version for a while then it will get nerfed like it should.

I am a fan of the JH because it is actually useable at more than close range, but putting slugs into the new one seems to make it a good mid-range option too.

I think all you guys whining about the TTK - probably never use shotguns and just spend your time whining about them.

That's kind of pointless when the fire rate is so low the recoil settles before you get to fire again anyway.

No problem Ruff!
Note: some of the kills are against enemies that may have been hit already.

This is why they were voted down on the roadmap. But implemented anyway cause Pay 2 Win sells. Which is also why version 2 of them coming next week will be superior. The more we buy overpowered toys the less balanced this game gets sadly.

The Uppercut is a beast- it looks like a shotgun, sounds like a shotgun and damn sure kills like one. The reload animation looks good to me and there are even additional rounds attached to the side of it.

Ok I tried the uppercut - they probably should not have added these.
If nothing else they totally obsolete the current shot guns which isnt cool.

They obsolete all other weapons at close range cause they kill in one shot with only a small delay between shots. Only weapon that rivals it is Scattercannon's. Which hilarious enough fire faster. Basically it's like all Infantry can be almost as good as a ScatMAX now just slightly slower firing rate, and without that nice big health pool. Jackhammer, Semi Shotties, SMG's, not much point in them now. Either your using this indoors or in a MAX or your getting gibbed by them. Which is why one shot kills is bad game design.

Hmmm - if you cant make sense - be quiet.
The obsolete old shotguns(when fiing pellets) - because they have the same roll.
They dont "obsolete all other weapons at close range" because that concept just shows that you dont understand the words used to form it.
Other weapons were already inferior to existing shotguns at close range - because other weapons are useful at multiple ranges - it has nothing to do with obsolescence.

I was not overly impressed by the uppercut personally. Its damage is nice(or broken depending on which side of the weapon you are on) but the small magazine and slow reload turned me off to it. There was simply to much "downtime" with the weapon for my taste where I was sitting in a corner reloading.
I think I will keep my barrage over the uppercut for the time being because it fits my play style more. That and there is a strong chance that the pump-action will be nerfed so its not a one shot kill.

I did a small trial of the NC version (Claw I think the name is) and it seems to have a tighter spread than the Mauler with far more power. The reason I got the Mauler was due to it supposing to having the tightest spread, it's the same reason I run dual Mattocks on my MAX. Forgo a bit of damage for an extra 5 meters in kill zone range.
Now that these things outclass the Mauler in every way but ammo count and fire rate I feel kinda cheated sending 100s of certs into my mine. Hell I wouldn't have gotten the Mauler if I knew the pump actions where going to outclass it so much. I thought they where going to be a sawed off type that have more pellets, but far wider spreads.
I don't mind the new shotguns being more powerful, but giving them better range as well is OPed as hell in my eyes. And this is from a guy that defends ScatMAXes.

Yea it's kind of silly these were added when voted down. Their reasoning is they were already in flight so may as well finish them.

I kinda imagine the reasoning being the following.
"People won't like them, but they are going to buy them... Add em!"
I really didn't think that PS2 needed any more shotguns in the game, the Jackhammer was supposed to be the one shotgun to rule all others.

Bought the Uppercut. So this is what it's like to be on the giving end of a splattermax.

Increase refire/reload rate to 1.2 seconds a shell and these should be balanced.
