It's the future... so I'm sure that our technology in attaching suppressors should be fairly decent. Some games allow for this (Counter-Strike comes to mind) and I think it would be a great addition to PS2.
The suppressor really does allow you to go on some cool stealth-ops but it would be nice to take it off once you have been discovered and want that little bit of projectile velocity back.
Have an animation for unscrewing it and screwing it back on and let it take a bit of time (couple seconds maybe three). Perhaps an advanced suppressor could be added to all guns (costing 200 certs or more) that has a near instant switch. There is a button on the gun that triggers a mechanized switch from suppressed to non-suppressed. This would obviously require a new key/button press to do this since you can have the suppressor and laser sight on at the same time.
