Could also be a new XP source for scout radar users.

:( I'd rather see Infiltrators being able to remove IFF tools and crutches from the battlefield than have them rewarded for using them.

hopefully this is added in GU04, because right now those things feel useless.

I can understand if they give it to the detect device, but not scout radar. All you have to do is spawn a vehicle and scout radar works. With the darts you at least have to put away your weapon and aim at an area.

No, I have to disagree with that. It's not really the same.

Ah, it basically states that recon detect devices should grant xp somehow, and Whisenhunt from Sony agreed with me, and even stated that it should fully 'spot' enemies instead of just having them appear on radar. It sounds like they might make this happen too.

Regarding the 'Derp' series: Yes, yes, I know. I have part of one written, but it's very difficult to come up with something that's generic across factions that would fill up an entire episode. I have nearly an hour's worth of content across 14 episodes already and it covers a LOT. I love doing them but I don't want to just make filler. They each need to teach something. :)

Well, yes and no. I certainly pay attention to them when they are being used. I am working towards finishing mine off (last one takes 1000 certs though!)

Thanks - on both counts :)

Id be willing to bet that as far as xp goes it will be more bother than its worth.

I always wondered why the recon device didn't spot.

Why are you confused? Infiltrators are about stealth as much as anything else, I'd rather see tools to enhance that like the radar scrambler listed in beta. There's too much radar and spotting aids for players, I'd rather not see people be rewarded with exp for helping proliferate that stuff even more.

I thought this was about getting a bonus for running people over with a cloaked flash. Now I'm disappointed...

battlefield grants spot exp for kills which you or your device has spotted so i cant see why planetside cant do the same, seems silly you get nothing now as your device did help find the guy that was killed. lets hope it is done soon.

I'll be glad when this makes it in.

But calling the recon tool and scout radar useless?
Nonsense. How is knowing where enemies are not useful?

Fully spotting gives a decent chunk - no doubt the xp will stay the same. I think it's like 20 or something.
