Lately i see a lot of max units standing on the buildings in biolabs, and i as the title says i was wondering how they are doing it. Any idea?

If you time your running leap just right, you can jump onto one of the buildings next to the spawn room and go from there. It's difficult enough to be annoying, though.

Jump on a window ledge and shimmy to a tree. Then get just about anywhere.
There's also a bug that can let you jump about 2 times far and about 2 times as high if you time it right and have a place to do it. I don't know if it is an exploit or not, so I wont go into more detail than that. But, if given an OK I could rig a video in 10 minutes then wait a few hours for the damned youtube upload.

Ahh yes, the new spawn building. Now that explains things hehe.
EDIT: I too noticed weird jumping behaviour sometimes but wasn't able to reproduce it. I use engi turrets as ladders. :p

It's not hard to do once a place is found. The problems with it is finding a place to do it and time the jump. As an example, you know those small walls behind terminals in WGs? I can just jump over them as a medic, may be able to get higher as a MAX with its charge if the physics are what I think. Haven't tried with a MAX yet though.

Rectal propulsion? Poop factor 9? 88 skid marks an hour?

Well someone just posted a video explaining how these tricks are possible due to buggy physics in the game on the official forum so it's probably ok. You keep your downwards, and upwards momentum as Infantry when you jump. So running up a ramp, and jumping at the top makes you fly higher lol. SOE still struggling with gravity. Probably cause they are all dirty VS used to breaking the laws.

Send an email to Higgles I'd say.

You could always drop an engy turret by a specific tree root, run up the tree, and take the branch up across to the top of the shield gen room.

Inside biolabs...
Now yes, it's via the new spawn room. Done it myself. :D

Or just do a Gal drop onto a building, or have a Liberator land on top of a building, then you hop out. It's not that hard.
Edit: Grammar.

Yeah, that jumping deal is weird. I wonder why they added it in the last patch, it's certainly been interesting playing with it. It's been a lot of fun to play with as light assault, gives an extra speed boost to using your jets to fly over someone.
Basically any type of small 'bump' will cause you to 'hop' when you go over it now. Before this change you used to simple go over the bumps, now you seem to hit the bump and it carries your momentum upward rather than just forward. It doesn't seem to be an exploit but an intended change, as it happens everywhere.
The most obvious places for these are entry ways into/exiting buildings. First one that comes to mind is at tech plants, where the two new exits are where the SCU room Generator used to be. Sprint and run through the door way, you'll sort of 'hop' when you pass over the tiny doorway bump. Works on rooftops, and just about anywhere else with that style of bump. A MAX suit while sprinting just compounds the effects and sometimes if you hit it right you can jump about 50m through the air in your MAX.
As for the bio labs, the engineer turret is what I've always used.

50m?!
I must test this. If a MAX can jump 50m then that IS an exploit and a rather big one. I only thought that it let you get a bit more air and some extra distance, nothing to bad as jetpacks can do that anywhere. But, if you're right about a 50m MAX jump and not pulling a number out your ass then this should be on the to do list for bug fixes.

Running jump or bail out of a Galaxy :)

In the long run this issue should be addressed IMO.
The max is strong enough as it is. Leave the rooftops to light assault.

Can't believe so many people are suggesting drop pods or aircraft when the OP specifically refers to MAXes getting on top of buildings INSIDE A BIOLAB.

PlanetSide 2 Jump Glitch - YouTube
This video shows how it's done, add MAX charge in there and in certain areas you can go quite a long ways - add in doing it off a height(top of AMP station wall) and 50m is quite easily achieved.
