Did they finally fix it?!~ Sounds like it from the patch notes! I have a feeling they snuck something in there though, that they'll later say was an intended change. Maybe the Magrider now requires infantry to push it since the fact that it was moving was clearly OP and needed to be nerfed. But it does move up hills faster when pushed by more people!

Also.. vehicle kill XP according to the patch notes went through the roof? Going to seriously speed up cert gain.

Maybe a Lightning could give you a tow.

And yeah, spotted the massive vehicle XP gain; looking forward to that!

Most disappointing part of the vehicle changes - "Fixed an issue that could cause a players to be flung long distances when they collided with a vehicle"
It was already hard enough to Magmower people, now we don't even get the satisfaction of watching them fly across the map :(

Here's hoping the mag can actually move around again.

It has never been gone. Even unintentionally nerfed, it was performing excellent.

Well hopefully your ears will have a rest after your brother loads this gu. Getting the mag caught up on even the smaller inclines with a rank 2 in rival chassis was a wee bit frustrating.

A tow hitch was added.

HA.. with the amount of stuck lightnings i've pushed out of culverts with my Mag... I'd love to have a tow hitch...

Was it ever really gone, or was it just perception and a touch of hysteria after the slight nerf to maneuverability.

But then I was rarely seen trying to park vertically on the face of a cliff, I find my 2nd gunner does better when his/her gun is horizontal and we have freedom to strafe and reverse around the place.

Coz the Magrider is about the strafing, not the hillclimbing and terrain.

Mostly perception, combined with a warpgate that negated a lot of the mobility of the Mag via canyon walls. I won't complain about traction increases or a little boost in the uphill speed, however.

Oh, and I'm still annoyed that the magboost doesn't give you a buzzer and stop you from burning fuel if you are at an incline where it won't work. I'm tired of wasting my boost in a situation where I could just turn 45 degrees and boost away without issue, but can't because the fuel is gone. It's turned a few oh damn, I should get out of here.... into a.... oh #@$, what the @#$%... Damnit!

Reality is directly evolved from your perception. While you seem to think it was a knee jerk reaction by the community, it appears otherwise since most of the maneuverability changes have been reverted.

My opinion, and it seems a vast majority of the VS players opinion, is that the Magrider 'slight nerf' was quite a bit more than that. How you choose to use the Magrider and how you view it should be used is simply your opinion.

I also don't disagree with you about the hill-climbing and terrain, as strafing is the most important function. However, it is a hover tank and therefore in my opinion should carry it's momentum quite a bit better over terrain and certainly when using the Magburner for additional thrust. The Magrider doesn't have tank tracks to grab the ground and create additional friction, so it shouldn't move like it does when you're going over hills and inclines. On the flip side it should also be near impossible for the Magrider to 'stop' on it's own on an incline as gravity would always be working against it, whereas the other tanks have the tracks to 'stop' themselves.

Personally I think alot of it had to do with the Canyons directly playing against the Magrider's strengths. Actually I really cant think of any MBT that benefits from that area, all it ever does is funnel tanks into the meatgrinder. Kind of funny to see the 20th tank in a collum push right into the same area that constantly alight with rockets.

Kinda like that one retarded SEAL in The Rock. Apparently some people see dying as being a party where no one wants to be the last one who turns off the lights.

No joke, I saw an entire NC tank zerg get vaporized in that one area of SE indar with the arch over the pass. TR or VS (cant really rememeber which) just set up a ton of HAs and throwing C4 and tank mines down from above. And the entire tank zerg literally shoved each other out of the way to get into the killzone. My lightning got into the killzone becuase I literally couldn't back up and all the MBTs kept shoving me foward.
