There was something small, and changed some files.

Not sure if it was the hotfix Higby mentioned, but something was there.

I live in EU, so that was about 6 hours ago for me.

I think that was the small patch from yesterday. Not sure what it did, but didn't have any help with the fps issue.

Connery was MUCH better last night than it was all weekend. Don't confuse your lower fps with the server lag issue that plagued the servers this weekend.

AFAIK, yesterdays patch was about 40 MB in size, and it was to remove double XP, heroic boosts and St.Patrick items.

Yeah. Later there was that 800 something kb patch. There hasn't been a patch today.

edit. There was tweet by higby. Something like "hopefully this is fixed by the update sometime this am". So it might come out in the next few hours or something as soe time zone still has a bit over 2 hours of am left. Hopefully that's the case, I just want to play and european servers still have enough players for like 6 hours. :)

I'd imagine PS2's player data is pretty huge too.

With that fix you just might be able to bump the total server population for a given zone by a few percent.

Yea im eager to test this once i get the chance.. Some analysis on how the fps has now been effected would be great :)? Is there more efficient cpu usage..?

This really did help fps. At a big battle in biolab I now had 30-80 fps. 80 when I looked away from fight but 30-50 when there were enemies and teammates around.

I still have a problem with stuttering though. Before gu4 even 30fps was much smoother, but even after this patch 30-40fps feels a lot lower than it is because of stutter. Has there been a lot of reports about this problem? As in, have you looked at the issue?

This is the only game that does it and I've been changing a lot of things back and forth and nothing I can do helps with it. Still, this patch did fix the fps problem and even gave me more fps at fights. So, thanks for probably ruining your weekend to fix it. :)

Yeah seems fps is back to normal now. It was never great, but it is OK again.

Ok just gave it a little test run and i gotta say hats off to SOE cz for once they have actually made a proper noticeable difference in fps..

Now at first when i started at the warpgate it didnt seem very different.. got the same fps as normal but then i hit a biolab and WOOOW !!!

I cant explain how good it felt running around smoothly with TONS of people attacking from everywhere.. Before i would hit around 23-25 with a fully packed biodome.. and also before i was getting CPU bottlenecked in those areas with many people around..

This time i noticed i had no CPU bound issues and it ran incredibly stable at 28-31 fps.. And if i reduce it to 90 or 95% render quality it hits 35-40 fps !! :D

Dunno what they did but they did something ! Good Job SOE ! :)

The patch is great, I don´t think I remember better FPS since beta!
I also think the anti-aliases are working better now, but maybe because my FPS doesn´t drop under 40 anymore so everything is more beautiful now!
I don´t see CPU anymore on the fps counter, only GPU now!

I need to know what settings I should be using then, because I'm in the low 20's at the Crown at the moment and there's not even a fight here.
It still always tells me [CPU], never GPU.

edit: Just to update, it's the same as before except when I'm in an environment with no action. At the Warpgate I now have a steady 90-100FPS, whereas before I had 60-100. However in any battle with a platoon+ of enemy I'm still down in the teens.

Ground combat...FPS is fine. Air combat...FPS is horrible. I believe it's server side. I'm also seeing the "debris all over the ground" bug that was present in beta. There's significant hitching and lag at times with ground combat.

Way better for me. While my PC is slow as shit I now get consistent FPS without stutter. It just feels way smoother. Also the FPS improved a little bit... not that I had good FPS befor GU4^^

Got better fps after the patch implemented yesterday (something like +10 fps in pitched battles); sutter when loading new terrain while driving in a fast-moving vehicle got better too: I was able to fly my mosquito from TR Indar warpgate to Zurvan and land inside the courtyard without crashing - which was nigh impossible before.

On the other hand screen flicker bug got worse; previously it either fixed itself after some time or the game froze; now it is accompanied by fps jumping around like carzy (~2-40) and eventual freezing. At least, that's how it happened those two times I've had it during the last night.

XoO has noticed that this patch fixed many of the issues we had, but introduced micro-stuttering at random intervals for almost everyone. Some people have also reported frame-rate drops of under 20 in certain areas, such as while flying over facilities.

Overall general fps improvement, except for when being in the air: still massive frame drop and stuttering.

Some updates to my experiences. Zurvan is totally unplayable. Fps is ok-ish, average of around 30 with few dips to about 27-28. But that stuttering issue or something is making me feel like target dummy for enemies there. I can't really aim at all. Even if I somehow manage to aim at the enemy, firerate and recoil act so slowly, that there is no way to hit more than once at even closer range.

So, at least zurvan still has that situation where fps in the fps meter is ok, but it feels like 10fps. I did also notice the same thing with bigger fps. After miller was restarted (notice in the game was restarting zone, whatever that means, I think it was a server restart) even 60fps felt slower. I hope there will be a patch that makes the game smoother.

I'm noticing some frame studder when flying as well. Overall last night though performance was pretty solid.

Me too, great performance.

However, one of my outfit m8s was complaining of heavy stuttering so my sympathies to those with continuing issues.

Stuttering here too.... the framerate is all good, but the game is not smooth at all.

There is an improvement but as stated above flying still has issues. And I am still needing to
restart client every hour or so. But thanks for the updates and hope you guys can nail down the issues.

My expanded clip attachment for my nighthawk (the auto shotgun from TR) no longer works. The shotgun is useless now.
The only way to make it work it is in unequip it on the load out, equip it again and resupply, but you must do it all the times and I don't have the patient.
Also, I am selecting load out 2 or 3 and spawning with loud out 1.
