View Full Version : Would you Order a PlanetSide Universe T-Shirt?

Hamma

My forums my rules, so I can go off topic!

Would you order a PlanetSide Universe T-Shirt? We are thinking about putting together a T-Spring campaign and want to gauge how many people would be interested.

Prices would probably be anywhere from 10$ to 20$ a shirt (not sure yet). Poll open for three days.

Vote away!

I would, but only if you have sizes for tall fat people like me. I need a 4x or 3XLT before I would buy one.. but if you get the sizes I would pay. :D

Hamma

The site will have multiple size options :D

I would definitely buy one. Happy you will have bigger sizes because I would like it as a nightshirt.

I would if I had the money to spare. But, in some miracle I did have some spare cash. I totally would.

Also, can they be altered for longer torsos? 6'6 tall bastards like me HATE shirts that only stop at the waist.

Possibly, get a good quality t-shirt! Whatever shirt.woot.com uses is good!

What heck no! Jk hell yeah I would.

Especially if it's a TR PSU one. Would even pay extra for a customize one saying PSu Koruptor Terran republic.

Sure, why not. I'd take into consideration overseas postage though ^^

If it could be shipped to Europe, then, yeah. Assuming the shipping doesn't add a huge amount to the cost.

*edited to add* when I read that it sounded waaaay too downbeat. Please imagine I actually said "Hell Yeah, so long as I liked the design."

Skin-tight purple Lycra for VS, of course.

Hamma, if you do a shirt please, please, please make it BAD-ASS, I Am sure there may be someone here in the forums with some talent to design something that would be awesome. Maybe we could even make it a contest to design a PSU shirt and vote on them.

Just sayin....

Ps. XXl please.....I am thickly muscled..

Haha it depends on the design xD. If the NC one is badass, then hell yeah I'd get it. You should make customizable ones, like we can add our name on them o-o.

I found a patch store on line, they make patches for jackets and I wanted to make a Planetside two patches to go on my jacket, but they said they needed a letter to do the patches from SOE anyone know who I write to ask permission for that letter.

Hey Hamma would you guys customize, I want a starter jacket, with the VS logo on the back, PS1 emblem, with the PS1 logo on the right arm and PS2 and PS2 logo on the left arm. Also a small PS2 logo over the front left pocket.

I voted yes, but I have to caveat that with the fact that I'm broke as fuck.

They would just be generic PlanetSide Universe Tee's to start with our logos. If successful, we may think about doing special edition T's.

That's likely who we will use.

I'd try Smedley! I know he used to read emails, answered a few of mine at least.

That would be awesome if we saw someone random with one on :)

Great turnout so far! Looks like we could get a pretty good campaign going.

it would depend entirely on how classy they look. i don't usually wear logos on anything I wear. the only exception are some gloves ive got for paintball and a couple hats I wear in the summer. so as there is no middle ground, i voted no as its more an exception that i sometimes make.

If there was a customization option for a name on it I would prob be a loser and buy one.

All the folks asking for customisation - you could just buy a simple tee and then get whatever customisation you want done locally, if you want a name or character name appliqued on. There are plenty of places that'll do that for not much cash, and it's way more cost-effective than Hamma trying to deal with 101 variations.

I sorted out some logo'd cycling tops for an internet site a couple of years ago and everyone wanting something slightly different meant it ended up being a nightmare.

I would not pay for a shirt, however if you make a custom cape I can wear I will happily pay some moola for that.

But, it wouldn't be a PSU T-shirt. I rather buy the PSU one to help support the sight.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear :-)

Buy the PSU T-shirt from Hamma, un-customised. When it arrives, then get whatever customisation you wanted applied locally; the technology available these days (in terms of stitching machines, printing equipment etc) means it's generally waaay cheaper than it used to be in the past, and places will happily do one garment instead of having a minimum run of a dozen or so.

I just twitched when I saw Hamma's post and the responses asking for 'other options' as I remember doing this myself....

Damn straight, if you would ship to Europe.

The site Hamma linked to will ship to Europe - it's an additional $10.50 plus $1 per additional shirt.

So either people are happy to pay an additional $10.50 per shirt, OR we attempt to co-ordinate getting them all shipped over here in one box then someone volunteers to unpack and repost them. Which would work out cheaper per person, probably.

Hamma I would buy one but you should make the print for the logo a larger centered print instead of a small left chest pocket print.

Would look much better and also a bigger advertisement.

And Higby rocking one

Depends on the T-Shirt really. I don't really see myself ordering merch that's specifically about PSU, even though it is a really good fan site. I would wear something cool that's Planetside 2 themed though, as long as it has the right amount of subtlety and isn't a blatant advertisement.

I know this is a bit off topic, and i dont want to steal hamma's thunder but how the heck do i get a plansetside T shirt? i know these guys are looking to make some money. so why can we get some planetside swag?

side note, when i get my psu shirt, you know im gonna have a badazz TR sig put on the back.

No easy way sadly - they give them away at various events.

Looks terrible.

I think the logo and its variations are solid, though warpgates currently are pretty impotent.. they don't have the relevance they did in PS1 where masses of tanks and air would pass through them as a matter of necessity.
No ANTs go to them for resources.

They might as well not even exist in PS2.. as pretty as they are, currently they're just a superfluous nod to PS1.

higby and the devs have said a few times the warp gates will be made to work when more continents come on line. that is why they are there. they will work soon enough.

I would add that if this was worded like: "Would you be interested in ordering a PSU shirt as an additional way of supporting this site and its staff?" more people might bite, because the efforts of Hamma and the team are certainly appreciated.

Hamma
2013-03-22, 09:38 AM
Yes! Some of it will go towards supporting the site.

Looks like I may be able to set my initial drive at about 30 and get them all sold. Going to leave this open a few more days! :D
