my current mouse, a wireless logitech, is in the slow process of dying from old age. I'm kind of tired of having a wireless mouse as well, and I know that there are several good gaming mouses out there, I'm just not sure which ones are worth it. My budget is very flexible ($100~ or so, can go a little higher if its worth it).

opinions?

Logitech G400 or 500.

Being a Logitech man myself I would recommend the following.

G9x [I have the G9, the first model, myself. Great mouse but it's either hit or miss with how it feels to use] or the G500 [Which may fit your hand better seeing as you had a wireless before].

I really like the g500. And now that they added it to Logitech gaming software its about perfect. (I hated using setpoint)

http://www.razerzone.com/store/razer-naga-epic Buttons!! 8d Not as many as I would like but.... still a good ammount!

http://www.razerzone.com/store/razer-hydra-portal-2-bundle This is kind of kinky.

Obviously this stuff is extremely overpriced, and if they wanted to do actual work they could make something 50 times better for that price. But ... I recomend a time machine to the 90s when less people wre buying this crap for such high prices when there were some more standards to electronic designs still and get something or hire a guy to make it custom. I had the nestromo hand device with the extra buttons and 10 years ago it was 25 bucks... Now it's 70 minimum, so....... sadly!

heres the thing about razer, although their products are :shiny: to some, im currently using a microsoft keyboard from 10 years ago or so that outperforms their lycosa and doesn't have any problems, and hasn't had any problems, ever. Their naga mouse you linked is almost twice the price of a logitech g600 mouse (http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Gaming-Mouse-Black-910-002864/dp/B0086UK7IQ/ref=pd_sim_e_6) with near identical functionality.

and thanks for the advice, im probably going to go with another logitech like the one i just linked.

Highly recommend the G400. $40 and you won't be disappointed

It's the successor to the MX518(best mouse ever) and I've never found a mouse I've liked more. I tried the Razor Deathadder and Mamba, didn't like either very much. Mamba wasn't bad but I had a lot of issues with it being wireless and getting the tracking stuck in the corner for some reason.

I also don't like the G500 as much as the G400, though I couldn't pinpoint why.

It's not that they are shiny. It's that larger amounts of controls are needed. And should have existed along time ago. They are just slightly doing that work and playing off the smallest ammount from current games and highly overcharging and not doing anymore work to produce what will and should have already been made for software. We do need peripherals and controls with more means to accommodate more complicated software. Can't have one without the other. One drives the other... But nobody cares apparently.

I'm saying the ideal is the one with the most functions! But that is as close as it gets.. 8( Not sure on anything else like quality because they do not openly display this. There isn't much out there. They are all overpriced and could be made better.
