I know there's been the thing that basically caps your FPS after a few hours of play, for me it was always 30 and no matter what I changed or where I was, I couldn't get above 30 FPS.
But this is different, and it may be related to GPU Physics as I never had an issue similar to this before. Looking for more insight as to what it could be.
Problem:
After about 1 to 1.5 hours of play I get massive drops in my FPS. Where I am, or how many people I'm around does not seem to impact it. Best example that ruled out most variables for me was being at Camp Connery with no one else enemy or ally around me. Flying there in my ESF I was around 80-90 FPS, when I got to the tower, within sight of the Vehicle spawn terminals showing up, I drop down to 10-15 FPS. If I alt-tab out, and back in, I tend to raise back up in the 80-90 range. However, when I then moved on to Benson I had the same exact issue.
For the first hour to hour and a half I have no issues whatsoever with FPS drops. Certainly I go from ~80 FPS to ~35 FPS in massive battles, but the huge FPS drops and hitching that I'm describing are completely different I think.
The only things I can come up with causing it are
A.) memory leak? I know it's the same symptoms that other games have with memory leaks. Performance takes a dive after X amount of time due to it
B.) Could it be related to sound? The reason I ask is ever since this last update I've had weird sound glitching issues. In large battles even though my FPS seems normal my sound starts hitching with flak damage and other sorts of explosions. Maybe it's the sound from the jump pads / elevator-thingers loading in ?
C.) Something entirely different?

I suspect that it may be related to Physix, I made a mention of something similar here:

Can anyone else confirm that their game crashes after ~20-30 minutes of gameplay with Physix on? I tweaked my useroptions to force physix last month but I kept crashing (I assume that it was related to physix as every time it happened Windows 7 started nagging about low memory). I turned it off in February and I never crashed again (aside from the occasional flashing screen).
I turned it back on (officially, not via the useroptions) yesterday after getting back from my vacation and the same thing started happening again
Just contributing to the fact that OP is not the only one that has been experiencing this.

It says you set your textures to 0 to make it Ultra? I thought 4 was ultra settings?

Textures is 0. For some odd reason textures count backwards. Probably because "Ultra" textures are unmodified and uncompressed, or something like that.

What kind of problem do you have? For me, after yesterdays patch I started to get major fps drops after like 1.5h playtime. I had like 50 fps, it drops down to 1-5 and screen freezes, then continues normally for a few seconds, does it again and so on. I think it might be particles or physics bug. It started when I was running around in an empty field and esf with rocket pods started to shoot at me. When the first rocket hit the ground, my screen froze. After death I spawned at the biolab (where I had played earlier without problems) and there the problem continued. Then I logged out.
Edit. I didn't have physx enabled, since at that time I had everything set low to test if that helps my microstutter issue.

I do believe this is related to GPU physics. Some of our guys were having the same issue last night, and I believe they were all using it. I do not use it, and have not had the memory leaks like I was having before the most recent patch. I know that's not too helpful, but I believe you're on the right track.

After today's patch I get 20 FPS in big fights again. Before the patch it was around 35. I am really getting fucking sick of it SOE. Looks like every patch fucks the FPS up and they need to release a hotfix to 'fix' it.

lol I felt my overall FPS was much better yesterday than today as well. I thought it was me being paranoid, but it seems a lot of in-game yells are echoing the same thing.

At least they are quickly identifying and rectifying the problems. This is why it's good for the community that's having the problem bring this to light as give as much related info as they can to help isolate the source of the problem.

Getting those CTD's now that I disabled PhysX, but not getting the dramatic FPS hitching anymore.

Yeah, I coming back to report that I just received a CTD with a low memory warning with Physix disabled as well. Wasn't really doing a whole lot in general, and it took roughly an hour or so for it to happen.

Same problem here Asssit. And a few other lads in my outfit also.
I'm using a ATI card, And friends on Nvida so i doubt its todo with Physx.

Yeah I know, but I am getting tired of it that almost every patch makes the game run slower. Yeah they fix it a few days later (and the game still runs worse than you expect on a high end system. But I doubt if that will ever be fixed) I hope the test server will fix that problem...
The game is unplayable for me at 20 FPS, and even at 30-35 FPS I don't really enjoy the game. I know that there are people working on optimalizations full-time, but the most heard complaint I hear is how bad the game runs. I'd play the game alot more if the game runs smooth and I think a bunch of other people do too.

I saw the same thing last night. After about 1 1/2 hours frame rate dropped to low teens. I soon logged out and window issued a low memory alert. I didn't look at the system logs but it does seen like they have a memory leak in this release.
