Probably should watch to see if it includes the MAX.

"Instead of having to rely on a graphics overhaul down the line, Forgelight has features already built in that just need to be unlocked as time goes on."
Very true, those demos look sweet... Sadly, the trade-off is most folks with solid gaming rigs now needing to buy different hardware then what the rest of the gaming/PC industry uses. (Most of my PS1 outfit that were so excited about PS2 coming out don't play because they can't justify $100s of dollars to buy hardware that will only ever be used by a single game.)
I really wish they had come up with a clever solution to their "one core to rule them all" strategy. I get why the did it, I just don't think it's a wise choice.

Max update in 2-3 months. :( I wish they never did the roadmap. Since its become a list of features that are never gonna happen. They still never implemented half of Febs roadmap and deleted those from the map. Barely anything of march happened. The slow pace we are going with this roadmap it'll be 2014 by the time they finished the first '6month roadmap'

Please no hoverskis, please no hoverskis, please no hoverskis...
So I hear they're adding (nobody's favourite map but mine) Cyssor, and the Searhaus supervolcano, though I am disappointed that Forgelight 2 will probably never be outsourced to anyone else; guess there's no profit in it if other studios all have SOE's tech.

I rarely chime in on planetside stuff, or even gaming stuff in general. Because of my company's and my own hardline "Core-Philo" stance on the how much to spend on a virtual life. It is no secret we are "pro-choice" on this issue. Pro choice to choose to spend $1000's, 10's of $1000's, or more on your virtual life. This leads a lot of you guys to the overflowing of haterade when it comes to you guys. Also, I personally make ZERO bones about calling AMD garbage (the company not so much the actual product -though I have to admit you REALLY get what you pay for, or don't rather in this case). So that also leads to a lot of hate. Of course those of you who like the finer things in life, and like to have the BEST of what is out there, show us lots of love, and agree with our stance of not being ashamed to enjoy Gaming or take it to the next level.
How can you NOT justify spending $1000's on this virtual experience and life. I have spent more time here than in my race car, and let me tell you something my fully built World Record holding Honda Civic Drag Car costs 10x what my $15,000 Quad Titan, Dual Xeon, Triple BenQ XL2420TX (Soon to be 2720TX -perks of selling more BenQ's than anyone else out there). In fact, I spend roughly ten times the amount of time, in-game that I do anywhere NEAR my car. Well, actually since I took the last two race seasons off and am considering taking another two seasons off, I might as well just say I spend 100x that on my PC when you start to count all the hardware (though, yes I do get a lot of free stuff, and I obviously have the hook up on all PC Hardware), and when you start to factor in all the Kickstarters we do, all the accounts for each game we have which is generally about 5+ accounts for each game we play here at BossRigs.com, also you have to factor in the expenses for BossRigsArmy.com, and you can imagine how much even Pedestal servers add up to, plus the networking stuff, plus a manager, to all that other stuff. Plus then you have to factor in all the expenses we pay to go to Con's, Shows, etc. When you add it up it is so much sh*t spent on Gaming that some people literally get angry about it. My father is one of them, who will never ever under any circumstance understand. However, I spent a lot of my time snowboarding, racing cars professionally, in the shop, on the court, and on the field so he can at least somewhat live with himself for raising a Gamer.
I kinda digress but my point is very simple here, how can you NOT justify spending whatever amount it takes to enjoy the experience the way it was meant to?
And 9/10 times I bring this up people say something to the effect of, "We have bills, jobs, children, health problems, etc" reason for not justifying the expense of quality hardware for Gaming Machine. And you know what I say to that. So what. So do I. I have all that sh*t. And more. I run several business's these days. And guess what, I should not be running a business. I am not really the type who should be running business's right now, at this point in my life, but I am a perfectionist and do not trust anyone else doing it for me. But yeah, I should be gaming, and being a technician. I should be testing hardware, and building high horsepower Honda Motors, overclocking CPU's and GPU's to the moon, finding out what breaks first, and why, and over-engineering those areas so that the product becomes even better. That is what I belong doing. Not doing PO's, quickbooks, invoices, or customer service. But it is what it is and I love what I do. I also love having the BEST experience. And if that means you have to spend $1000's on hardware then so be it. We all spend $10, $20, $30K on our cars and I can tell you right now most of you spend FAR FAR FAR more time on your pc than you do in your car. You already know my deal with that one. We all spend 100K,200K,300K,400K,$500K a Mil or more on a house. Because we spent most of our time there. Actually, most people spend just as much time at their workplace as they do their home.
With all that being said, you can see my frustration when people -so quickly jump to the conclusion of "Gaming shouldn't cost a lot of money".
You think I spend a lot of money on this game?

That is $650K I heard. And you know what, just like every person who has EVER bought a $1000-$1500 GTX Titan from us says, "It is worth every single penny."

Gosh, your ePeen is so huge! I'm so impressed.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll continue doing unpaid overtime on a Saturday morning in order to ensure my employer remains in business, so I can continue to squirrel away what little of my salary is left after paying the rent, food, council tax, etc etc in order that I can afford to upgrade my five year-old PC to an i5.
At current rate of saving, there's about three months to go.
I suspect your opinion is very relevant to your own section of the demographic. I also suggest it's completely irrelevant to the vast majority of the readership of this site.

No one cares that you spend lots of money.
The key here is - are we playing a game analogous to basketball where its a mostly level playing field or are we doing formula 1 racing where the competition is primarily about who can afford the best car?
I personally like games that are basically like weekend basket ball league. You pay a modest fee to enter the league and maybe buy some nice shoes(that matter more for style than performance) and you are set.

You do realize BossRigs is essentially a spambot right? He hangs out on the tech forums trying to get people to visit his buisness. He doesn't have an e-peen as much as a desperate need to stay relevant in a market where anyone and everyone can build a gaming desktop their damn self.
Rant Over.
Anyway ontopic, looking forward to the buggies, although the App seems a bit irrelevant to me really, but I'm not gonna complain, because I doubt any of the people working on that are really the same coding team that works on real content, so if you like the idea, more power too ya.

I give zero shits about how much people spend on their computer. I build my own so I spend what I can when I can.
On the actual topic...MARAUDER!!!!!
It's coming, I can feel it and it feels good.
