Tank Plating Customizations

Edit: Missed the fact they're provided in the official announcement - see post #2. However the screenshot I took doesn't match the announcement image, so it may be worth checking of any of the others differ.

I would just say make sure to check out the cosmetics in game, a lot of the cosmetics shown on that page look/are out of date. :)

It's a shame the in-game preview window for the cosmetics is pretty terrible :(

That was in the roadmap Feb update.. its been pushed back months.. Even though the models and meshes are already ingame, honestly how hard would it be....

The Stalwart plating looks awesome, it makes the prowler bigger and it stands out.

On the other hand, it probably counts as an additional hitbox because I sometimes get stuck because of it :D

It doesnt count as part of the hit box. In fact the cosmetic upgrades (at least for the prowler) have no hit detection at all. Ive tested. You can walk/shoot through all the extra stuff at the back and all the stuff at the front. I got the one that makes my prowler look like the Thunder Tank as I didnt like the rounded bits on the Stalwarts ass.

The most annoying thing with the cosmetic upgrades is how they deal with decals. It half covers up the decal you have chosen on the front of the tank and on most of the TR ones the TR decals on the rear are all obscured or cropped in some way.

Really like the Spliced Plating for the Magrider, but I'm hesistant to put any SC into my VS char ...

I'm not particularily fond of any of the TR ones, but the Fleet Plating would still be my favourite.

I actually prefer Warrior (went ahead and bought it). Its more armour plates with huge rivets rather than spikes.

It also doesn't make the Vanguard look big and as if its wearing a skirt (Bruiser is ok, just not my fav). Same goes for all the Prowler platings, I find they don't add to the armour, make it bigger without adding a sense that its plating. Just my two pence.

The Magrider platings compliment it very well. Loving Spliced and Carapace especially.

I was referring to the preview window so you can actually see what all is being added to you tank.

I really wish the side armor wasn't so damn ugly and didn't cover up everything on the vanguard.

But the current preview window sucks bawls. the cosmetic is about 40% of the screen with a weird spin axis. Very hard to really get a good idea of how it will look ingame.

The preview option is terrible. It's been said and suggest several times that a paper doll option be done for cosmetics.

Hey Redrum, these look great (I'll likely buy some when/if you do some for sunderer) but what is with the "limited time only" offer terminology I'm seeing? I don't believe that's actually going to be how it plays out...

I wish we could be inundated with cosmetic options so that there would be more variety on the battlefield and we could all actually have a look that is more or less unique.

This was really played up in the pre-release press but it's not coming through in practice.
