I don't play Engineer much as infantry, but I use it whenever I'm in a vehicle. This may have been changed a long time ago and I just noticed now..

Besides the regular ammo pack for engineers you get a second ammo back, via your turret. You used to be able to place both on the ground at the same time, but it seems now when you place the second one the first one disappears.
Does anyone know if this is an intended change, or possibly a bug? I always assumed since the ammo pack took it's own slot, the advantage to using it was you could place two at a time.

For those who don't know, if you switch to your turret weapon and hit 'b'(alternate firemode) it will switch to a 'turret' ammo pack. These used to last ~5 minutes, quite a bit longer than the regular ammo pack, although I think that got changed as well...

As far as I'm aware that was an intended change. If you cert into the ammmo packs it effects the 'turret' ammo pack as well.

Yeah, I think so as well.

The ability to have two simultaneous packs was prob. a bug.

Having the ammo pack in its own slot was most likely intended to be an easier was to access it, rather than being a different pack.

It was a bug, the ammo pack from the turret it was a allways a lvl 3 ammo pack, no matter what was your ammo pack lvl.
Many people didnĀ“t certified in ammo pack because of that, and I agree with them, but I did it anyway.
Now your ammo pack from both slots are from your right unlocked level, in my case the maximum one and most of times I play as engineer because my outfit is almost all for heavy assaults and someone must keep those strikers with ammo.
