Been waiting for this as soon as it hit the game files. Seems like it will hopefully have the .75x ADS strafe speed that the Orion and SVA-88 so wonderfully possess -- pretty excited about that for my TR/NC if so.

Given the history of previously released NS weapons, I think some fair projections are:

RoF: ~652
Dmg: 143@10m 125@65m
Clip Size: ~50-75 Rounds
Reload Time: ~2.5-3 Seconds For Short and Long reloads.

Don't you think that it might have higher ammo capacity? The AR and Carbine have has atleast 5 more rounds than faction specific ones, except for the TRs.

No, because the other trademark of NS weapons is their fast reload time.

I'm personally leaning towards a quick reloading 75 round LMG. I suppose they don't have to go in the usual increments and make it 80 rounds or something like that. But I think they'll not want too many rounds in a clip so as not to make the reload time too good.

I suspect, like the other NS weapons, that this thing will be a laser of a LMG. Low vertical recoil with a very slight left pull.

My prediction would be a 55/220 ammo pool LMG with the same firing rate and a slightly better damage per bullet than other NS weapons.

I've never been impressed by NS weapons performance but if you like them, chances are you will like this one as well.

As far as I can tell, NS weapons are designed to be a sustained mid-range-only firing solution: accurate, controllable, decent mag size, fast reload but with a low dps and horrible first recoil.

Agreed. I think that it's gonna have an offset mag size like the NS 11P (35 rounds... wtf). I do love the reload time on them, though the slower rate of fire reminds me too much of an NC weapon, so I don't use the NS weapons too much (I don't really play medic IG, and ain't paying money for an NS weapon ATM)

Ohhh a new LMG, that shall be tested out although after how the NS-11c handles I'm very curious to see if a little hunch mine plays out.

I kinda love all the NS-11 rifles so far, use the medic one exclusively and once I get the auraxium medal for the VX6-7 will begin using the NS-11C exclusively also.....

Wonder if I will ever replace the Pulsar LSW or not on my Heavy....

Does anyone know if the NS-11p will end up being unlocked for all characters on the account? It's super annoying that my VS character has it, but my TR doesn't even though it's supposed to be a common pool weapon.

NS-11 platinum. NS-11p was used back when there was just the NS-11a and the Gamestop version which is Platinum. The Gamestop version is the same gun with a different skin that you can only get with a Gamestop card. The gun is common pool, but I guess since it is bound to the character that used the code they didn't bother adding that to their account wide unlocks. I assume it's a simple oversight on SOE's part. Anyway, I like my NS-11p and don't really want to buy the NS-11a just to use it on my TR now that I stopped playing my VS.

Yeah Dragon I've been having the same problem. I redeemed it in game through my TR character, and not saying that I have stopped playing my TR, but I don't really play medic on my TR character. Though on my VS I have been playing medic (main class) and the default AR is ok, but I feel like it isn't quite doing it for me.

It's a bug I didn't get it shared after the account wide unlocks.
But then I bought another card and used it after they were in affect and the gun is shared to all new toons I roll.

Lol, a lot of stuff has been nerfed by soe. Generally though rifles have not.

Actaully the foregrip 'should' be attached to the weaver rails just forward of where the foregrip is currently located.. so no its STILL NOT in the right place :lol:

Never ever hold a magazine as a grip whilst firing. On most weapons it will cause a jam. Oh hang on this is Planetside not real life........ doh!

Speaking of which, PS2 is severely lacking in bullpup weapons, considering its in the future and whatnot. One of the concept artworks/wallpapers for PS2 has an NC trooper shooting a possible bullpup weapon?

Well yeah it has always bothered me how close foregrips are to the magwell, there's no way you could possibly hold the gun comfortably with your hand so close to the mag.

But I'm not too picky you know, it's definitely a step forward from the magic floating thing

It would have made sense for the TR to all be using bullpups. It would help justify why they take forever to reload their guns.

I suppose it would make sense for the NC too since they are using rail guns that don't have to expend cartridges.

Yes, I think more bullpups are in order.:cool:

It loses 2 dmg tiers at 65m... only 800rof guns suffer that, well unless it literally has 0 recoil my tmg50 is still a direct upgrade, hell the tmg50 does 168 dmg and is only around 50 rof slower with a bigger mag! which sucks because the NS guns look so much better then tr.

NS guns need a buff whether its rof or dmg. the faction weapons are still all better then them except the NS11a, Atleast that isn't half bad.

Can't speak for the stats but the sound effects along with the looks are pretty bad. The LMG sounds weaker than the carbine....I mean I thought they would've learned from the NS-11c.

The magazine is also...Ah why do I even bother.

I posted this in the other thread, but I love the new NS-15. Racked up a good 130 kills with it in the short amount of time I played today. I use the Compensator, NV scope, .. other thing... and soft point ammo. I tried it in the VR with high velocity ammo, but the recoil was a bit too much for me. Reload time makes the gun, IMO!
Of course, right as I was logging off I realized that the new ribbons were not working with it. Hopefully that gets fixed asap! Plan on going to the auraxium medal with it.

130 kills already, damn! Wish I could get that many kills that quick.

After using it alot in the VR room, very meh. Versusing the TMG-50, the long range accuracy was the same but the TMG does more dmg for any missed shots. The hipfire at ranges I would hipfire they were very similair but with TMG having more dmg will kill faster.

The only saving grace of the NS15 is that is sounds really awesome and the reload speed. But still like the NS carbine, ill be saving my $$$. The TR guns are too similair to justify spending money on essentially a clone.

Asked support and apparently lots of people lost purchases after GU6 and "The devs are working in a fix to return all your items to you again in one go, please don't repurchase the item as it complicates matters"


Really ?? I have to wait for a software fix rather than just being given an item back that I paid for??

I love the NS weapons. I play engineer almost exclusively and have fallen in love with the NS-11C. Fun gun to use!

I've tried this new one and an debating on whether or not to get it. I love my LMG loadouts right now, but damn, that gun is sweet.

Well, I bought this gun by accident last night while trying to check out the stats in game. I'm assuming there's no way to refund SC from an accidental purchase, so I guess I'll have to use the thing.

Its has a better ADS movement modifer than all the other TR LMG's so that is an interesting twist on things.

NS-15M = 0.75 (I think)
All other TR LMG's = 0.5
