:ugh:

yah me too lols, i went right to Amerish anyways :D
I somehow got 9000 XP for it, said it was a 10k reward. I kind of doubt VS had 90% of the Indar at the end..

Apparently that xp too is multiplied by boosts and membership.

So has anyone had the participation bonus of +20%? As I said in that gu06 notes -thread, I didn't get it although I was at the right continent.

Interesting that Connery and Briggs triggered the alert for Indar at the same time.
Connery 3:40pm PST
Briggs 9:40AM AEDT

Bro, I don't know what server you're on, but on waterson we got esamir. Started out slow, but as more players joined in, stuff got fun.

Was a nightmare on Briggs. The usual, TR/NC gang bang ;) each ignoring their respective East/West.

In the end, though, we still managed to get ~3k xp for having 12% of the continent.

Managed to pick up just under 10k for the Alert from only logging in 5mins before it finished.
NC held 48%, TR 35%, VS 16% (+/- a few as I took a screen shot with 59secs to go.)

What we need now is an app that alerts us of an alert...

Amerish was the first on Cobalt, and Vanu won. :D

The first one I saw on Miller was Amerish and I gotta say, it did it's job. We had to pick between trying to out ghost cap the NC/VS to secure the win or actually fight to try and hold them back.
Had some pretty good fights and they seemed rather concentrated instead of spread out all over the cont like usual.

:ugh:

The first mission on Waterson was take control of Esamir. It was actually a lot of fun and I earned a ton of experience.

Our last one was like this and we thankfully all picked the concentrated battles.

Does the bonus at the end for participating increases the more time you spend there?
Some bloke was claiming he had up to 80%.
I'll have to find more than 30mins to play to find out for sure, or read the main forums.

And the bloody instant action can still take you to a different continent than what you are on.

The trick to winning these "games" is to Gal up your entire faction and hack all the empty outposts that have 1-2 capture points, and ignore bases altogether.

You gain most ground with least amount of time spent.

That's if you start planning to win these contests....

On the other hand, it does make people go to the respective continents so you could in essence make a fight of it if you so wished and didnt mind coming 2nd or 3rd as you still get a lot of XP.

Not a bad addition, but there are so many ways to just exploit the win.

Exactly my thoughts. The only bright side I could see is that if the opposing faction is gal ghosting, it can be relativity easy to either ESF up and try to hunt down their mode of transportation, sending them back to the WG to grab another gal.
That or try to pick the hexes to attack that remove the most amount of links from them.
The VS (*ahem*) pushed our WG and took our link whilst we were prepping Sungary. We lost about 20 min because of it.

It has potential but it seems designed to promote ghost hacking. (and 'blue shelling' the dominant faction)

No idea, I didn't see what kind of xp we got from the alert.

The first mission on Waterson was take control of Esamir. It was actually a lot of fun and I earned a ton of experience.

It was fun, Esamir got red fast, even with all that NC zerg rolling out!

After that, capturing Indar mission sounded easy, but It wasn´t, I had to leave 1 hour before the mission ended, but we had 40% of the territory when I leaved, my outfit members told the exp was split across the % of control to each faction.

10.000 is a great sum of EXP, but I thinked we was going to get easier missions, not a continent control mission!

Also, most TR went to Amerish waiting for the capture Amerish mission, that never pop out.
