Will it be possible to blow up missles in mid air? And will the ships be able to drop flares against homing missles ala T2? And, when you jump out of a ship in midair, do you just pop out or do u see the cockpit open and ur guy eject out or something. :)

I'd be willing to guess that the only people who would know this would be beta testers. so don't expect an answer any time soon.

I would bet my bottom dollar that there is no ability to shoot missles down. It would be a coding nightmare for a MMOFPS, not to mention the lag-beast.

The Pheonix is the slowest out of the missles but, it's still pretty quick from what I have heard.

I highly doubt that you can shoot down missiles, would go as far as to say no.
The TR could just tear the missiles apart, hell whit all those miniguns they're a bunch of mobile phalanxes.

And about the ejecting, I'd bet that you just pop out. Ejecting would be a lot more models, coding and lag.

No one seems to understand that things playing on YOUR computer such as an explosion dont cause anylag for other people. The only thing the server has to do with that is tell your computer were that computer is. Thus it would have no effect if you had more models and stuff.
i think he was refering to having one object tracking and intercepting the trajectory of another object. Math = lag, wether it would be server side or on your computer, it will still effect ya. especially if u had 10 ppl trying to shoot down 3 different missles at the same time....probably not a lot, but more then if u didnt have it.

He was talking about ejection having more model rendering. It only lags his graphics, not everyone else.
