I never seen that before... is that on the test servers or is it an unmarked base I've just missed all these months?

The Stronghold has already been dubbed "Whiskey Outpost" but yes I would love to see bases with a more classic design.

Well it's defensible from ground attacks, but... Air attacks?
Unless there's a tunnel that leads straight into the cap room, it will just get spawn camped by ESFs/liberators:P
It does look good though, about time they started adding in more outposts/bases that actually look defensible.

It's fairly decent against air because it's very small. You can easily be in and out of the openings before a Liberator can get it's 2nd shot off on you.
Btw, for those who didn't read the other thread, there's a lot of new bases, terrain changes, and re-designing of nearly every base on Indar.

Just a quick suggestion - do we need a separate forum area for information relating to the test server?
O no we cant have bases with 4 walls no, thats to much like PS1 design. This is PS2  <---- me being sarcastic. The guys who designed the bases in this game were so sure that classic designed bases would be out and there new 3 and 2 walled bases would be so cool and popular, they forgot that not only would we be taking bases but we would also have to defend sometimes. Pretty soon the capture points will be under ground as well.
I mean if you think about it, if your world was in a constant state of war and each base played an important part in resouce gain, wouldnt you design a base that would be defendable, I mean its just common sence.(Maybe throw in some xp for defending it  im just saying)

New Base layout - YouTube
I saw this last night, a lot of people were passing by and excited about this place. It looks like a nod to the Planetside 1 base design in a very generic sense.
Sorry about the subpar quality, I forgot to update the ingame recording quality.
Also ChipMHazard, there is an AA turret mounted in the center of the base, as well as vehicle terminals on the inside that lead to vehicle pads on the outside back of the base (to prevent people from spawning tanks inside of the base and camping behind the vehicle shields trying to take pot shots and thereby clogging the courtyard.

I'm surprised that there hasn't been more praise that an actual defensible base since The Stronghold has been added.

Why 4 walls fortress? In the future the people will forget why the star fortress are much more effective on defense.

/crosses fingers
Looks like the Dynamic Gameplay faction and the Traditional Defense factions are arguing with each other again, and the latter is putting their best foot forward.
How does the size compare to your average PS1 base?

There are actually two AA turrets, one on the roof of each of the two buildings in the middle.
