this pic is of vanu soldiers, it looks completely different to the ones ive seen before, it has lots of green instead of lots of purple...

has this got something to do with rankings of implants or certs or some other wiers PlanetSide thing? or are they just mutated?

Javascript won't work in a forum buddy, what you want to do is right click on the pic you want to post and it'll show you the URL for the pic. This is the URL you want to post in the little pop-up script this forum give you when you want to post a pic.

Oh yeah your sig won't show either because you've got the extension as a .txt, it should be .gif, .jpg or some sort of image file.

well i did have it on jpg, but it didnt work, it must be the geocities thing, anyway, ill leave it there for ppl to click on.

Yea, you are right, the first is a more recent pic but I didn't mention any dates I just said that the second one seems to be the colour scheme they've gone with.

In my opinion though, the better colour's are red and black. Go TR! :vssucks: ;)

The second is the newest. The first one has asstastic models/skins, an outdated GUI, and weapon models that don't even exist anymore. The only thing old about the second image is the face of the guy in the armor (the generic Steven Seagal lookalike).

I'm just going by the file dates, the first was 31-12-2002 the second was 20-11-2002. The second pic is probably more of an art mock-up of what they wanted them to look like than a screenshot. The first pic was probably an early in-game capture where all the sides only had one model each or something.

Vanu goes from purple to teal,
TR from black to red,
NC from blue to yellow, as you rise in rank

but who knows

The second screenshot is a just-made BR 1 character. The first is two Vanu who have gained a few BRs.

Your armor changes in 2 ways.

1.) Your armor gets more of the secondary color of your empire as you rise in Battle Ranks

i dont like that think in the backs of the commanders. otherwise, nice. pretty soon everyone will be yellow, green, and red. thats why im gonna be TR. and plus i like their style of fighting.

I agree, but I also have a question thats completely offtopic hehe. Speaking of faces... Can you have them like not be there? In my opinion the soldiers look much cooler with the visors being dark enough so you can't see the faces, like in halo. Will there be a graphics option that allows you not to see the faces?

.heres what i heard: as you gain battle ranks, you slowly turn another color (vanu: Purp to Teal, NC: Blue To Yellow, TR: black to yellow {or vice versa}). but i may be wrong :(
