Loyal Soldier Bundle - Free Faction Camo

Here's what it looked like for me, NC, compared to my default camo "Clover", which I used because it was (previously?) the darkest camo NC could get (click for full-size image):

This one is black with some not-too-bright blue bits. Seems darker than Clover overall. Finally some of us have been brought up to the Vanu default?

I have this camo option. Both on my VS, which I have played since launch (13 days played ), and my NC which I have had since early feb, with only 1.5 days gametime.

I'm reading that you also get a title, and that it was supposed to be added to every character that logs in, not just the first that you accept the bundle with per account. They'll be fixing that soon.

Some people are also saying you can get 170 free station cash, but it has something to do with having an account on 2 or more SoE games.

I would try to test some of this but currently I can't log in, it gives an error message.

And some people think that Amerish Scrub is darker than Clover. I don't think that's true, I think Clover is darker, but they are close. If Amerish Scrub ever goes on sale I'll probably buy it and compare.

You know, I hope they continue giving these out once some more time has passed. My PC died before beta ended (where I had a character) which meant I wasn't able to install the game and create a new Char until January. Which sucks, seeing as I've come in with the NVIDIA fail, and this camo looks really sweet.

i think amerish scrub is more aesthetically pleasing than clover but i really don't think it is darker

I didn't notice this before, but now there's a "Bundles" tab on the Spend-All-Your-Station-Cash page in the game. All or nearly all of the bundles from the past are there, some are "unavailable", but others appear to be 50% off sales without an expiration date. Others are the rather weak 15% off bundles they just introduced which are pretty much not worth it unless you're sure you would buy every item in the bundle for full price anyways.

Edit: The "Spend-All-Your-Station-Cash page" is called the "Depot" (I forgot) and the Bundles tab also shows bundles which are upcoming for the next two weeks. So you can determine if you should buy now or wait for the sale.

Final update (I think): I just re-logged in and was able to get the camo on all of my characters on my account. Didn't have to accept anything, it was just there.

I think the Vanu and TR versions look a LOT like the digital camo. But the NC version is a bit more distinct. Either that or I'm a lot more used to seeing the NC digital camo so I can tell the difference easier.

Higby just tweeted that its for people with a subscription and alpha squad members. Someone says a GM told them if you had a sub at any time between two dates (presumably game going live and now), or alpha squad, you're getting it. Anecdotally other people are getting it too, maybe if you ever spent anything on the game, not sure.

Edit: Higby clarification: People who bought Station Cash (Or bought something with Station Cash? There have been ways to get Station Cash without actually buying it, through promos and what not) before April are also being gifted.

Edit 2: People reporting that after they got the bundle, they got copper level membership privileges, despite not being a member. Additional character slots, access to member-only deals, etc. Not sure if intended.

Edit 3: Its intended. If you get the bundle you get copper membership for the month of May for free. Including 25% XP boost, priority queuing, etc. Via Higby twitter.

Im neither a member nor bought Alpha squad and got the camo. It's the same as me getting the PS1 vet decal when I never played a minute of PS1.

Free is free, and I like this camo for indoors and nighttime.

The two games are Free Realms and Clone Wars Adventures, you just have to log in to your Station Account on the sites for those two SOE games, tying your account to them that way - grants you 170 SC.

Also from that page: Until June 1st you can sub with a 3-month membership at the 12-month rate. That's actually a pretty good deal, because you'll keep that rate as long as you let it auto-renew. The 12-month version is a pretty steep commitment just for a bit of a discount, but I can reasonably anticipate I'll still be playing for the next 3 months.

haven´t played very often but since beta. and i played 2 days ago, so i don´t think it is related to inactivity.

i hope most players get those! they look cool, and they help with identifying friend or foe because of the much blue/purple/red.

Consider PS1+Markov vet (1st play 2006). Also beta vet. That's some real loyalty.

Now, I consider you should probably ignore that point because I have absolutely no idea why I got the package. I've never been subscribed. I really think that this "Loyalty" label on this package is very very incorrect advertising; from what I am seeing, this was supposed to entice players to come back and play again after having quit playing. It's good timing to do that, but it's a bad title that sours the tastes of current players who don't get the package.

Bah, I didn't buy or spend any SC until the double SC sale at Easter, so it looks like I missed out on this by just a few days (on or before April 3rd is the cutoff point, apparently) :(

Still, SOE's loss overall - if they'd have given me a free month membership I'd have been very tempted to continue the sub after that... but as it stands, I'm going to be sulking about this for a while, so won't be subbing anytime soon :P~

log in to the account management area of soe.com and go to your subscriptions list. there should be an option in there to get rid of it. barring that somehow not working, file a ticket with soe cs or call them.

Got the camo and i'm somewhat dissapointed, i don't like how it looks on my VS character. Won't be using the loyal camo at all, back to Indar Dry Brush and Rocky Thundra.
