Ladies and Gentlemen, I am proud to present Hossin's map: http://imgur.com/a/LvN4C

Please keep in mind this is a Work In Progress - both on SOE side, and mine. I have a much better resolution of that map, and another, similar map of Searhus. I will release those to the public once they are nice and tidy (and with probable facility names), but for now, you have a small preview.

I have also included the map of Indar from the same files, so you can see the shapes to look for.

The various facilities are mostly my guesses, though WarpGates and AmpStations are obvious, and BioLab (including the weird, empty one in the middle) locations are pulled directly from the files. The Interlink facilities seem to be symmetrical, according to RoyAwesome's work, and have a similar shape to that - but seem quite small on the map.

Looks like they finally made the map a Hex, not a square.
All Warpgate are at the same distance!
And those amp stations looks like where the borders will be set!

I really hope every continent isn't a different variant of a circle :/

If they can't figure out a way to make a continent without that handicap they need to go back to the drawing board.

well from that it looks like an inverted copy Indar tbh but the two south coasts have been shaved into a more of a V, probably to make it a lil easier for the two north factions so you don't get the Indar stalemate when the the North holder takes the continent and holds onto like a teet.

Can't people get into their head that you need water to do this..? The only way to make interesting continent shapes is using water as a border. And they haven't got proper ocean water in yet, obviously. Till then, they might as well just fill as much space with interesting terrain/environment like those trees that are bigger than biolabs.

Plus they'd need to give boats/amphibious vehicles to TR and NC because the Magrider floats, but if that really holds them back I don't think people would mind that feature being delayed.

Also it kinda makes sense that this 4th continent is 'symmetrical'/balanced seeming as it'll be the main free continent in-between the pseudo-home conts for while until the next one hits. The lava of Searhus could affect battle flow the same way water would but judging by those early pics off twitter there doesn't seem to be any massive lava lakes in the middle of the map or anything.

you Sir have a point . They need water in before they start changing the shape of continents. Maybe in a year or Two we will get remodels for the old continents which don't have rivers. Btw talking about water the last patch added a lot of water related assets to the game files .

From what we saw on the current map they add water progressively . First water in the esamir biolabs . Then a little pond on amerish and some inaccesible rivers around one of the biolabs. My guess would be that Hossin will have swamps and maybe a usable river which is not too deep allowing vehicules to cross it at reduced speed.

Maybe in the battle island will have some proper rivers because searhus being a lava continent it doesn't make sense. OFC i see some proper bridge fighting on searhus with lava rivers

no, not "10,000 ft"...

So where did this come from, game files?
yup, HossinAreas.xml . A bit later I'll work on tidying up my maps and releasing them

concerning the shape, well, I don't have the terrain data. And you've seen an early Searhus, similar to the one in PS1 - it's not square: http://forums.station.sony.com/ps2/index.php?threads/photo-from-higbys-twitter-is-that-searhus.80177/

Or Submarines that transform into Amphibious Walking Weapon Platforms...

...I call them ABFRs!

Going to go ahead and assume the Angel is one of the large flying capitol ships. Probably the NC one. TR version was the Bastion, which is supposed to be an aircraft carrier / offensive vehicle it sounds like, safe to assume it can spawn air units. Assuming something like that would have more than one set of flares. The VS one could be the referenced BattleCruiser, perhaps more heavily armored than TR but not as much offensive firepower, and the ability to spawn ground units and resupply air units? Maybe the NC Angel is more of a tanky type one, with really heavy armor, and heavy firepower, but only the ability to spawn infantry. Maybe provides an infantry buff for any units in/around it.
Lots of possibilities!

It could possibly be a medical/support helicopter though, but I think we'd see more than a name if that were the case.

hm. I think it could be possible to chek your theory, Assist - by checking the Flare FX and comparing them to other aircraft, especially the size. I'll look into it later.

If that's the case and it's called the Angel, I'd be somewhat disappointed. I always had the image that if capitol airships were going to be added (in 2019 or Planetside 3 ), then the NC's ship would be called the 'Libertas' or something. Much better sounding name and ties in with their whole freedom belief.
