Can they be turned off? Just wondering cause it'd be cool to turn the headlights off when its dark to be slightly more conceiled.

Well say theres a hill thats far enough away so an enemy base can't hear an engine on the hill. Imagine if a group of like 20 harassers line up on the hill with their headlights off, then flick them on. ANyone that is looking in that direction will probabaly go something like:
"OH SHIT!"

Negative, they cannot be turned off. They are just for show ;) Its in our AGN Interview somewhere :D
i htink they shouldn't be able to be turned off, but htey should be able to be shoot out. But it should be pretty hard to do.

I deffinetly think they should be able to be turned off, kinda usurps the stealth theme when the recon skeeter is shot down after the whole force is alerted by the blazing lights from above.

I didn't see any, It very well could but from what I've seen no. And yes it would be completely assanine if there was an invisible vehicle driving around but with two blazing headlights suspended in mid-air.

THe thing is it will never be really Dark so with or without headlights you will still be able to be seen from far away. It will be like Dusk at night sure headlights will be a bit un stealthy but o well I dont think i will make a big Difference in this great game. But i still think that they should let them go on and off just for the fact it would be cool.

Even if they do, it'll be cloaked light... the infil suit will cause the light rays to bend around the light rays... if you know what I mean. :)

im more concerned about the glairing blue glow from the visors on everyones helmets except for the infil. suits.
hope that doesnt shine very far in the dark, it'd be impossible to ambush.

Didn't Rogue13 or a dev say that turning off the headlights was on a "to do in the future" list or something like that? Seem to recall he or nother dev mention that.

So what accounts for the headlights being off in some screenshots? Do they automatically turn off during the day?

very easy way to get around this problem ... just strap a Vanu corpse across the front of your vehicle, blocking the headlights :D
