Heya guys -
After GU09 finishes up we're going to be focusing most of the team on a Game Update that's largely going to be player requested enhancements to "quality of life" and bug fixes.
By quality of life I just mean things that make the game better but aren't necessarily broken right now, for example the, "quick camo" we added to the loadout screen would be a quality of life enhancement.
So, what do ya got? Theres a thread on the official forums already but I wanted to come straight to you guys and see what you thought too.
Can't promise we'll get to everything, and we already have a pretty big list to work on, but I want to be sure we try to hit the biggest gripes and irritations coming out of this community as well! I would love, love, love having the ability to turn off camos as a setting option. Did I mention that I would love it?
I can understand if it needs to be a paid option so that those who bought camo don't feel their purchase is negated without me having to sacrifice a bit as well, but -PLEASE- give us this option.
Some of the camo is a bit ridiculous and having to deal with all of the variations is just one more thing that negatively affects performance for some. I'd love to play a game that actually looks like Planetside and not a bunch of random dudes wearing snow and forest camo in the desert.
-Please- consider providing a way for us to disable camos. Thank you for even reading this suggestion either way.

Instead of a drop down menu for loadouts, turn it into 3 buttons we can press that selects the loadout, and resupplies.
Please, separate the cosmetics so we can apply wing tips and lumi, antenna, underglow and rims instead of having to pick between them.

Squad 3 being purple. Having both a squad and faction the same color is a bad idea. I want to play with faction colors but can't thanks to that squads color and me having to re-think about shooting targets in the dark or hunting purple non ES vehicles on the mini map.
I can't tell you how many times I almost weapons locked myself when seeing a purple lightning or harasser on the mini map coming right for me only to have it be squad 3.

Not sure if this fits your definition but I would love to see some sort of inventory system. This would allow us to change weapon configuration "on the run" instead of having to find a terminal.
Edit: Oh, i forgot... joystick control for aircraft.... please, please, please.

The landing gear bug when you first spawn the reaver.
Also as far as the UI it would be nice to have more custom classes. Instead of choosing your class, then load out. I think it would be better to have custom loadout to choose from with my specific class, weapons, and utilities already decided. Kinda like in PS1.

Sensor darts do not always show their pulse on the minimap.
EMP grenades do not drain or otherwise prevent the use of certain class abilities.
Decoy grenades do not create false dots on the minimap as they are supposed to.
When I hack someone out of a phalanx turret, they should appear on my screen at the same time I appear on theirs. Currently they frequently fail to render until they start shooting me in the head.
(Hacking certed up to level 4, perhaps that has something do to with it.)
EDIT: Have the active GM(s) listed somewhere on the screen.

Thanks for coming over here and looking for smaller-scale feedback! I prefer these forums knowing I can write a lot more here and more people will actually read and understand it, and it won't get lost in the mass of posts.
1. Engineer has no ability, must drop ammo manually, takes several seconds to appear and difficult to place...
Solutions I've seen proposed: Bind ammo pack to F as ability with cooldown (like Charge on a MAX) and drop it like Mines or C4 unless game mechanics would interfere horribly with that.
2. Not being able to spawn where the fight is. This is a big one for me because I try to do defense, and when I redeploy to defend another facility I often find myself not able to get there. This is because outposts are prioritized over main spawn rooms far too much (I'd rather take a main spawn room over any outpost spawns in most cases). The perfect thing would be to have access to...
>All spawns in zone
>All spawns within 500m of death
>All main spawns in adjacent areas
>3 "Reinforcements needed" spawns that appear in different areas (preferably those owned by YOUR faction so you can defend them) and never, ever focusing on outposts like they do now. Also, unless "reinforcements needed" are the same for everyone across the continent, add a mechanism by which spawns do not get listed twice and a player playing where reinforcements are needed gets an additional spawn option.
Flying up to a tower vehicle terminal from below (from stair or vehicle pad) as LA and then pressing E before landing while facing the terminal... sometimes drags you through the teleporter and pops you out the top. Forcing you to run down again.
With deployment near squad leader, sometimes when respawning you get the option to respawn at the point nearest to him/her... and sometimes you don't. Which leads me to look for my squad leader on the minimap, which if dots are clustered too tightly takes a few seconds of spot-the-1. Maybe allow special tracking of squad and platoon leaders?
Pressing more than a few buttons at the same time tends to confuse the game. While pressing forward and tab (checking alert/score/players in vicinity while in a vehicle) I can also press Right to turn my vehicle right... but cannot press left to turn it left. Which is weird. This is also for trying to turn on FPS counter while running... it doesn't work, too many buttons, gotta stop and let go of some of the keys for it to work. :?
When securing a facility from enemy capture, if the enemy capture bar has started filling up and the owners have resecured the CP majority, as long as the bar is "owned" by the enemy (more than halfway capped), no capture completion timer will be displayed on it.
(At least this was so the last time I checked.)
Instant death in restricted zones needs to go away. I'm already taking periodic damage, adding an instant death after a certain time spent inside feels a little cheap if you're focused on maintaining your health while in the field (which will be at 50% anyway and require effort and concentration to keep there). I'm all for staying with simple pain fields, crap like this never made Planetside 1.
I'll be sure to think of more.

There's also a delay on bringing up the equipment menu when you approach it. I think it's there to keep people from switching equipment too fast, but is it really necessary? Maybe you can tweak it so that it is only delayed after you have recently used it.

Things I have compiled from my outfit:
Screen Flickering Bug.
Freeze/Crash on Redeploy.
Teleporting back to starting location after exiting a Vehicle
VR dumping loadouts.
Annhilator, Striker (On Second and Third Rounds), A2A missiles all firing Duds (These are all nearly two month's old now)
Setting your Squad to Private still allows brand new players to join, even if you have it set to private and outfit only.
Quality of Life
FOV Fixed for Vehicles, Seeing as how it's locked to something very low and cannot be changed.
More Load-out Slots
Customize-able HUD.
Some sort of ability to draw on the map for Platoon & Squad leads.
Have the Outfit's MOTD appear on the screen when you log in. (Toggelable in Settings?)

Also, I heard reports of people having textures just go missing, special mention was made of Tech plants
There is the issue with Communication and ammo towers, which now serve as Anti-air towers, clipping in and out of reality.
Not being able to reset things in your recruitment message without dropping the message
Also, as has been said a few times already, thank you for paying attention to the community in what you have been doing, and engaging people directly for this.

Of the suggestions that have been made since I started writing, I especially agree with the fact that we need the ability to:
-- Change color of squads in our platoon on our HUD
-- Change loadouts quickly with less clicks. May I propose the idea of using the number keys as hotkeys? 1 for loadout 1, 2 for loadout 2 and 3 for loadout 3? It will interfere with nothing, makes everything faster and leaves room for more loadout slots, which people also kinda want.

There is also a funny thing where the drop-pod noise restarts every time you switch back to first person after having changed the camera angle. Unnecessary breaking any immersion.
Also if we're gonna be talking about things that will improve the game and have already been discussed, I wanna talk about
-- ADADADAD strafing to break netcode and gain unnatural advantage through distorted hitboxes and player models moving weirdly for anyone trying to shoot them. This needs to go away.

I would like to be able to clearly see where my squad leader is before I hit "squad deploy". Many times I end up away from the main squad/platoon because my squad leader is doing something away from the group. This happens most of the time when I am with a zerg and the squad leader isn't with the main platoon. I'd like to see where I am going without having the find them on the map which takes time. Thanks.

Platoon related bugs:
1) As platoon leader, I'm not in the /leader channel
2) As a platoon leader, I cannot set myself to the leader of a squad (The menu is changed to a generic 'Leave Squad' button). /squad setowner <Myname> doesn't work either.
3) If a squads leader changes, the private squad options are reset and default to public. This is not reflected in the UI (Outfit-only squad still looks outfit only).
4) Private squad must be checked if you want it outfit only. Cut out the middle man here and don't worry about the private squad check button.
5) The names of squads in the management UI change when another squad leader in the platoon changes the listing name of the squad. It's right on the public squad listing page, just wrong when you are a squad leader.
6) It'd be really really really really nice to just list my platoon, and if a squad fills up, new joiners are put into another squad in the platoon.
7) I would like a timer on the cooldown of my squad beacon. It's hard to see if I have ~10s left on beacon cooldown or it's ready to go as the gauge is mostly filled but I cant determine the pixels.
8) For my public squad running friends: The ability to ban people from your platoon
9) As a platoon or squad leader, it's be nice to recolor the squads. Also, rename them in the UI.
Outfit leader stuff:
1) When a player has been offline for over a month, the Last Online indicator does not show the date they were last online. It'd be nice to see when they last logged in (the date).
2) When a player has not logged in for a while (I don't know the length), they show up as BR 1 in the Outfit UI. I want to kick all the low BR players from my outfit that haven't logged in for over a month but I accedentally kicked some high BR players because it showed them as BR1.
3) I would like to be able to create ranks and titles for outfit members. Titles being ranks that have no permissions attached. We will use this to great comedy effect in TEST.
4) I would like a way to link a Steam group to our Outfit. For example, if a Event is starting in my outfit's steam group calendar, it would be nice to broadcast that to everyone online. Additionally, some button on the Outfit UI for players to join the steam group attached to our outfit from ingame if they've launched through steam and have the overlay (like the store does).
Other stuff:
1) Custom ingame Voice channels please! It kinda works (/voice join <channelname>) but it breaks randomly and has no UI support. Can we get this feature finished? Vanu on mattherson would love you long time.
2) Global Orders chat and contentent specific /leader chat.
3) Alert status and Alert leaderboard in the API.

This is what I need to make outfit/platoon management...well, managable:
- The ability to make myself a squad leader.
- The ability to see squad names and rename them or make them public/private.
- The ability to ban someone permanently from squads under my command (eliminating screaming voice grievers).
- Priority override to leaders for in-game voice.
- Ability to see and reset the waypoints for each squad.
- Ability to select people that can be automatically promoted to platoon and squad leader if I or a squad leader drops connection.
INFILTRATOR (BUGS)
-Unable to cloak after immediately firing bolt action snipers.
-Server cloaked but not graphically cloaked after exiting a vehicle or just spawned
-Ping darts are freezing on the minimap and not reporting enemy locations often, graphically sometimes, and mechanically sometimes
ENGINEER (BUGS)
-Unable to switch to primary sometimes with underbarrel grenade launchers on trac 5s
-Can we just get sticky ammo packs like a c4 ? Deploying them is a pain in the ass.. would be nice to stick them like in Battlefield 3.
-auto switches to primary soon as you placed ammo box ( STAHP ) just switch to last used.
A2A ESF (BUGS)
-A2A Tomcats are bugged like crazy right now and have been awhile. Firing missiles dont register on server and sometimes it takes ammo count from you, you know when the missile is bugged because you fire a missile and reload and you can start locking instantly after it fired (firing duds).
ALL vehicles (WANTS)
Number 1 request for vehicles (I also think i speak for a majority here)

-Stop making them explode if the roof hits the ground... really it sucks.
-ADD a UI for the gunner so he knows what way the vehicle is facing (like the one in the bottom right of the Skyguard UI)

First I gotta comment on one awesome change. I've played a lot of FPS games with capture modes, where the cap point always shows in your field of view so you can easily navigate to them. I've always had a huge issue with those big flashy icons getting in the way, they always seem to cover that window from your favorite spot, or give cover to an open area, and just blocks your line of sight on an usually open area.
But in PS2 you up the transparency of screen icons when aiming down the sight, AWESOME!
Turret direction indicator for Vehicles
As in a ground vehicle driver will have rotating turrets on his green vehicle health image. That show the direction of his gunners. Can do the same for Libs and Galaxies.
Missile Tracking
Some kind of range indicator for incoming locked missiles. A range count down would be ideal, but maybe a faster toned lock on beep? Faster it beeps closer the missile is?
Elevation Indicator for Radar
Mainly beneficial against aircraft, but also good against ground. A primitive solution, but identifies my point, is putting tiny elevation numbers under a vehicle on your radar. But I like the idea of a simple "Above YOU" or "Below YOU" style. Like you could place a small " ^ " above a vehicle if it's a higher elevation then you, and it could get bolder/larger/different color depending on how far above you they are.
Elevation Indicator for Incoming Damage
When you take damage, you get the red curves around your center view indicating what general direction it came from. It's how games implement situational awareness. I propose putting a " ^ " on the inner arc of that damage indicator (so pointing towards the center) if the damage is coming from above you, and again it can grow based on distance. Then another on the outer curve if it's below you.
Vehicle Equipment Swap
I can understand this not being in, really. Because if it's used too often it could allow for too much versatility, letting one ESF do everything. But it think it'd be ok with a cost, like it requires and consumes your aircraft's cooldown. Or a high resource cost.
MORE LOADOUTS
When dying as a MAX, have it go back to your previous class+loadout instead of LA #1
Landing gear on aircraft getting stuck out
When reviving as a medic, completing the circle doesn't actually mean they are rezzed; the only sure-fire sign the rez has completed is when the body "props themselves up". It'd be great if the progress completion and actual rez going through was tighter
A "Grenade Mod" suit slot - Current sticky grenade becomes a mod to make frag grenade sticky - Add two sticky mods for medic revive & heal grenades. Alternatively just sticky variants of revive & heal.. but seems silly to have to purchase both separately.
Repair tool's HEAT increasing with trigger held down even when not actually repairing anything (ie, running up to a destroyed gen, but clicking too soon builds heat even though you were out of range and aren't actually repairing)
Harasser rumble-seat occupant getting hit by the harasser's own gun
Harasser rumble-seat occupant damaging harasser at certain angles / moving backwards
Clearer indicator on Scythe when forward momentum is lost
Infantry decals not visible with armor cosmetics
Store often doesn't categorize things correctly - for example, when Lumifiber first came out you could choose "Misc" on Liberators and see it, but for the Scythe you had to leave everything unchecked and scroll through until you found it. Has happened to weapons too.
If "Compare Weapon" is checked from the loadout screen, and then a new weapon is chosen, the comparison tooltip keeps using the original weapon until you uncheck / recheck the checkbox
I die quite often. Its very annoying and should be looked into

I have a couple of minor suggestions that won't really impact gameplay much, but would increase my enjoyment of the game. Feel free to entirely disregard these.
I think the vehicles feel too slow, even the harasser. I think it would be neat if the field of view increases the faster you go, so maybe when you're at the vehicle's top speed you get something like +10 FOV.
Please add a stock attachment for carbines. I would pay like 500 stationcash just to have a stock on a carbine, even if it was purely cosmetic. That's how much I want them.

For engineer:
Fix weapon switching back to primary after ammo drop.
Fix repair tool weapon model having "repairing" effects and sounds, even though you're out of range and not repairing what you're trying to repair.
Fix turrets not moving up or down depending on if someone is sitting inside it! Hate it when someone gets out of the turret and I don't notice because the turret is still up!

Quality of Life Suggestions
- It would be very nice to have have more FOV options, such as independently setting driver, pilot, turret, gunner, and infantry view fov from the primary fov slider. If a cap is necessary it needs to be a minimum of 60-120 horizontal degrees.
- first person weapon/arm viewmodel fov
- Auto eject option for ground vehicles that flip over and then go through the damage over time auto destruct sequence (no auto eject for collision damage destruction)
- Dynamic HUD customization: http://i.imgur.com/pSAclUM.jpg. Alternatively: pre-set HUD layouts that the user can choose
- An official stance on oculus rift support for Forgelight/PS2 would be very nice :)
- Vehicle awareness: Representation of gunner turret angles on vehicle health icon, as was in PS1; gunner ammo displayed on the physical driver cockpit panels; vehicle health displayed on vehicle cockpit panels
- Adjust motion blur so that it does not always use the maximum amount of blur on players, vehicles, etc. Have low/medium/high settings if there are major performance concerns.
- Quality options for PhysX to choose to enable only certain parts, eg debris and teleporters on but not lifts and sparks etc
- Remove the vertical limit on infantry look
- Status information for all deployables: mines, turrets, beacons etc
- Quicker loadout selection: able to choose class/loadout entirely by keyboard shortcuts and use icons or some other alternative for the loadout drop down menu selection
- Ability to use the free cursor to set waypoints from the minimap
- Option to hide the XP message and outfit logging information
- Display Outfit message of the day on log-in
- Squad leader ability to set tactical objectives. These can be specific players, vehicles, turrets, capture points, etc. The icon displays for all squad members and always stays on screen
- Icon for what continent your squad is on in the continent select menu of the map
- Addition of an elevation meter for aircraft to accompany the altitude meter
- Joystick/HOTAS and controller support
- Perhaps it would be a good idea to go ahead and move the continent warp terminals to the warpgate center in preparation for the warping update? Some infantry terminals at the periphery of the center would be nice too
- Update the Centered HUD textures to make the bars cleaner (no gradients within each little square)

Bugs
- Texture LoD is sometimes displayed at inappropriate levels depending on where you're standing, regardless of distance, eg some textures need to be zoomed in on to have their full res loaded, parts of some building textures will go down on lod if you stand on certain parts (especially noticed this on end of the bottom floor of the half donut building)
- Players on low settings report building models with random triangles missing often
- Player model LoDs deteriorate extremely fast and do not resemble their higher LoD models at all
- Interact option is very finicky: sometimes you have to approach and back off again and again at things to bring up the "press E to..." prompt. Especially of concern for trying to save generators from blowing up...
- When Toggle Zoom is enabled, you will zoom in again after you cancel your zoom by running, reloading, etc instead of it staying zoomed out. Pressing right trigger while a deployable is equipped will make your weapons zoom in when you switch to them.

A buff to Triage. It just seems like a worthless cert line.
More personal waypoints.
More loadout slots.
To be able to see the squad waypoints of all squads in my platoon.
To be able to merge multiple platoons into a company.
Respawning after dying in a max suit defaulting to the last used class/loadout.
Display map on pressing tab instead of the leaderboard.
Forward grip on sniper rifles reducing scope sway.
When Squad or Platoon leading to be able to set an XO so that if you disconnect for any reason someone competent takes over until you relog.
Audio Changes for weapons to make them sound Stronger.
Showing armor upgrades like nanoweave or flack armor on the character.
New HUD for Maxes.
Ammo counter for secondary weapons on vehicles and a display of secondary gun position.
Heat buildup on engineer repair tool only if you are actively repairing something.
Better tooltips on abilities.
Reflex sights for pistols and heavy weapons.
Bug: When in single fire mode it sounds like the weapon fires twice.

More loadouts and the ability to put them into groups. So I can have my Long Range kit, but the dropdown list would be Night or Day, maybe even AI or AV turret, or something. Then short range kit with a similar set-up, but using a different weapon, like an SMG or a shotgun. For heavy assault I could have separate launchers in the sublists. I find it quite a burden to be swapping optics or launchers a lot in the midst of combat depending on the situation in its current iteration.
Also, I love the new camo option, but maybe go one step further with setting camo per continent? Can't tell you how many times I have gone to Esamir and realized I was still in my Giraffe camo 15 minutes later. Though this would be lesser priority since its already pretty good.

Marking specific targets / objectives should be far more spontaneous and effective for squad leaders. This is particularly a problem between air support and ground leadership.
The spotting system is helpful to your team in a much more casual way but doesn't really work for anything remotely ambitious or tactical.
Squad/Platoon leaders in general should be able to do more fun and useful stuff, rather than just being regular troops with some basic admin privileges. The spawn beacon/squad deploy mechanic is essential but also rather rudimentary in 2013.

Higby: I spoke to you back in January during the "Metgame Design Meeting" thing. The last thing I did was bring up a small "quality of life issue". It was that Platoon Leaders cannot access /orders or /leader without also being Squad Leader. (In fact they cannot access any "Squad Leadership" certifications such as smoke).
Your response was that you were fairly sure there was a ticket out on that issue. Given it's been a while, could that be made more of a priority please :)

Ongoing "Quality of life" issues:
1) "Squad Leadership" certs to be available to platoon leader even if they are not a squad leader
2) Update Platoon UI so that the Platoon leader can move him / herself.
3) Update Platoon UI so that the "recruitment" options display properly.
(If one squad leader updates recruitment options, the details in this section change for all platoon members. Though this does not over-write any recruitment options previously set for other squads)
Suggestion: Squad leaders can only ever see what the recruitment settings are for their squad. Add tabs for each squad to this section for the Platoon leader so they can see what has been set (and set themselves)
4) Remove kill details from text chat.
Suggestion: Tabs such as "leader" only display messages sent via /leader
Ideally: Tabs should be customisable by what feeds appear in it (from locay /say and kill details to region and leader)

cant switch gear from a vehicle without spawning another vehicle
weapon upgrade slots stipulate one of each slot (rail, barrel, sights, ammo, etc). Why not change it to you can fill up all of the slots to a max number of slots, but from any position? There is no way to read ally movements from across the map. Ideally I'd like either a certification or a CUD that allows a player (with the proper certifications) to view all allies on the main map, no matter how far away they are. If you go the CUD route, then you can limit the "power" of this by making it a pistol-slot requirement. It's a big peeve of mine to be able to see what my allies are doing in the next territory over, to know really what I should do.
So, Quality of Life: No CUD, no Reveal Allies ability on said CUD.
I realize there might be hardware limitations on showing all alllies due to the interface being a Flash platform. That's another reason why it should be a limited-use function. Anyway.
The entire interface, aside from the HUD. I don't like it.
Is it possible to give us faction-themed interfaces?
Like the NC would have a rugged, rusted PDA device with hard-set buttons and dials, almost like a Pip Boy.
The TR would have a sleek touch-screen tablet.
The VS would have a holographic display.
The factions all have identical optics types. I'd like to see the TR using electronic zoom functions like modern military's do, the NC using purely scopes and periscopes because they can't afford or "don't need" the higher-tech optics the TR have, and the VS would have a triangular picture-in-picture zoom function.
This is for vehicles. Essentially the TR would have a large, rectangular picture-in-picture zoom. The NC would have exactly what we have now, except maybe you can insert a nice visual transition where the player can see the scope moving into view. The VS would have a smaller, triangular picture-in-picture zoom that comes up faster.

MAX units have no optics. You could apply the advanced optics suggested above to MAX units as well.
In addition, vehicles (and infantry) can only set themselves up with one optics mode. It would be nice if we had a Tribes-esque function where we could press a zoom setting button which would display a series of shrinking zoom power functions on our screen, that would give us a box displaying the FOV we would be zooming into given this zoom power. Then we would actually press the zoom button and then viola, we're zoomed in! If you've played Tribes 1 or Tribes 2, that's how the zoom function worked. It doesn't have to be available to infantry; perhaps you could give LA or combat medics a pair of ES binoculars that would do exactly that.
(obviously you couldn't switch to your weapon and start firing using this enhanced optics feature. We're future-soldiers; we really should all have some advanced optics either implanted in our eyes our in our helmet HUDs)
Sometimes I accidentally cloak when firing. It would be nice if the game did not allow you to cloak if you still had your finger on the trigger.
sometimes the reload animation for the Sweeper Shotgun does not play properly.
Sometimes, when transitioning from sprinting to non-sprinting while reloading the Phoenix, the animation does not play properly.
The standard Engineer Anti-infantry Turret is completely useless (other than deploy-able cover) and other players cannot man it.
Pistols cannot mount scopes. If we could slap a 2x scope on the Mag-Shot, it'd be so baller.
Vehicles cannot switch armaments without being re-spawned. Please give us some way to re-equip spawned vehicles.
ESF have no way to determine the altitude of targets on the minimap.

I actually want the kill feed in its own tab. Just look at how World of Warcraft does it! Multiple chat tabs, even a Combat Log... which is nauseatingly intricate, and just replacing it with a kill feed would work in Planetside 2.

I'd also like to be able to set the text size on the screen in the chat. I recently went down a little in terms of resolution, suddenly I can only see 60% of the text that I could see before without scrolling. I low-res text is harder, but if I can understand the letters I'll definitely be close enough to the screen to read them!
Pressing more than a few buttons at the same time tends to confuse the game. While pressing forward and tab (checking alert/score/players in vicinity while in a vehicle) I can also press Right to turn my vehicle right... but cannot press left to turn it left. Which is weird. This is also for trying to turn on FPS counter while running... it doesn't work, too many buttons, gotta stop and let go of some of the keys for it to work. :?
I've never experienced this, so it may just be an issue with your keyboard if you aren't using on that is labeled as gaming/anti-ghosting. Most regular keyboards have a limit to the amount of keys that can be pressed simultaneously before ghosting occurs.

Why do we count teamkills in the death tally ? It's always frustrating to have an awesome kill-streak ended by some random teammate who hardly knew what he was doing. Keep FF ON just don't count it in the death tally. Alternatively, if revived it doesn't count the death (similar to BF3).
Annoying Bugs -
Optimization to improve FPS is challenging but the community will love you even more.
DESYNC followed by the NO DAMAGE BUG still crops up on perfectly healthy machines. Few of my friends have stopped playing this game a bit ago. You are losing valuable customers SOE.
MULTIPLE LOADING SCREEN (even when changing seats in a vehicle)
/Region chat sometimes doesn't work, especially in large battles.

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but it would be nice if the last load out you customized was the load out you spawned as. Right now if I spawned as Medic Loadout 01 and then die, then customize Medic Loadout 02, it will still spawn me as Medic Loadout 01 unless I specify Loadout 02. Presumably if I'm customizing a loadout, it means I'm customizing it for the situation I'm in and I want to use that loadout next.

I know it's a balance issue, but I don't think it's a big one. Vanu weapons lack their distinct advantage they had in PS1, and that was having a unique fire-mode ability to switch between anti-armor and anti-infantry rounds on the fly. I'd like that back and I don't even play vanu.

Agreed with everyone else about the spinning drop pods, very nauseating.
Probably not the biggest thing in the world for most people, but the one thing that has been absolutely bugging me since beta are the reload animations on most of the TR weapons. In the medic class, the only reload animation that isn't bugged is the SABR-13. In all the other weapons, the animation of your character pulling back the charging handle and the charging handling actually moving back are completely out of sync.
I do believe you guys fixed part of this earlier, seeing as how the magazine going into the gun isn't out of sync anymore.
If this can be fixed, it would be fantastic.

A big thing I would like as I'm a very dynamic (even ADD) player is to be able to get 5 loadout slots per class instead of the 3 we have. Maybe you get the 4th at BR 30 and the 5th at BR 50 or something.
Another good thing would to be able to merge platoons into companies and have more tools to manage whatever size group you have.
Also, make it so that FF deaths don't count toward stats and a revive negates the death count but not the kill count on the other end. (see BF3).

The ability to create "routes/paths/checkpoints" instead of just single waypoints would be great. Idealy the whole path would still be visible on the map, but the checkpoints you already reached are turnes light grey instead of orange/green/blue.
The decoy grenade is a joke right now. The fact that it doesn't create a radar signature limits its usefulness (silencers prevent you from showing up on the map, so something that deliberately makes loud noises should logically show up). Also - and I even hate that more than the radar thing - the sound the grenade makes are stupid. They are as "unrealistic" as it gets, that "burst fire pattern" is sooo easily identified to be fake, that I think most experienced players will fall for it less and less and less. My suggestion is to have the decoy grenade have multiple, more realistic sound patterns (one is selected when the grenade is thrown):
1.) "Full Auto" - Sound of a standard faction carabine fiering a whole clip.
2.) "Sniper" - Sound of the faction standard sniper rifle fiering. Chances are the enemy knows a infiltrator is nearby anyway, so this
3.) "Pistol" - Sound of the faction standard pistol. Here the burst fire from the current grenade might actually sound not too unrealistic.
4.) "Voice Recording" - Play fake "Need Ammo/Medic/Help" voice makros to make the enemy think there is an easy target for him.
The #1 "quality of life" thing that I think would make my life a LOT easier would be a dedicated Resupply key. When I am near a Equipment Terminal or Sunderer, often I just want to Resupply. However currently I have to use the Loadout Menu for that. Depending on how much is going on around me, opening the menu can take a couple of seconds. I lost count how many time the 5 seconds I waited for the loadout screen to show up actually got me killed... If I could simply press a different button and get resupplied without having to open any menues, that would be awesome.

Add the ability to swap out your vehicle weapons at rearm pads without having to de-spawn the vehicle. Either that or, a way to deconstruct the old one and have the timer immediately return to 0 so you can grab a new weapons loadout (still costs full resources, and can only happen if the vehicle is in full health or something).
Quality of Life eh? Hmm..
- When driving in third person view, in a vehicle with afterburner/nitro, I'd love to be able to see the gauge so I know when I can use it again, without switching back to first person.
- Get rid of that crash when exiting Planetside 2.
- Fix the bug with exiting VR training and having to re-equip every suit slot in every loadout! Gah!
- Reducing the number of clicks to navigate any menu is always good.

Everyone covered the big ones so I'll add a nice one to have. Get rid of all the extra screens for the loadouts. That seems to be the general direction already. When I click on the grenade button just make a quick overlay so 2 clicks to change grenade type. If I click on an attachment on a weapon do the same thing. If I click on the weapon just show all the weapons with a scrollbar right there. You can get rid of the whole cert menu this way. Having little galleries for the appearance items would work also without a separate screen. Just hovering over them should show the difference as we scroll through the choices. Basically minimize the number of clicks to do anything down to 2 or even 1 would greatly increase the usability of the UI.
Also T-Ray said we'd be able to use both Lumifiber and Fins on the Liberator (up to 4 misc items). That would be really nice to see.

Unreportable Hacking - where hacker names can't be seen. We can't use /report unless there is a NAME. How can we even follow up with a ticket if we dont' even know the name.
- Glitching Sunderer into SCU Room(who is the owner of the Sunderer?)
- Sabotaging SCU underground (who is doing it?)
- Sabotaging Generators underground (who is doing it?)
- Shooting vehicles from under ground (who is doing it?)
- Is there a system in place that alerts the GM if there are players are under the map? There are some players are even hard to find overground such as using teleport and glitching through terrain.
- Hacked turrets that can't be rehacked and name of infiltrator inside doesn't display.
Sunderer/Vehicle/Mine/Turret Name/Kill Tag -
- Enemy alts putting Sunderers in bad spots so the next Sunderer spot available will be in line of sight of a target base. Denial of area tactic. (So we know who's doing it).
- Enemy alts putting Sunderer on bad spot such as the side of a steep hill so players can't go back up, hence trapped.
- Enemy alts blowing up friendly Sunderer. Player X blows your Sunderer.
- Who is blowing up friendly mines? X player blows up your mine.
- Who is putting Mana Turrets on doorways, entrance to towers, landing pads etc to block/hinder/grief players, vehicles.
- Who is blowing up your AV/AI/AA base turret if you're not inside. Liberators that are too high/far away to even render. Long ranged aimbots as well.
Team Killing (griefing, alts) - Team kiling and griefing. Yes, hacking is making a gradual comeback, but Tking is now the main player problem.
- Log in to alt and straight up TK.
- Log in to alt and drop Mines all over the Spawn. (They shouldn't be deployeable in spawn room while shield is up).
- Log in alt and blow up important vehicles like the Sunderer or Flash.
- Players and GMs need better options to deal with these players. They use abusive exploits to grief and turn the tide of battles.
More Minimap Icons
- Which Turret needs repair? Engineers have to circle the whole Amp station to find the broken turret?
- Which Turret is hacked? Infiltrators have to circle the Amp Station to find a hacked turret?
- Minimap repaired Generators/SCU still not updating in real time unless you reopen/close the map (M) then it updates.
Misc. -
- The elevator arrows are still giving the wrong direction.
- No victory rewards to players who switch faction during alerts (In short a 2-hour alert reward cooldown ONLY when an alert is in progress). This is destroying the population balance and faction idenfication in this game.
- Bring back the specific redeploy/instant action at a cost of resources. Example, if players want to go to a Biolab, players can redeploy by paying infantry resource points. The more often this option is used, the more resource points are charged. As I've mentioned before, the new random instant action broke the flow of large battle (it's rarer nowadays) especially in absent of predictable pathways (Rush Lanes system). I think it will be restored when the lattice system is installed but a good gameplay option won't hurt.
Basically, have the normal redeployment points available for free (as it is right now) but in further areas, they would cost resources more and more (distance/cost gradient).
- Helmets need lore friendly descriptions. The guns have an immersive, lore friendly descriptions, but the Helmets do not (except maybe for the skull ones). Instead, the Helmet descriptions are bubbling with sarcastic undertones.
- I put down two proximity mines. I go back to the infantry terminal. I have to click resupply, go out of the terminal screen the click again before + key on my proximity mines are ungreyed out. If I don't the + key is greyed out.
- Hacked terminals/turret is destroyed can't be repaired again by original base owner.

A lot of mine have already been mentioned, but the ones that haven't been yet.
- Liberator landing gear sometimes get stuck in the down position and gets in the way of my belly guns line of sight on his screen, but on my screen it's not down. I have to quickly land and take off again for it to be up on both of our screens.
- Striker bug where even after using Flares/IR Smoke, it acts like it only gets rid of the first rocket while the other 4 hit me. Sometimes happens even when I don't use Flares/IR Smoke, but put a buildings or hill between me and the Striker and the rockets will still hit me.
- Phoenix "issue". When I die the missile just disappears or does no dmg. I agree that if I die then I lose control of my missile, but If i was just about to hit my target and I die, the missile should've continued on dumbfire and possibly hit the target.
- Lancer "issue". Because of render distances, lots of times I get hit my Lancers I don't see the laser beam so I can't trace it back to its source to try and kill them.
- Pump action "issue". While the debate on these is huge and I know it won't be a simple fix. I personally would've rather you guys nerfed the semi-auto/full auto shotguns to where it takes 5-6 shots to kill someone and gave the 2-3 shot capability to the pump actions. There are already plenty of things in this game that can one shot infantry, we really didn't need another one.
- I know it might be too late to do anything about it, but it really sucks how you guys shot yourselves in the foot by having so many guns in at launch. Too many of them are similar to others, while some are strait upgrades. I only play NC but some examples include:
1. LA1 Anchor is a strait upgrade from the GD-22S as all the stats are the same except the Anchor has higher RPM and Muzzle Velocity. The only thing the GD-22S has over the Anchor is around .2 faster reload which is not a big enough difference to warrant using the GD-22S over the Anchor. The only reason I ever used the GD-22S was because of its unique model was so different than the other NC LMG's.
2. I used to love the Sweeper but after you guys have done a couple balance passes, it is now the worst of the NC shotguns. I no longer use it, which sucks because I am 400 kills away from an Auraxium medal in it. When it came down to the decision making process of which shot gun to use, I chose the Piston because all 3 shots guns take the exact same amount of shots to kill someone and at least the Piston has the option of being full auto should the need arise.
- Finally, the Player Studio cannot come soon enough. I am at the point to where I will no longer be spending SC on anything other than cosmetics. If I can buy it with certs I will save up for it. Simply tired of spending money on things that can completely change from patch to patch.

- Replace the drop-down list for loadouts with 3 loadout buttons.
- Improved performance/more consistent performance. This is easily the biggest issue. At certain bases/fights, I can only face one direction or else my framerate drops to a very undesirable amount. My GPU, CPU and internet speed are all high-end and top notch, driver updated, and UserSettings file done to maximize the framerate, but it still suffers based on the battle. Looking one direction and getting 100+ fps and then turning a bit and getting sub-40 to low 30 fps really sucks.
- Gifting SC. There are a bunch of poor college guys in my clan, I'd love to be able to get them some better stuff without having to mail them SC cards.
- I've seen them in the test server, the ADS slider and ability to have the Territory Controlled, Enemy Activity, and Ally Activity filters all on at the same time, so bring them in as soon as you can.
- Not sure if for here, but adding in the ability to detach and reattach the suppressor could be cool. Add in a fairly lengthy animation to make the player somewhat vulnerable and perhaps add in a screwing/squeaking sound so that they must do it way in advance and not right next to enemies without alerting them.
- Darker nights/longer nights/more dynamic nights (sometimes they are darker than normal, sometimes they are how they are now).

My biggest gripe about the game involves faction population imbalance (tried to link to your Twitter message about this and my replies, but it embeds the tweet on the page which I don't want -- just see the replies to your tweet; you know which one (http://www.reddit.com/r/Planetside/comments/1ecguj/higby_what_do_you_think_a_good_fix_we_could/)), but I don't think it qualifies as a "quality of life" suggestion on the order of what you're asking for here.
My quality of life suggestions, roughly in order of most importance to me:
Make the color for Charlie squad something that doesn't conflict with anything else in the color scheme, which means no to purple (which is, of course, the VS's faction color). Configurable squad colors would be even better, but still, Charlie's default color shouldn't be purple or some other conflicting color.
Stop Redeploy from automatically selecting a new location, or at least give us an option that prevents this. It should always use the last location I spawned from. If that location doesn't exist (including if it existed a moment ago but now doesn't - sunderer mobilized/destroyed or facility lost while I was looking at the redeploy map), then it should select "nothing", forcing me to choose a new place. (No more accidentally spawning at the wrong base or blowing a spawn beacon timer after I chose where I really wanted to go!)
Platoon and squad leaders need to be able to ban trolls from a squad/platoon.
A better way to decide who inherits leadership positions in a squad/platoon -- especially a platoon. Just because the platoon is open to the public doesn't mean it isn't outfit-run. Some fancy but easy-and-quick-to-use configuration would be nice, but the simple solution seems to be this: If the platoon leader disconnects, it should pass off leadership to a squad leader and should prefer a squad leader who is a member of the same outfit, if possible. If a squad leader disconnects, it should - when possible - pass off leadership to a member of that squad who is in the same outfit as the platoon leader or, if the squad isn't part of a platoon, then the same outfit as the squad leader.
We need an easier way to mute people who are talking that won't accidentally mute the wrong person because they start talking when you hit a key. We also need an easier way to mute people who were talking a moment ago but aren't now. For the former, a very quick method is desired. For the latter, an improvement to the current interface reached from Social/Voice is needed.
A proper, persistent ignore list (for both muting and text chat) we can manage.
Drop pod consistency: Are we supposed to be able to move it quite a bit, or not? Sometimes when you're falling, you have virtually no control. Sometimes, you have a lot. It should always be the same. (Maybe this was fixed when that spinning bug was introduced; I'm not sure but it wasn't in the patch notes.)
Keybinds for things you have to right-click on the Map to do. For instance, place your cursor over a spot on the map, hit a single key you've bound, and bam - a waypoint is at that spot! Maybe require two actions: Right-click or press a bound key to open the popup menu, then press another key to select one of the options there. Y'know, like how Windows does it. This'd be very helpful, especially to people who have lots of options in that menu.
GUI keybinding consistency: If I hit "M", the Map should open. Yes, even if I'm currently looking at the Platoon/Squad page, or the Notifications page, or the Store, etc. Same deal with other keybindings of that nature. ("P" for Platoon/Squad page, etc.)
ALL sections in the "Escape" menu (Profile, Map, Class, Vehicle, etc.) should be key-bindable. (I particularly want an easier way to check on my cooldowns.)
I'd love it if vehicle collision damage was looked at. It seems to be way too easy to be killed by friendly vehicles bumping into you or your vehicle (especially flashes). Also, there is an inconsistency when it comes to ESFs ramming into each other. Two full-health ESFs ramming head on don't take the same damage, even to the point where a scythe might take little to no damage while the mosquito or reaver is destroyed. This can be aggravating.
A new "Combat Log" chat tab (or choose a better name for it) with better XP breakdown. (Could be implemented as part of the next item I list below.) It would list kills, deaths, and XP gains. The experience gains listed in the log should say what they're for, making it easier to tell what's earning this experience. To prevent it from being too spammy and help people add things up to a nice total number, it could group certain types together and insert it into the log only after you stop getting experience of that type for a little while -- e.g. repairing a vehicle may result in only a single line saying how much experience you got total instead of numerous lines for each tick. Not only would this help you see who killed you and all that (without anything else cluttering the chat tab), but it will help with SOE's goal of making XP gains more transparent.
Show vehicle icons on Platoon/Squad screen for characters that are currently in a vehicle. (Use a different icon for each vehicle type, of course.) If they are the owner/driver of the vehicle, put an icon indicating that in its corner (maybe a steering wheel?) or use a differently colored outlined so you can tell the difference between a driver and a passenger/gunner. The vehicle icons could use the same color scheme as the minimap does so you can tell if they're in a platoon/squad vehicle (bonus points if you can mouseover it to see who its owner is, extra bonus points if the tooltip shows the squad indicator -- e.g. a black circle with the number 4 for delta 4 -- and the name).
Show class icons of characters that are currently in a vehicle with you next to where their names are displayed on the right-hand side of the screen.
More chat tabs and options. I want a tab that shows everything except yells (where most of the trolling is). I'd settle for something that just hides yells, but it'd be better if I can switch to a tab that has them in case I want to look at past yells for some reason. (The ideal solution is something similar to World of Warcraft's configurable chat windows where you can create more and can decide what type of message goes in each.)
Weapon selection: Make pistol vs primary more consistent, or give players the option to make it this way... so I can configure a key to select my pistol without needing a different key when I've got an underbarrel attachment like the grenade launcher.
"E" to enter sunderer vs access terminal -- it often does the wrong one. Getting yourself lined up perfectly is annoying enough, but sometimes you ARE aligned perfectly and it STILL does the wrong action. This results in things like accessing the class screen when some guy is shooting at you instead of hopping in a turret to shoot at him (likely ending in your death), or you not switching to engineer to repair the sunderer (resulting in you dying as the sunderer explodes after taking damage you might have prevented/mitigated). These could optionally have different keys!
Edit: Oh, also a faster/easier method instead of dropdown menus for choosing class loadouts, plus allowing more loadouts! This should be near the top of my list.

I would say to combine all servers in the US, EU and AU (even though AU only has one). The reason is because I feel like the battles during non prime time hours are extremely small. I feel like if you were to only have three servers for each country, then there would be massive battles even at 3 in the morning! Though I doubt this will ever happen, because of lag issues and one faction being at 70% pop all the time, it would be nice to have this.
Another one would be to stop tracking deaths, but keep tracking kills. This is because K/D influences camping and hacking, and if you at least remove the death part of K/D, then I guarantee you that camping and hacking would not be a issue.

My biggest grip is having to manually uncloak to fire my weapons as an infiltrator as well as the rendering thing on mattherson, I know there have been some improvement towards it but we still dont load half the people when a big force shows up.

- Custom color options for the map that can be changed separately from facilities/objectives/terminals on the HUD

Fixes:
- Corpse collision. Currently the feet of corpses block movement and occasionally absorb bullets.
- Toggle Zoom. As is the standard for this feature, it should cancel on reloading, sprinting, using utility items, etc. It is especially frustrating to right-click to place C4, then switch back to a gun and have it automatically ADS you. The toggle feature just needs to be canceled by many actions.
- Performance improvements with regard to severe frame drops during explosions on top of your character (rocket spam triggers this easily -- drop from 90 to 10 FPS while being spammed).
- Server improvements with regard to massive lag/delay/desync in high density/poplocked areas that cause medkits and other activated abilities/consumables to malfunction and throw off hit registration, etc.

K/D is not the only stats in this game. Healing and repairing have there own stats that you can display. If you only look at K/D you're a retarded n00b idiot.
And no I think the exp reward healing and repairing is ok as it is. XP for resing might be a bit high compared to healing so maybe bring that up a bit.
But I don't want to get penalized for taking a risk resurrecting a random player by getting less exp if he is not one of the top 10 kill hoes of the server. Yes you say bonus but maxemize exp gain is the norm so getting less exp then max is a penalty.

just off the top of my head. Those things are definite advantages but not so much that they have any real overpowering effect on another outfit IMO.
other things would be various discounts on a particular style of play. a solid 10% off armor, air, etc they could focus on ONE of the three resources that they deem their outfit plays a majority of the time. Also we could perhaps have a 'super' station cash to buy one individual specialized weapon (like annihilator all my guys are required to have) for every member of the outfit.

Please, separate the cosmetics so we can apply wing tips and lumi, antenna, underglow and rims instead of having to pick between them.

Not a direct game change but it sure would make the quality of the game experience better. I think it's time SOE gets itself involved in the population balance issue. It's threatening to kill your game. One idea would be to give new first time players a recommended faction/server. One that needs more members of that faction. If they accept the recommendation they get a bonus starter pack. Something like 500 certs, and a few weapons.
Secondly implement a respawn timer/vehicle acquisition timer penalty to factions that are very overpopulated on a continental basis. As in more than 40% pop on a continent you start to respawn slower. Help give the underdogs more of a chance by making death for the horde sting more.
On a more general UI note I agree with those saying loadout slots should use keyboard numbers as a hotkey. Mash 2 to select loadout 2. Also I think checkboxes are faster than tabs for toggling through map display options. Would like to see that just made into all checkboxes on the right side.
One idea I had the other day was also if Knife melee could be bound to the "use" key. If you were in range of an object you could interact with you would use it otherwise you would do the knife attack.
Lastly I dunno if you will do it as part of your quality of life pass but there are many older weapons/items in the game that are not really useful. I hope you guys do a pass to either remove or revamp them. If you do just ask us, and i'm sure we can fill a thread with them.

Some of my top annoyances pertain to the vehicle physics and handling.
- When you exit a vehicle as a driver, it'll sometimes just go haywire and start rotating or driving off without you and potentially run you or a teammate over.
- The harasser seems to flip really easily. I've hit negligible bumps and had the whole thing do a torpedo spin and flip over.
- Vehicles also tend to get lodged and "lock" into other vehicles and terrain occasionally.

The ability to set your own squad colours.
Better waypoint system, including the ability to set numbered sequential squad waypoints.

The option to set HUD elements as opaque.
Making squad numbers show up for vehicles on the map.

Various things I've been thinking about lately.
-Remove the ally death icon if the ally can no longer be revived. This way Medics know at a glance who is still revivable. (Totally a word.)
-An option that allows outfit members to place an outfit waypoint. Any member that is given access could set it. (I'd like this one the most.)
-An option to see outfit members on the map/minimap.
-A command cert that allows squad members in your squad to set a waypoint as well. (Not one for each member, just one extra per squad for members of the squad.)
-When players log out, have their character model fade away with some particle effect instead of vanishing. (Just a fun thing.)
-I'd like the double health Nanoweave bug to be fixed. It makes me a sad sniper. D:
-A bug I noticed. If you're scoped and hold tab to bring up the scoreboard, it removes the scope overlay. Makes finding people a bit too easy sometimes. I've had to force myself to stop abusing this with my 12x scope.
And most important of all. The /dance command. We need warpgate rave parties. :3

I love the game but Planetside 2 just feels so CLAUSTROPHOBIC for an MMO at times.
Their is just so much little cover in all continents, people pile on the same cover, unable to go anywhere else because if they try to advance they die.
Inside buildings like Biodome is worst. The small shield door stalemates that happen are just awful.
The facilities are really small overall for the ammount of players, more openess with better designs to flank instead will be great...Right now it just caters to who has the more players pushing doorway.
I mean the typical tower facility feels as small as a Call of duty map.
I love the game however, and this isn't a problem always.
What is important to have is MORE LOADOUTS.
I am quite fed up of having only 3 loadouts and having to change my weapons or secondary turrets always.
If I use 5 different weapons on my class, I need to change loadouts when playing and it is not funny.
Same for vehicles, All the time I need to change the secondary turret, so also on vehicles we need additional loadouts.
At least 2 or 3 more.

Make them mine minerals around the map or something to start out. Just something to add more depth to the game. Once the ANT makes a return you can tweak the game around it.
The game in its current form lacks a lot of depth and meaning. I believe the introduction of the ant followed by certain bases giving benefits "Tech allows for MBT and Rocket Pods for aircraft other than pulled in sanc". scenario. It will put more emphasis on bases actually meaning something. After this you can add ways to drain bases so that the enemy can capture neutral bases behind enemy lines without a link.
Have a problem look to the original for the solution. All the ground works already done take the lattice for example. I really hope that over the next year or so allot of the stuff from the original can make a return, if not exactly the same at least a similar or better version of it. No need to re-invent the wheel.

#1 - infiltrator cloak effect does not engage if cloak is activated too fast after exiting a vehicle or drop pod. It might show for enemy, but it doesn't for me.
#2 - infiltrator decloaks during reload sometimes
#3 - bugged members in outfit list, psuniverse and PS official outfit stats report phantom members that do not exist when in game

For me the biggest gripe with the game currently is simply how easily you can be shut out of playing your favorite units if you enjoy vehicles, be it because your faction is doing badly and you can't get resources or because the enemy has infantry organized in such a way that vehicles have no sway on the battlefield at all anymore.
That's what's ruining my fun most of the time because I simply enjoy the vehicle game more than the infantry game and currently it feels like the game drags you kicking and screaming back to playing infantry.
If anything could be done to make the game a bit more harmonious between the weapon groups I'd really love it. To me the most appealing thing about Planetside is the idea that I could log in and say "Tonight I want to drive a tank" or "Tonight I want to pilot a gunship" and do that, and get a solid experience of playing a tank game or a flying game all at the same time as other people get a full experience of playing their favorite unit. That just isn't working as long as you get put in the infantry timeout corner the second you start having too much fun.

When re-equipping at a terminal as a MAX, MAX should be the selected class. Too often the terminal presents a random class (LA?) that can cause an unwarranted class change and timer reset.
Continents that are not square. It's getting really old. And for the record, three does not divide evenly into four when positioning warpgates.
Region say, 100% reliable. I use it rarely, yet when I do it simply doesn't work. I can rely on it to be unreliable.
Bring back Jammer Grenades to deter tanks.
Separate tab for kill feed. We have to wait for GU10 for something as simple as this?

Some of my own, plus my favourites of the ones so far:
Bugs
Since GU08 blips no longer show on the mini-map most of the time.
Need a fix for ADAD spamming making people warp/become extremely hard to hit.
Partial loadout resets after visiting VR.
When hacked terminals/turrets are destroyed they sometimes become stuck and can't be fixed or hacked by the base's owner.
When parked at an ammo tower, the 'getting ammo' sound doesn't play for the driver any more when gunner weapons are resupplying.
When resupplying as a MAX, sometimes the terminal opens on LA instead of MAX - which can cause you to accidentally switch class and lose your MAX suit if you hit 'resupply' before you notice.
One of the Engineer's arms clips through his body when holding the repair tool at rest.
Quality of Life
Add more loadouts/make loadouts faster to select (buttons or keyboard shortcuts instead of drop-downs).
Show vehicle facing to gunners and all turret facings to drivers. Also show ammo count for all weapons to drivers.
After dying as a MAX, reset to last used class/loadout instead of always to LA.
On the kill-screen, show a quick summary of the enemy's loadout (suit slots, etc. and also weapon attachments) instead of just their weapon. Would help with those "how did he make that shot!?" / "why didn't he die!?" moments - also useful to spot which upgrades are most used/most useful.
Display suit slots as visual changes to the model, similar to armour upgrades on vehicles.
Apply a "booming voice"/loudspeaker filter to MAX voices. Also give them a distinctive icon on the mini-map.
Allow gifting of SC/items/subs to other players. Also consider a system like Steam's 'inventory' - whereby if you buy an item twice (once on its own, once in a bundle, for example) you end up with an extra copy that you can give to a friend.
When accessing a Sunderer with E, divide 'access terminal' and 'enter vehicle' into clearer zones to prevent doing the wrong one accidentally. Currently it is *extremely* easy to get the wrong one, which is often fatal.
Exit scope automatically when weapon's clip is empty and/or a new round needs to be chambered.
Show squad numbers on vehicles in the map.
Only show death icons over corpses that can be revived. When waiting to respawn/be revived give the dead player an indicator of whether they are still a valid revive target or not.

If I could ask for just one quality of life addition:
Allow squad leaders to reorder the players in the squad list!
This would be immensely helpful when a squad leader needs to break the squad into smaller groups for different objectives, ensure that each group has the right composition of classes, and make it easier to call on that smaller group. (It's easier to say "Alpha 9 through 12 go to X," rather than "I want alpha 9 to go to X, alpha 5 you're a medic so go with him, take alpha 3 because she's engineer, and bring alpha 8 for backup.")
It is an absolute chore right now to order a squad how you want it: you either hope that everyone you send a squad invite to accepts in the exact order you invited them in; or you need to be the platoon leader, drag-and-drop people into other squads, then move them back into your squad until you (hopefully) get the order you want. Giving squad leaders the ability to drag-and-drop within their own squad, or even having "up" and "down" buttons next to a player's name in the squad menu that will move them up and down the ranks would work.

Let's see.
-When redeploying you can pick and customize a class loadout. Have the game pick the last loadout that you selected to customize. Too many times have I changed a loadout before redeploying just to have me spawn in as the first loadout instead of the loadout that I was making changes to before deploying. (LOADOUT 01 instead of LOADOUT 02 as an example. LOADOUT 02 having been the one I wanted to spawn in as)
-Have the game remember weapon the configuration you last used. So that when you switch between weapons in a loadout you don't have to re-equip your attachments every time. (For example if I switch from my TAR to my TRV and then back again to my TAR, have the game remember which attachments I put on the TAR before switching to the TRV)
-Don't switch the default class over to the LA, ever. Always have it switch over to the last class that I used before redeploying. I don't remember all the instances that makes this happen, but redeploying as a MAX does this.
-Put the MBT equipable armour into one cert.
-Quick keys for choosing class loadouts.
-The toggle zoom needs to be changed. As soon as you reload it should not put you into ADS mode again. Any action not relating to firing your weapon should cancel the ADS. It's especially frustrating since after reloading I slow down because of the movement penalty while ADS'ing, which has meant my death on numerous occasions.
-Allow players to toggle locked camo on or off when selecting camo for their weapons, vehicles etc. via the drop down menu.
-Better physics for tracked vehicles. They slide far too easily.
-Switching from the underslug grenade launcher back to your primary seems to be unresponsive at times.
-Make it far more intuitive for players to deploy ammo via the ACE tool. Removing the ammo box as an equipable item and instead binding it to its own key, or the special ability key would work better.
-Unresponsive loadout terminals. I take it that this has to do with the amount of players currently inside the loadout screen, or somesuch. It can take quite a while before you're able to access the loadout screen.
-Show friendly mines on minimap and allow for easier identification on the HUD. Far too often friendly players have to shoote at mines in order to tell if they are friendly or hostile.
-Make decals show up on composite armor. Also the Fleet Plating on the Prowler covers up the decal. Decal placement needs work, especially on a MAX.

- Getting my vehicle stuck on terrain is annoying as hell. Common ones are driving over a rock causing my tank treads to not touch the ground so I just hang there, mere centimeters off the ground with the rock poking into the underside or when my tank goes over a hill and there's another hill on the immediate side forming a sort of wave effect, the front and back of the tank gets stuck on the hillsides and your treads don't touch the ground. Both happen a lot on Indar.
- You said it back in beta, but when will we be able to modify (if not create our own) cross hairs/reticules. I learned from other first person shooters that I can hit stuff a lot easier with a hollow circle (like the rotary cannon on the ESF's) than with the red dots or + that we have now.
- I really liked what someone said earlier about EMP grenades, along with the effects they currently have, also draining the energy of the classes special ability. I would also like to add that I wish they would do what they did in PS1 where hitting a vehicle with one disables the vehicles ability to fire for a short time. Both would do wonders towards improve the Infiltrators role.
- More underground areas for infantry to fight in away from the spam of vehicles! Even if it only goes under ground for 20 feet and then comes back up beneath a larger structure, it's still something different.

-I'm a bad pilot so after I landed my Reaver on a pad I fell to death after exiting it. why is the exit point behind engine and wing? just put it next to cockpit
-a possibility to shut of support xp message or move it on the hud, I stopped shooting several times in a fight cause it popped up and I thought the guy was dead
-speaking of support xp, give support xp when your mines or c4 are blown up by another Player and kill something

Now that I think about it, you are probably better of using a vehicle with stealth and park it behind rocks than to use infantry and hide between rocks.

1. Tank rounds, a2a missiles, knife swings often do no damage. (This needs major priority, tanks rounds and a2a missiles can't afford to miss let alone not register actual hits. Bug with reload certs? Knifing too quickly?)

17. Any chance on making reloads cancel if a player jumps/bunnyhops? Light assault perk?
18. Spawn point selection needs to be locked in until the player selects a different one or it becomes unavailable.
19. Please allow squad/platoon members to make a waypoint viewable by the other members. Trying to direct squad members to enemy locations can get frustrating if you aren't the leader.
20. Have a PS1 loadout page. Rather than clicking a class and then making a dropdown loadout selection I would much rather have a list of 10 or so loadouts that I can double click to select and exit the menu in 1 step to get back to the fight.
21. The magrider needs to be looked at in regards to mowing friendlies and getting flipped. I've had outfit mates flip each other's magrider, and both of them said they were in front, the other was behind them and flipped them. Surely one specific tank was in front of the other. User clients trying to reconcile who's where without much correction from the server? I'd give up all infantry ramming damage on my magrider if it meant that I didn't have to babysit infantry that don't understand why sidewalks exist or want to high five my magrider.
22. Don't allow any friendly damage to take a vehicle below 25%? health, 50%? health for sundies. Still give grief points. There are issues with player alts teamkilling sundies or annoying tanks because they can't destroy it from their own empire. Even normal allies just wanting to deploy their own sundie. I shoot ALL tank mines as well, in my experience I'm more likely to be killed by enemy splash damage triggering the friendly mines I'm driving over rather than being killed or even damaged by enemy mines. Also as mainly a tank driver, mines are slightly too easy to see, I use mineguard, but it almost doesn't seem worth the defense slot these days.
23. Please improve/shuffle the sunderer customization slots. An ammo sundie that spawns infantry ready to be ran over is not very good. I would much rather see an ammo & repair sundie that is strictly a vehicle support unit that needs to deploy or a squad spawn only AMS shield buster with less armor that crashes parties. Also the ammo dispenser seems a poor choice compared to the blockade armor or mineguard and ammo sundies are almost extinct because of it. I think there is some XP issues for the sundie driver as well.(No XP for resupplying non squad/platoon members after a while/times out? Something like that last I heard.)
24. Having 1 tech on Esamir is "tactical" but it does limit the enjoyment of two thirds of the game's tank drivers (libs fly fast enough). Is there any chance on getting a second tech plant? I'm not asking for each empire to have one adjacent to their warpgate, but a second one might improve the continent and keep it asymmetrical. Indar is the most popular(fun) because it doesn't have serious tech(Esamir) or topology(Amerish) limitations. Variety is good, continent wide limitations not so much.

I would like an alternative grenade button where you can set the sthrength of the throw by holding the button, filling up a sthrength meter!
The most annoying thing for me as a medic right now is to not be able to decide how far I want to throw my healing/revive grenade. It is really hard to throw a grenade at friendlies that are close to you when you automatically throw with full sthrength. The grenade bounces oxygen away and you have wasted precious resources! I all the old Bf games you Hade the option to hold a button to increase a bar of how far you wanted to grow the grenade. If you just clicked the button quick you would just drop the grenade, the longer you held the further you thew it etc. Or you could just click normal and throw it as far as possible.

the "b"-thing is odd and to drop them in busy areas can be a hassle.
Make Ammopacks either drop like mines do or preferably make "Ammosupply" the engiskill analog to medicskill (using f-key) giving anyone around the engy ammo.

reduce time: from anywhere to wg (fast)
increase time: from wg to anywhere (time depending on distance to wg)

- remove maneuverability, when not jumping out of a galaxy
- remove spin
Bugs
Fix the bug where you have the waterdrops-graphics on your screen. mostly when encountering scythes.
Fix the not retracting feet of esf and lib.
Fix the cloaking bug where you are cloaked but not get the gfx.
When you have an Underbarrel-Weapon using mousewheel up, sometimes does not change to the primary
Fix phantomdamage. sometimes vehicles lose constantly health without a damagesource.
An ammo-supply aura as an F ability for Engineers is an interesting concept.
I'd suggest moving the current ammo pack into a new 'special ability' slot (so pressing F drops an ammo pack) and add an ammo-supply aura ability as an alternative that you can cert into. To avoid confusion/overlap remove the ammo pack from the ACE-tool (i.e. select turret and press B).
Good point about phantom vehicle/turret damage - this is very annoying.
An an aside it would be really useful to know what killed your vehicle, even if you're not in it at the time - especially handy for deployed Sunderers.

Great point about friend markers - if it draws the unit, it should draw the marker.
Optics for MAXs would also be a great addition.

Quality of Life
-Allow outfits to create an in-game page advertising themselves. Also, allow outfits to add tags to that profile (e.g. 'Mature', 'Casual', 'TS3 required', etc.)
-Add small rewards for reaching BR milestones - e.g. a special decal (not a rank one), small armour changes
-Add armour fom alpha screenshots (or similar) to the store. In fact, just add more armours. We have about 100 helmets and about 7 armours
-Reduce the respawn time for facilities. The timer should be shorter than a Sunderer, to give the defenders an advantage. Surely a big facility has more advanced tech then a mobile unit?
Bugs
-On logging on, the terminals, players, etc. take a long time to load. When terminals do load, interacting with them will simply produce a blank screen.
-Triple/double loading screen
-When logging in, occasionally the bar gets stuck at 34%, then the loading bar itself rapidly fills repeatedly.

QoL - the base capture/defence ribbons all have the same image. Even the same thing in different colours would be good (maybe different colours for small base/med base/facility, with a shield/sword for defence/attack respectively)

bugs:
in big battles most of the time it is impossible to heal or repair. there seems to be a delay of several seconds before the repairing starts, and most of the time the "victim" rund away before the repairing/healing kicks in, or he is already repaired by someone else

Please make an option to break "Zoom Toggle" after reloading or switching weapon.
Let me explain:
For aiming down sights, I play with "Zoom Toggle" ticked on in the Settings because I can aim better without any button pressed on the mouse.
However, when I'm out of ammo or reloading the weapon while aiming down sights, it drops out of the cross-hair view. This is usually the time to take cover or run away. But just when I'm about to run, it automatically changes back into cross-hair mode, slowing me down, and I now have to manually get out of cross-hair again.
You don't have to change the current behavior, just make an option to break zoom toggle when reloading or weapon swap.

1. Voice call outs. The current system of v1, v2 etc is hard to use quickly. Please return to vve, vvh, vvw, vdg etc.
2. Behind the lines base wrecking for the purpose of farming XP. PLease reduce xp gain for killing gens and turrets to something small e.g. 20xp. Base wrecking behind the lines ios becoming an epidemic and while I enjoy the xp from doing repairs I don't think it is healthy. But whatever you do don't add in an adjacency requirement, leave the world as open as you can.
(it should be possible to wreck a base 1 pace along the lattice from the base you are currently capturing - not that this would done often but it would be a tactical/strategic play that should remain in game)
3. Something that's just happened to me and I know happens to everyone. I was riding along in an armour column when there was an explosion and I got a message to stop griefing, you know the one. What had happened was a flash has ridden into me and exploded. I never saw him and I had no chance to avoid it. It was probably a 'no fault' tk on both our parts. Please make damage to flashes for collisions less fatal.

- "Unresponsive F Usage". Often when I come out of cloak or something similar and I want to hack a turret the hacking progress doesn't show up although I am already hacking. So sometimes I release the F button and THEN the game shows me that I actually already was hacking and I have to restart.
- Also: most likely related: heal and repair delay. Seems to be the same issue.
- In areas with a lot (like an unusual lot) of players I still tend to get the "no damage bug", where my weapons simply stop doing damage. I think it's client performance related but still very annoying.
- People walking through G2A scope breaking the lock
- Soooo many ditches where Lightnings get stuck. They actually seem to be that wide on purpose. So many have the exact size that a Lightning no longer has traction. If I would get a penny for every time I managed to get a Lightning stuck somewhere...
- Since the last update I am experiencing more crashes. All during either loading screens and when opening the map/loadout screen.
- More loadout slots. And please don't charge for them. We already give you money for all the fancy stuff in the first place, it would be a dickish move to make us pay to use them comfortably. Charging twice that would be.
- Redeploy versus /suicide. The later is waaaaay more effective to redeploy.
- Choosing a different spawn location. Sometimes I can spawn in a facility on the other end of the map, but not a spawn room one or two hexes away. If there is a logic behind that, it has to be explained better.
- Real shared kill xp. Not "winner takes it all".
- Add a delay to switching vehicle seats. No more single piloted Galaxies and Libs.
- Make pilots being unable to bail without ejection seat and when not hoving stationary above ground (or add full kill xp when they bail)
- Better shared vehicle xp
- Giving outfits an option to share xp between squads/platoons. Sometimes some squads have less rewarding (xp wise) but maybe even more important jobs then others. Especially platoon leaders get almost no xp when coordinating.
We work as a team so give us the option to share the rewards.

*healing tool should give more overall xp
*healing tool should be able to overheal, giving people more temporary max health
*triage on the medic should instead of being inside the vehicle, be a percentage heal surrounding the vehicle. If you upgrade it, it should increase in healing rate, and healing radius. The closer you are, the more healing you get. (Maybe on a sunderer only)
*flashes should have an ammo pack in the backseat by default. Giving out ammo for infantry in a radius of maybe medium upgraded ammo pack.

- Enemies don't show up on the map when they shoot
- Sometimes your weapon just loses the power to do damage for a burst or few (hard one, since I have no idea how to reproduce it. Happens randomly, doesn't feel like lag though)
Quality of life:
- Flash should be better to drive, sometimes it feels like you're on ice, even with the scrapper lvl 3
- Those scope fixes (too big red dot) can't come fast enough. At the moment I'm limited to only use hsnv even in situations where I don't want to use it
- Server and client performance could always be better

Lighting, prowler, vanguard reverse bug (its still there).
The "its not rendering so i take massive damage" bug. Affects engineer turrets, phoenix, libs, lockon missiles.
The "its not rendering" bug - Lockons, Av turret, phoenix, Libs.
The "its rendering in the wrong place" bug. Affects phoenixes.
The ability to see compass direction when in large radar mode.
All Ammo counts on vehicle hud. (you spend ages and dev resources on fancy 3D huds but dont show one of the most important pieces of info).
Updates to the store/inventory system when displaying bundles so we can see what vehicle the included weapons are for.
It would be nice if the harraser gunner wasnt able to shoot the rumble seat person.
It would be nice if the rumble seat person didnt have view obscured by a gun.
It would be nice if the rumble seat person wasnt able to shoot the crap out of the harraser.
Decals on the rear/front of MBTs, especialy with the latest cosmetic upgrades.
Decals on softies with composite armour.
- Sometimes your weapon just loses the power to do damage for a burst or few, only been happing since the harraser patch and only "seems" to affect when zoomed in. Ive also had it where the rate of fire just slows down for a random reason.
Better shared XP. For example I can keep a harraser alive for an hour. I love driving it and the 3 of us have great fun however Im on 6k xp an hour and the gunners on 25k .
Different sensitivity settings for vehicles and launchers/engi turrets.

Greater Outfit support (and more)
Outfits are such an important part of Planetside 2, but the support they have in-game is rather lacking. Right now the updates for outfits on the roadmap are superficial and don't address any real issues faced by outfits. Here are some key elements I would love to see implemented:
- Make "outfit" an entire button on the menu UI, not just a tab on the "social" button. This should open it up for greater support.
- Let us have a large message area. Allow us to post rules of the outfit within the outfit page, or at least relay messages larger than 300 characters.
- Outfit calendar. This would allow for planning of Ops/trainings in advance without needing an external means of communication.
- More ranks available. My outfit is trying to have specialized divisions within the outfit, it would be nice to be able to see who is in what division based on outfit rank.
- Make the outfit message of the day pop up upon logging in. What is the point in having a message of the day if it is only visible on the HUD when it is initially changed and then forever hidden on the outfit tab?
- The ability to mass invite the outfit/specific ranks. Maybe even the invite going through if they are already in another squad.
Greater Platoon Control
This is another key area of PS2 that has some rather lackluster support. It is better than what it was before, but still needs much improvement.
- Give Platoon leaders the ability to set each squads waypoint.
- Platoon leaders can move within the Platoon along with giving themselves squad lead. Currently someone is tossed platoon lead but not given squad lead, they are at the mercy of the squad leader to give them squad lead.
- Vote to change platoon lead. This could have a set time between initiation (only one vote in a 15 minute period), and should require a majority of the platoon voting to prevent someone stealing leadership while everyone is busy fighting. This would help diminish the issue of someone who shouldn't have platoon lead holding a platoon hostage because they either do not speak the language of majority in platoon, don't know how to hand off platoon lead to the correct individual, or decide to troll. On that matter...
- Ability to set next in line for platoon lead if platoon lead drops. I would like for a specified squad leader to take over should I get d/c'ed, not worry about who is in the number 2 position.
- Ability to set waypoints/smoke through comrose. Not entirely sure why this isn't already in, but it probably would cut out 1/10th of my deaths as I wouldn't have to bring up my map in order to direct my squad.
- Ability to change squad colors. Biggest issue is Charlie being the empire specific color of Vanu.
Company Formations
Ability to form companies would be a welcome addition. Quite a few outfits either have the numbers to fill up multiple platoons or work closely with a select few other outfits. It would be nice to be able to co-ordinate these platoons better in game without spamming leader chat.
I don't think it should necessarily have an open communication channel. Only squad/platoon leaders within the company talking with each other would be ideal. I also don't think we should necessarily have up to 16 different colors for each squad - each squad could keep their own color within their platoon while company allies are a 5th color.
Random Quality of Life Suggestions
- Split "zoom toggle" between "infantry zoom toggle" and "vehicle zoom toggle".
- Make ammo act like C4. It can be annoying to get ammo set down as it is right now. Making the ammo stick to any surface would be a lot more beneficial. Or just imitate BF3 and make if a wall crushing box. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tm1wDgxVlmg)
- Vehicle weapon stabilization. For a game set in the future, it seems to have taken a few steps back from modern armaments. Every little bump shouldn't toss off my gun's aim, recoil shouldn't be nearly as high (annoying in the Prowler since it requires both shots to hit in order to do comparable damage to the other MBTs), and my gunners have been getting seasick since GU8.
Annoying Bugs
- Landing gears on my mossy.
- Right now if a scythe shoots me/I shoot it while in my mossy, I get flashes of a white and black speckled screen (doesn't happen all the time though). Unless this is SOEs attempt to nerf air by giving pilots seizures, I really hope this is gone soon.
- In-game voice. Some days I sound crystal clear, other days my outfit can't understand what I am saying with no change of settings on my part. Other members will go from loud to quiet or vice versa on a day to day basis.

like when you type something like /ps it will then keep that /ps as default when saying, this happens sometimes with /sq but usually bugs and doesn't keep the chat you've set, i'm really tired of switching chat tabs, i use it a lot and it's painful, and the ability to write while moving, if the vehicle is in autorun or if you're sprinting with the autorunkey i would love to be able to open the chat and write, saves time
2) as stated by many of you, loadout numbers (1,2,3) rather than the pull-down list
3) i would love to see this implemented in the ui for MBTs gunners

5) a button "don't dye this item" to check, this because the very same day you've put the fast camo switch in-game (which i was so happy about!) i bought the Black Commssioner and since then i have to manually remove the Camo from each loadout once i fast switch camo :( :(

When I go to a terminal to re-equip my MAX for a different duty, say changing from Bursters to Scattercannons because "A" is flashing, the default is often set back to LA instead of MAX, I think always after the MAX deployment timer has timed out.
I often don't notice this in the heat of the moment and unintentionally pull LA; costs 100 resources to re-equip as a MAX and more importantly the MAX cooldown timer is reset.

I would like the ability to type in some chat whilst I am waiting to respawn. This is a good time to warn people that there is an LA on the roof; whatever. Or even to congratulate my killer.

And as others have posted, please make dropping ammo easier for an Engineer. Binding to "F" seems like a good idea. And make the mechanics the same as deploying C4.

Bugs:
Oh, yesterday I experienced the ammo boxes not resupplying underbarrel grenade launcher on TRAC5-S again. I know they increased the reload time from them but it did not replenish at all. After trying several boxes and switching classes away and back again.
QOL:
-Hacksaw MAXes with no kinetic armour still beat Fracture MAXes if a fight starts at around 30 feet. Including a full duration reload time for the NC MAX.
-It would be nice to be able to "bind" to a base like you could in PS1.
-No instant logout
-No instant character switch, the 12hour timer between faction hopping in PS1 was very useful for a reason.
-No bail on a very damaged ESF, as in PS1.
-Deployed sunderers showing on map.
-Visible rank/purchased/special decals on custom armour (like composite etc)
-Loadouts selectable by numbers rather than clicking. ie: run to a terminal = E, 1, 1 (For Light Assault loadout 1).
-Harrasser noise less annoying
-Purple squad is confusing with VS around
-Leopard print camo, with empire themes rather than another giraffe camo debacle.

Quality of life:
Minimap - this is a big pet hate for me it needs to be sorted out to spare my poor nerves
1: Scaling and zooming - There is so much clutter around bases/facilities/outposts/towers during fights it can be impossible to see what's going on, you need to be able to zoom in at will so you can see or find that enemy dots hiding in the sea of blue (or whatever colour you use).
2: pressing H to make the minimal bigger - why doesn't the rest of the UI scale with it,

FPS and latency lag issues need to be fixed. Granted, I play on a laptop, but a lot of my fellow gamers play on top-of-the-line gaming rigs and are constantly upgrading them. Not only do I have the latency lag and random fps isues, but they do as well. I will explain in greater detail later.
Edit: I used to be able to play on full-on High Graphics Settings right after GU01 and GU02 at right around 50-60 FPS. After GU03, my FPS dropped all the way down to 5 FPS. WTF?!? And now I have to play on "Very Low" settings in order to get even 15-30 fps. and that's just driving around randomly! I get the same in big fights, but still, I miss my old High Graphics settings...

In a recent patch the G40-F Ranger had the Cone of Fire increased to 1.25. Reduce this back to 1. You can't hit a ESF/Dalton lib attacking you from range while hovering.

Remove Redeploy and change it to Recall to Warpgate. People are quickly realizing they don't need to travel as they can redeploy to the next fight instead. I miss big tank battles :(

Instead of a drop down menu for loadouts, turn it into 3 buttons we can press that selects the loadout, and resupplies.
Please, separate the cosmetics so we can apply wing tips and lumi, antenna, underglow and rims instead of having to pick between them.

well, making the cert prices more fair would be nice. 1000 certs for something that does only 5% more protection in the last upgrade for something is stupid. same as C4's, why don't you make it 250 each instead of 250 and then 500? makes no sense. 250 is quite allot to work up to as a F2P.

Adding new vehicles is a big job, so doesn't really qualify as a quick-fix QoL issue - but that said I would *love* to see more NS vehicles get ES weapon options once the Harasser has them.
Sundy with PPAs maybe? Some kind of new plasma gun turret for the Lightning? :)
(although you might want to buff the PPA while you're at it... don't see many people using it these days...)
ES cosmetic items for NS vehicles would also be cool, or ES side-grades that alter their appearance a little (along the lines of current armour upgrades)?

After GU09 finishes up we're going to be focusing most of the team on a Game Update that's largely going to be player requested enhancements to "quality of life" and bug fixes.
By quality of life I just mean things that make the game better but aren't necessarily broken right now, for example the, "quick camo" we added to the loadout screen would be a quality of life enhancement.
So, what do ya got? Theres a thread on the official forums already but I wanted to come straight to you guys and see what you thought too.
Can't promise we'll get to everything, and we already have a pretty big list to work on, but I want to be sure we try to hit the biggest gripes and irritations coming out of this community as well!

Make squads/outfits more important. This game doesn't require organization, it doesn't promote organization, and to be honest from a progression standpoint grouping with other players hinders you. I'm not saying increase the rewards for playing in a squad/platoon, but give them more purpose by making it near impossible to do things solo. The game would be a massive change in quality of play IMO by making spawning at Sunderers platoon/outfit only and give Galaxy's AMS by squad only. As someone who spent 99.9% of his playtime solo/duo, please make the game more concentric around the outfit/squad/platoon.
Increase XP for Pilots in all non-solo vehicles, decrease XP for Liberator cannon turret and MBT main turret kills.
More preset voice commands. Tribes: Ascend did them wonderfully, having too many doesn't hurt anything.
**NUMBER ONE QUALITY OF LIFE ISSUE**
Fix the damn population issues for low populated factions on servers. Increased XP percentage is clearly a failed incentive to get people to play on a low populated faction. It's incredibly unfair and not balanced to be so horribly outnumbered every day on Waterson as VS, for once give the ridiculously underpopulated factions an advantage over the ridiculously overpopulated factions. Other games have done this in the past and it works. It may suck that your faction is so overly populated that you get put at a disadvantage(In terms of damage/HP/armor/fire rate/resources/move speed), but welcome to the life of playing as the underpopulated faction, who gets to play on one continent a day with relatively even numbers, for the past 6 months. SIX MONTHS HIGBY! Stop pushing us aside!

A way to keep track of sqaudmates in aircraft would be nice.
Perhaps be able to mark thme so that they are in brackets when in ine of sight and have arrows with their number on the sides of the screen when thwey are not. Maybe add something similar for tracking spoted enemy aircraft.
Perhaps link enemy tracking to the ESF scout radars and have it also transmit to nearby platoon mates.

1. Linkable platoons (In TE we run at least 2 platoons a night, and we have to have squads use offensive requests and that to mark enemy sundies).
2. Squad waypoints be the same color as the squad, as well as seeable by everyone in the platoon.
3. 0 respawn timer after redeploy, not double the time of when you die...
4. Fix the bug where sometimes it wouldn't let you squad deploy/IA right after the 2/3 minute timer of when you previously used it.
5. Separate Squad deploy and Instant action timers.
6. Fix the landing gear bug for mossies when pulling from places outside of WG.
7. Give the Annihilator a little scoot along its effectiveness. I feel like being a TR, the Striker makes the annihilator completely obsolete, filling its role in every way but better. I'm not sure what advantage it has over the striker... maybe projectile velocity? That doesn't make too much of a difference.
8. An option to go back to the old color scheme. On the topic of colors, though this has been said, customizable platoon colors would be nice.
9. Fix the hacking turret thing with render distance where the enemy kills you before you render them. Very irritating.
10. Fix that "Opposite texture bug with of the flicker bug" thing. There is a bug that fills your screen with textures and to fix it I have to go into my settings and change my screen "fitting" (?), as in changing full screen mode to windowed to fix it. Very time consuming and occasionally crashes my game.
11. Actually FIX performance in this GU, unlike making it go to the shitter like the last 4.
That is all of my current complaints, I bet I'll figure out more during the day.

I have to say no to this. The game has low enough playerbase already. And there are a lot benefits to play with a squad or outfit. If you run with a squad, you'll have ammo/repair, healing/reviving and the ability to fight against maxes and vehicles. If you're alone, you'll have to make a choice what to do. I'm a solo player, I like to have ammo, so I'm engineer. Against maxes, no chance. Against vehicles, no real chance. No healing or reviving unless there's a medic nearby etc. And no supporting fire, so I have to kill everyone myself or I die. I like it this way, but it is very underpowered compared to running with a squad that plays together with voip and all.

Fighting Scythe's in my Mosquito head on and getting what looks like a "windshield splattered with ink" bug. As soon as the Scythe comes directly in front of you for a nosegun to nosegun battle, your entire screen blacks out. This issue also occurs in Liberators when fighting an incoming Scythe in a similar fashion.

A cool idea for outfit management (particularly for larger outfits). Have the ability to create divisions in the UI. This way if for instance an outfit has a dedicated airforce or specops division, they can see exactly who is online from that division. If possible, even have the option to create a sub-tag for them or some other way to differentiate them.

Underbarrel (Smoke)Grenade Launchers should be moved off the '2' key and given their own fire mode toggle.
I've shot too many friendly MAXs in the back, and given away too many free kills by pulling a smoke launcher when I wanted to pull a Beamer.
Most of my responses related to managing the outfit and platoons.
Outfits : additional ranks (associated with permissions)
Players : Messaging! Please give us the ability to message players in-game and send messages to friends/outfit/officers etc
Chat : Filters. I don't want to see 'you killed X' in /leader. I want just /leader in /leader. Options per channel.
Chat : 'Combined channel tabs'. I am quite happy to have platoon, squad and outfit chat in the same window .. but I cant join them up.
Chat : Moveable. Minimise.
Chat : Modal. Let me split a tab from the rest and display in addition.
Chat : Toggled/Visible on the Map screen. Useable if not dead.
Command : allies. I'd like to add whole outfits to a list of 'allies' that I can then toggle my squads open to.
Command : Map drawing. Freehand lines. Some basic shapes. A Text tool. Platoon and Alpha through Delta symbols.
(Symbols would be rotatable and can have an arrow dragged out of them free hand)
Command : outfit leadership : platoon waypoints for outfit squads can be made visible to outfit ranks
Terrain : tracked tanks get stuck in a dip.
Loadouts : Exclude camo option. I set my camoflage globally - then go back to a couple of classes (Infiltrator) and set for that class. I'd like to 'exclude from camo selector'.
Consumables auto-purchase: i'd like to put them in a priority order and when over 400 infantry resources purchase them in that order until maxed out.

-Engineer ammo pack should work like the ammo packs in BF3 where they can be "tossed" and not "placed"

-Drawing on the map that shows up on the main map and mini map. This will help drivers plot a course and follow it without having to open up the main map all the time.
-Bringing up the map while autodrive is enabled does not disable autodrive

1. The lib crew should share the exp evenly, right now the maingunner gets way more exp.
2. When gunning a liberator make it so it shows where you are aiming compared to your lib.
3. Add kill assits so it shows on the leaderboard. I want the leaderboard and stats to show if i have generated 2000 killassits in my lib for an example. Right now if you look at the leaderboard you will never see whos a real good driver/pilot.

Fix the FPS please!!! I love this game but geting 15 FPS in huge fights is just no fun. I have a good machine and have no issues in other games. I go from 100 to 15 FPS in this game! I don't want hats or camos. Fix the performance issues first.

Some HUD changes for the vehicles is the first thing that comes to mind.
I would love to be able to see which direction my gunners are facing and which direction my turret is facing on the health icon of the vehicle. I would also like to know how much ammo each of my gunners has left.
Right now using a vehicle with people is a bit annoying because of this. I also can't imagine it's a very difficult thing to add to the game.
Hotkeys for classes and loadouts would be fantastic as well as a button for each loadout of a class instead of a dropdown.
The IFF range on tank mines is way too low. Increase it by quite a bit. I'm sick of shooting my faction's mines while in a tank because I have to be right on top of them before I see if they are friendly or not.
Remove the damage that debris inflicts upon vehicles. I blew up a sunderer once and a chunk of the debris landed on my lighting and it exploded and gave me a suicide. Very annoying.

1. Expanded minimap should still display location, cap locations and timers etc, rather than be hidden
2. Other platoon squad members should be listed at the bottom, alongside your own squad (pref toggleable for those who don't want it).
3. Gunner direction indicators in all vehicles with gunners so other vehicle crew (esp pilot) and the gunner himself can see where they're looking in relation to the vehicle direction
4. Customizable squad colours

Drop down menu for loadouts, turn it into 3 buttons we can press that selects the loadout, and resupplies.
Option to turn off Outfit members logging on/off (just like Friends)
Auto Supply for Grenades/Mines/Restoration Kits. Working not just at empty.
Not getting run over from a gentle bump from Magriders/Lightnings/Tanks moving around.
No indication if your mines are still planted or have been destroyed.
Low FOV for tanks

I just had the most brilliant idea: Have little icons of what vehicle squadmates are in, like the icons we see at vehicle terminals. If that person is in the driver seat, give them a little steering wheel.
This would allow for PUG squad leaders to better see if everyone is on the job, who lost their vehicle, etc.

Run animation made slower and more weighty and closer to the beta/alpha variant - not a fan of the floaty feel while sprinting/running (possibly require a small tweak in speed of sprint as well?).

Biggest one for me though is HUD enhancements:
Icons - better icons for faction team and spotted enemies; again preffered the alpha and beta icons that are still in the game asset files; makes recognition more defined (obviously scaling to not be interface intrusive).

More customization of the HUD: icon placement / location / size - being able to disable icons. I would REALLY like to see the ability for community created HUDs like what is done with EQ2 etc. there are whole communities around interface design. I don't see how these can be "cheats" or even read as by the system seeing as they're .dds and .xml based(?) and the devs don't need to support them as the authors will update the version with each GU as applicable. If they don't allow this for whatever unfathomable reason then additional layouts and options need to be added for personal tastes e.g I like having objectives/waypoints just on my compass waypoint at the top of my screen I don't need them always on display distracting my view and immersion.
Squad colour palette can be set by squad leaders and/or platoon leaders.
Comprehensive intuitive voice macros from the v key.
They're my main quality of life ones at the moment.

I understand that you'd rather us use the ingame voice (which isn't as bad as people make it out to be), but VGS is way more efficient, less annoying, and would make A LOT of people happy. Hell I'm sure you can find more than a few people within the Planetside community that would be willing to record some voice samples free of charge to assist with this.
Additionally, there needs to be a squad mechanic that encourages squads to stay together. Kind of like if players are within X amount of distance XP is either boosted or you get a small amount of XP for sticking near your squad/squad leader.

Not sure if this falls into one of these categories, but is there a reason why MAXes seem to have an easier time seeing Infiltrators? I know that sounds really subjective, but I've got 136 hours as CQC Infil and never have stealthed past a MAX. I have heard many other SMG Infil players say the same thing; so I'm just curious if something innately may be causing this or if I'm crazy. If not crazy, please fix! <3

Can you fix the grenade physics? I'll have times where I throw it at an open door and it'll bounce back. Also, can we have sticky AV grenades? Finally, can the Jackhammer get a balancing pass? Maybe increase the ROF on its burst fire mode.
Edit: Mine HUD indicator. Something that lets us see the status of our mines. Undetonated/detonated would be awesome. I'm never sure if my mines are still extant or not.

An additional "lock" next to friendly vehicle icons if they're platoon/solo locked so you don't waste your time running at the wrong Sunderers as a MAX (or any other class for that matter).
Toggle Zoom needs to be cancelled by sprinting or reloading. Currently it returns to ADS mode if you lets say hit R to reload and start sprinting away. As soon as the reload has finished it interrupts your sprint and forces you down to ADS mode again, slowing your speed down to a crawl and probably gets you killed...

VOIP.
It still breaks far too often. There's not a day goes by where I don't have to suggest to someone in my Outfit that they toggle VOIP off, wait a few seconds, and then toggle it back on again. Why? They've either stopped hearing a VOIP channel entirely, or can hear it but no-one hears them when they try to use it. Or can hear it but aren't getting the text notifications of activity, so don't know who's speaking.
Also I keep on finding a few people who are a little too quiet. So I go into the options and bump their volume a little, fine. Now I relog (no actual client crash mid-playing, but I note I STILL have the client crashing after hitting 'Exit' after logout) and their volume is back to where it was before. So do these options just not get saved unless the client exits 100% cleanly? Perhaps it's time to track down that 'exit' -> 'the application has encountered an error' crash ?
And on the actual enhancement side of things, can we please get the ability to set a priority order for VOIP channels, not just that 'Squelch other channels' thing (which all too often leaves the other channels' volumes at zero) ? I want to have anything on Platoon override all else, but Squad override the others, and Command override Outfit. Others might want Command > Platoon > Squad > Outfit. Or if running multiple platoons and using Outfit to co-ordinate you might want Outfit > Platoon > Squad > Command.

I don't know if this is a bug or intentional but if you equip the ammo pack for the engineer and you drop your ammo pack on the ground and then switch to your ACE tool and drop an ammo pack from that then the first ammo pack you drop disappears making it pointless to carry an extra ammo pack if you want to be more support focused.

Delay between decloaking and firing controlled by server load/lag
Although somewhat out of scope of a QoL fix, my biggest pet peeve is the delay between hitting your decloak button and being able to fire is controlled solely by server load and lag. When Mattherson has been freshly restarted and under no load, the delay between hitting the 'F' key and being able to fire is around 0.2 seconds. When Mattherson goes under primetime load, that delay can reach upwards of 1.0-1.5 seconds.
Considering I have no feedback from the game to know if I'm able to fire, quite often I line up shots, hold breath, hit the fire button and nothing happens or I get an error noise. I can't even count the number of times I've been killed in situations where I've been unable to defend myself as the game still thinks I'm in stealth, when I'm not.
Other classes aren't affected nearly as much as the Infiltrator when the server starts lagging. It's quite frustrating.
Decals no longer display on female VS infiltrator armor
A change a few game updates back made decals not show up on female VS infiltrators. This happened before the changes to the VS infiltrator suits were made.

It would be nice to have decals show on top of composite armor as well.
Use keyboard to navigate terminals
I'd love the ability to use my keyboard to navigate the infantry, vehicle and air terminals. For example, I walk up to an infantry terminal and use it. I hit F6 to swap to MAX, 2 to select my second loadout and space bar to equip it.
As it is currently, my mouse starts out at the center of the screen, I have to move it to the left side to click on MAX, then move it to the top right of the screen to select my second load out from a drop down box, and then move my mouse all the way over to the left side of the screen again to equip my MAX suit. As we all spend a lot of time at terminals in this game, it tends to get tedious and impossible to do while under fire.

when you use an equipment terminal and then hit the same button that you used to activate should reload you and then close, without hitting a button with the mouse. have a quick option for the class and load outs, so i come up to a terminal and open it, i can hit 1 for my infiltrator, then 3 for my sniper loadout. vehicle terminals should be the same, i activate the terminal hit 1 for mosquito , then 2 for my rocket loadout. at the ammo refill silos for both air and ground vehicles there should be a similar option like the equipment terminals. i pull up to an ammo tower, activate it and use it to change my weapons, camo ect or use a quick options like hit 2 for my fury load out on my harrasser.

You basically have to log out and back in.

No you don't have to log out and back in. You have to shoot at least one round and then press Alt. You can then press the "Accept" button and it will disappear. Press Alt again to get rid of the mouse icon.

I used to be able to play on full-on High Graphics Settings right after GU01 and GU02 at right around 50-60 FPS. After GU03, my FPS dropped all the way down to 5 FPS. WTF?!? And now I have to play on "Very Low" settings in order to get even 15-30 fps. and that's just driving around randomly! I get the same in big fights, but still, I miss my old High Graphics settings...
Just rebumping my suggestion, it's an important one.

- Vehicle weapon stabilization. For a game set in the future, it seems to have taken a few steps back from modern armaments. Every little bump shouldn't toss off my gun's aim, recoil shouldn't be nearly as high (annoying in the Prowler since it requires both shots to hit in order to do comparable damage to the other MBTs), and my gunners have been getting seasick since GU8.
PLEASE, DEAR HIGBY, PLEASE GIVE US THIS
If you are debating the change in skillfulness, give us turret dampening instead of full stabilization. In either case, we should get both turret vertical and horizontal dampening/stabilization.
Also, a few users have pointed out that sometimes when resupplying or switching out weapons for a MAX unit, the terminal sets your default class out as LA which makes you have to spawn the MAX again unless you are expecting this bug. Whenever it happens to me, I can't switch back to my MAX because it's on cooldown. Please fix (save previous louadout choice even when switching classes).

Please PLEASE clean up the mini map, I'm sick and tired of not being able to read a damn thing on it. Can we have toggles on the mini map for base objectives and ammo packs? Seriously ammo packs are the least important thing on the mini map. Go back to the PS1 model that thing gave tons of useful info based on facility radar or mosquito sensors.

My top "quality of life" issue in PS2 is the performance.
I really need to be able to have my system do more on the video card than the CPU. I've done the "ultra" settings tweaks and it made the game look better, but I am still CPU bound and still stuck in 20's for FPS a lot of the time. Any time I'm in a large battle I can expect to get down into single digits.

Something small but very annoying for me (and surely some others):
I am affected by gaming/motion sickness. Having a customizable FoV helps, but that's only a part of the issue. Another is head/bobing shake during movement animations.
I do understand that screen shake is a gameplay element when being hit (etc) but it is not necessarily needed when walking/running. As that's what I am doing most of the time and it tends to give me problems after a while.
It would be very welcome if there would be an option to disable the head bob/shake when walking/running.

2. Not being able to spawn where the fight is. This is a big one for me because I try to do defense, and when I redeploy to defend another facility I often find myself not able to get there. This is because outposts are prioritized over main spawn rooms far too much (I'd rather take a main spawn room over any outpost spawns in most cases). The perfect thing would be to have access to...
>All spawns in zone
>All spawns within 500m of death
>All main spawns in adjacent areas
>3 "Reinforcements needed" spawns that appear in different areas (preferably those owned by YOUR faction so you can defend them) and never, ever focusing on outposts like they do now. Also, unless "reinforcements needed" are the same for everyone across the continent, add a mechanism by which spawns do not get listed twice and a player playing where reinforcements are needed gets an additional spawn option.
This right here is my biggest frustration. When running lone wolf or with a very loosely organized casual squad (often the case late at night), you simply cannot get where you need to go without flying, and gravity is not my friend.
I am SO damn tired of seeing "Reinforcements Needed" completely populated by multiple spawns to the same tech plant, amp station or biolab. Typically, mind you, fights that have both enemy and ally platoons with deployed Sunderers and no need of reinforcements. Meanwhile, a tower base a few regions away has Enemy Platoon/Allies Detected, and no one can spawn at it to defend the tower, even though an ally got there and deployed a Sunderer.
At minimum: 1) Change "Reinforcements Needed" to never display more than one spawn inside a single base's region.
2) Re-extend the distance to which deployed Sunderers show up on the general deployment list. Not to the extent that it used to be, where you could literally deploy all the way across the continent, but several hexes from the present position. Sunderers have greatly reduced longevity compared to months ago, Instant Action won't necessarily even drop you on the same continent, you can't tell where your squad leader is if he's in a vehicle and base capture times are about to be reduced on the live servers. This needs to be done.

Revive bug where you accept a revive but the selection box doesn't go away.
Repair sundy repair holograms are sometimes visible through terrain. (though I'm very happy with the way that repair sundy's have been fixed since launch.)
Would like a turbo fuel indicator on 3rd person HUD of Vehicles. Or all ability gauge indicators really (like IR smoke, time till nanite regen kicks in, time of next fire suppression availability, etc.).
I really think that suit upgrades (like nanoweave, shield cap, flak armour) should be their own thing separate from supply upgrades (like extra magazines, extra exlosives, munitions belt...) when outfitting your character. The barrier to entry is not sufficiently high as to disrupt the 20% power difference that was alluded to pre-beta. A hundred certs would put you up to 10% anyway, since early levels are cheap. With all the ways to get XP in PS2 (a good thing) you won't be down by 20% for very long if you're just starting out.

Weapon stability on vehicles. Since GU08, I feel like I've got Parkinson's sometimes when I jump in the gunner's seat. (I know it's not relevant to GU09, but could we perhaps get a Weapon Stabilizer cert chain for vehicle weapons sometime in the future?)
Some method of instantly entering a squadmate's vehicle when it's spawned would be great, especially for aircraft. It'd cut down on the vehicle pads turning into parking lots, and you wouldn't have to worry about pubbies flooding into your Sunderer if you've already got a squad waiting to jump in.
I'd like to see the changes to auto-resupply that are up on the Public Test Server implemented.
It'd be cool if the stat display for weapons in the loadout menu reflected the changes in the weapon's performance due to attachments.
Add an "Un-squelch" button in the Voice & Chat menu. Having to manually reset the volume for channels to un-mute them is kind of time-consuming.
Speaking of Voice & Chat menu, it'd be great if any user-created voice channels showed up on their own tab.
Make decals show up on top of Composite Armor if it's equipped. Otherwise nobody can see my awesome Classic Reaper decal. :(

A good improvement for the game would be to buff flashlights. As it stands now, they do nothing but make it easier for people to see you and by extension, kill you. Oh, they also take up valuable space which is better served by other equipment.
A suggestion would be to add IR Flashlights, which are invisible to the naked eye, but greatly enhance the range of an IR scope, at the cost of being visible to any opponents with an IR scope.
Another suggestion would be to add underbarrel flare launchers. This would be very useful to squad or platoon leaders during night ops. They can use it to illuminate the battlefield, showing where the bad guys are. They can use it to direct forces to a particular building or rock, without having to switch to the map to set down smoke markers. It can also be used to get the attention of a friendly galaxy, which might have trouble picking up folks at night. Best of all, you can fire them into the air after capping a base, giving a little fireworks show.
If the ability to have fireworks at the end of a base cap isn't a quality of life improvement, I don't know what is.

1. I would like a tick box in settings to hide death count and KDR on a session by session basis. If people want it displayed they can, if they hate looking at it they can get rid. Free to play, your way. Everyone wins.
2. Drop down favourite loadouts *need* to be hotkeyed
3. /re needs fixing in large populations. Yelling tactics and strategy isn't great.
4. When being revived it would be nice to see the level of the med-tool user. Also Triage should be cheaper.
5. All squad colours need to be customizable. Purple Charlie isn't great.
6. Passive cert on vehicles: time away from driver seat increases before deconstruct.

Spawn rooms (aka: death traps) can be easily camped (applies to almost all spawn rooms). In addition attackers often can easily gain a vantage (aka height) advantage over the defenders, making camping spawns even easier.
To make a long story short: way too often spawn camping wins the fight. Redesign spawn rooms and positions. Again.

Fixing aircraft landing skids glitch where landing skid gets stuck in fixed down position, especially on liberators. Gets annoying having to land randomly to get a skid out of your gunners face.
Stop character from uncrouching when firing phoenix.
Fix reliability of flares against strikers.
3D air radar like one in space sims.
Double flight ceiling for aircraft.
Greatly increase the range at which command smoke renders.
Also, add a vehicle resupply cert for galaxies.

Price reduction on the last levels of certs for, say healing and repairing tools, or suits. Or at least make the last tick give something of much higher value then just one insignificant tick everyone can do without.
EVERY player collidable, no matter friend or foe outside the warpgate. The glitch with enemies walking right through you with a shotgun is rather annoying.
A quick pass over terminal locations. It always eluded me, why we need a terminal inside a tower v-bay, while we can't have one on the level of the CP. That terminal down there is used far more often by enemies rather than friendlies.
Sunderer Proximity Radar distance further than that of a Flash. There's a lot of Sundy drivers that can back me up on the fact that Proxy Radar on the vehicle is by no means a good substitute for AMS or Shield Diffuser.
Bug with Lockon weapons firing blanks fixed.
* Alot of people may say tons of BS about how it's gonna create spam and OMGEVERYNOOBWANTSTOLEAD, but:
a) There're "security drones" that can silence people if somebody starts spamming too much.
b) With the upcoming rush lanes, IT IS IMPERATIVE that you give better coordination tools for solo players, since it is most likely that most of the "backhacks" are going to be met not with giant platoons fighting in a zerg, but by small groups, that are not even necessarily in a squad.
Otherwise it's just gonna end up as if there was no change to the system, just like it happened during the Harasser focus test, when I was pitted alone against a group of 6 without any real means to report it, since nobody was "ordering" for me to see to whom I can realte to. If you consider it to be to radical of a measure, at least give such players "/sitrep" option that delivers messages to anyone who has leadership chat active at the time.
** No need to invent anything here. Just a minimap that shows all aircraft in proximity (at the expense of showing ground units) with up and down arrows next to their icons, relaying whether the vehicle is under or above you and vertical distance dispalyed via the size of the icon. The further up/down it is, the smaller it is.

Start solving all bugs already reported ingame and on the forum (espacially bugs who are still here till Beta - teleport when going outside a vehicule, gall-drop dead, passing through ground, liberator main gun with no 3rd personne view, ... -).
Some color customisations would be usefull for lots off things:
Add color-blind mode OR a fully costomisable color/gray-scale for enemies/base/map/squads.
Would be interesting to add a special color for all members of an outfit (outside of the squad/platoon).
Had the possibility to have more than 4 squads in a platoon or had connected platoons visible on map, will greatly help for tactics.
Re-certification item AND weapon would be usefull cause each new weapon and weapon modification old one could became useless and it's really frustrating.
Return the interdiction area of warpgate on mini-map.
About FOV limitation (speaking about the one we can change ingame), lots of people ask for greater one, other whine cause it's not fear. I understand the two side but a little greater FOV will be appreciate, something like 90-95. Add the possibility to change also vehicule FOV would be great.
BUT the main trouble (which is actually solve with a greater FOV) is distance of view from the back of vehicule in 3rd personne view. It would be interresting to have a customisation distance wich could allow 5-10 more meters (? will be usefull to test) to see what is behind/under you.
For all vehicules:
it will be helpfull to had the nitro/boost/cloak/flare/fire extinguisher/armor visible in 3rd personne view AND see time before return.
When "turning head" in 1st peronne view, don't turn HUD (except if whe can shoot somewhere else than in front of the vehicule.
About aircraft:
greater ceiling altitude, about 1500-2000m, for have a real air-air system.
"real" altitude on the cockpit and in 3rd personne view.
some indicators of near allied vehicules and spotted ennemies ones to avoid collisions (could be like the one in WoWarplane).

Scythe Landing Gear. Because chasing it down is annoying as hell.
Nerf Lib stall orientation (or lack thereof) because putting a tank cannon on a flying tank that can shoot in pretty much any direction was a bad idea.
Harasser Health. A bit too durable for something that's as fast as a flash AND handles more stably.

I've pretty much bought all guns and equipment in the game now - I've got a million possible loadout combinations per class and vehicle. Being limited to just 3 is such a pain. I'd like to have at least 6.
You could just tell me to 'edit loadouts on the fly' but the menus are so fiddly and gun attachments dismount when you swap weapons out. Putting then back on is very time consuming, esspecially in a combat situation.
Giving me more loadout slots will just make the game more enjoyable and make me more interested in buying more weapons in future updates. Right now I won't be buying any more guns since I'll never have a free loadout slot for them :(

Not being able to see player numbers on the map/minimap if they are occupying vehicles. If it's a galaxy or sunderer, display each squad/platoon member number in a circle around the vehicle with the driver in the middle. Possibly have it so that the display blinks backwards and forwards between the vehicle and occupant as an option.
Let me cycle through the loadouts for each class by pressing the button for that class multiple times*. I HATE clicking, dragging the mouse across, clicking the drop down, clicking an option in the drop down moving the mouse again then clicking resupply/spawn when in my mind I'm thinking "If only I could just click Engineer twice to select loadout 2 and move the mouse straight to the resupply/spawn button" the entire time.
*Same for vehicles, also please figure out a way to change loadouts on vehicles after pulling them, even if it requires you to deconstruct the thing at the rearm tower and cause a despawn-respawn for it to happen.
Also let the platoon leader set squad waypoints for each squad, number or colour them appropriately as needed.
Also let me set a personal waypoint by pointing my crosshair at the terrain and press a button (or key combination for different types of waypoint (Like "N 1" would be personal waypoint, "N 2" would be a platoon waypoint, "N 3" for squad 1 waypoint, upwards to 7-0 for smoke)). Sometimes I need to grab a supressed sniper rifle so I can curve my bullet over deployed engineer turrets at range, and to do this I find it necessary to place a waypoint on my target to get the ranging right on my shot.
Oh, and Planetside 1 had this neat thing where the health graphic for your vehicle also displayed the direction the turrets were pointing. Found it ever so useful. I'd be in a deliverer, I'd hear my co-gunner open fire and all I had to do was look at the graphic to see which direction I needed to point my gun at as well.
I want the option to put cert points in to extend the non-occupied lifespan of certain vehicles. I like putting my flash in an out of the way place with radar module installed, or use it to move between sniping positions and having to run over it to reset the mere 5 minutes timer is a pain in the ass.
Greater Platoon Control
This is another key area of PS2 that has some rather lackluster support.
Platoon leaders need a separate slot (49th Member). They should have all squad leader certs available to them.
Platoon lead set platoon name, not squad leaders. One name per platoon, period. This should be correctly shown to all members of the platoon.
/platoon disband actually disband the platoon! Currently it just makes the squads into solo squads, very bad setup up! Too often logged in the next day and find an outfit tag in a non outfit squad creating a bad name for the outfit.
Platoon leader needs to be able to move themselfs / and set themself as squad lead.
Platoon lead choosen "second" to take lead if they DC
Platoon lead able to set all squad waypoints.
More waypoints! - make them real waypoints, with a line from the first to the last.
Company Formations - others have gone into details here
Squad leaders ability to right click and kick members (currently you must /squad kick)
Change platoon lead color - Far too close to bravo leads
Outfit Support
Outfit controlled platoons. Outfit platoons with the outfit TAG. Non outfit members cannot become platoon lead. This eliminates any need to put the tag in names.
Outfit message area - see other posts. Pretty simple here.

For Squad and Platoon Leaders, the ability to place waypoints without going to a map screen. Maybe hold "Q" and then select from a quick drop down menu (like when holding it over an ally). Or if you hold the cursor over the capture point overlay you can easily designate an objective. Even just the ability to do this via the expanded minimap. The ability to set waypoints in combat was used in Battlefield 2142 and it kept the battle moving while allowing Squad Leaders to really participate in the fight, rather than have to find a hiding place every so often to set a new waypoint. The eternity it sometimes takes to load the map makes a difference.
Also, and I know this has been said many times, the Harasser needs to be tweaked. No buggy should be able to shrug off 3 Vanguard AT shells, regardless of orientation, especially given how fast they are already.
Also something that's been said a lot, the ability to re-equip vehicles in the field. Maybe have it only possible at major facilities connected to your warpgate? There could be a specialized vehicle bay where you must park your vehicle, then use a nearby terminal to modify it. Resource cost is fine though it would be nice if it were less than the full vehicle cost.

I want better communication too, in regards to that I have two points:
1. I have turned maximum voice channels to max, turned off music, dropped SFX and dialog to less than 50% to maximize in-game VOIP. Yet even then I have to have insane ducking at 50% + in order to hear anyone. Either this is borked as hell, or you're gonna need to automatically adjust people's input volumes based on average decibels. PLEASE. [cry]
Secondly. VGS-like system for more requests. According to what I hear you had this in PS1, you're all insane if you don't want to bring it back. Give your voice actors something to do now that the Harasser is out, set them to making a complete Voice Macro set! Shazbot!

To help give players incentive to follow squad orders, how about awarding squads for completing them? Heres an example of what I'm imagining:
Platoon leader tells squad leaders their objectives when attempting to take a tech plant. Squad leaders are assigned to take or defend certain points or attack/defend generators. The squad leader can 'aim' over the ingame ui 'A' point appearing on their screen. 'A' point then gets a little highlight and the squad leader holds down Q, there the spot-flower opens up and the squad leader can order his/her squad to attack/defend this point. Same can be done with generators: squad destroy/repair this generator.
Once the squad mates receive this order, the ui 'A' point will be highlighted in their ingame ui, and a little sword or shield can be placed in a corner of the 'A' symbol. taking or defending this point would grant a special squad xp bonus, along with extra squad bonus xp for killing enemies and receiving assists around that point.
I apologize for bringing up another game, one which seems to be referenced to often, but this squad objective concept worked wonderfully in BF2142 and made the commander's job much easier, while giving squads incentives to complete their objectives.
Another useful leader tool would be to designate targets. When playing in squads, I often hear our platoon/squad leaders call out a sunderer or tank to be destroyed, but most squad mates reply with "where?" So the leader calls a direction.
Instead of this, we could utilize the 'q' flower once more. Here's a situation: a platoon is bogged down in a brutal battle with their enemies. tanks are firing from all directions and infantry are peppering the platoon's position with fire. Suddenly an AMS sunderer spewing hostile infantry is spotted by the platoon leader. holding 'Q', he/she is able to call out to the platoon: "platoon, destroy the target'. The sunderer's little in-game ui icon is then highlighted much like the examples above, and the squad is able to identify the sunderer's position and destroy it, earning a small squad xp bonus for the kill and assists.
I feel that this, or something like it, would make squad play even more enjoyable.

- Mini map display of generator and SCU status to match HUD view. Many times, mini map displays a destroyed generator while it isn't.
- Add squad member number of the driver of vehicles in minimap and full map views.
- Make it not possible to destroy generators, SCU or base assets if not adjacent to put a stop to behind the lines cert farming.
- Allow unmanned turrets to fire upon enemies if they are fired upon as an automatic defence.
- Allow the ability to assign a group (armor, weapon, vehicle) camo to a continent and/or regions of a continent on a topographical basis which will be acquired on the next resupply at a terminal.

Re-Spawn list/choices/defaults. 99% of the time I want my default spawn point to be wherever the LAST place I spawned. OR if that is not available then the closest Main facility. I don't EVER want my default spawn to be a sunder I did NOT choose. I personally don't want my default location to switch to a minor outpost of a main facility without me choosing it. Spawn Binds or being able to customize "prioritize nearest" "prioritize last" "prioritize squad lead".
- sub point to this, clear-up or make consistent the rules about where we can and cannot spawn. It seems so random as others have pointed out I can't go two hexes away in one direction and at other times the whole map is available.
VGS system of voice macros. I love that the in game voip works, although some bugs which are annoying like it suddenly stops working, but I really could care less about proximity chat. I now find squad/platoon/outfit chat vital but proximity chat is almost never useful. The VGS system has history is loved and works. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.
MOAR loadouts AND quick keys for them. We need both they have the same weight. Tribes 1 had player made scripts with up to 36 or 64 loadouts. T2 integrated that to a point. I would say PS2's class system falls a lot closer to T2 than i does to PS1 and even more than Tribes Ascend does to T2. PS2 could use a T2 style loadout/quick key system.

As was pointed out earlier was the terrain specifically designed to trap lightnings driving across country? If so, the joke was never really funny the troll job was cute but we need to move on. I hate going over a little hill only to have my tank get stuck in a ditch.
HUD/Mini-map/Compass. Would love a more customizable HUD. Would love to be able to zoom in out on the mini-map. I would like a choice of a second more compassy compass rather then the current one on top of the mini-map.
Far more customization on the colors for the IFF on the Map/Mini-map/HUD. I REALLY have to rage about the changes that were made from what was here at release. I would have asked for a change but how/what was changed? Too rushed it needed to sit and ripen a bit more. Now that it has been changed I want more customization on choosing what I see.

What about increasing the flight ceiling tremendously but at the same time adding fog for the aircraft and ground units at the current flight ceiling so basically lose render distance there. An elevation that air/ground can't interact but open for air-air encounters or high altitude traveling?

Without doubt some of these things will have been mentioned in the pages before, but here's my list of quality of life items:
Loadouts
- More loadouts. I would love to have 10 loadouts per class.
- Faster loadout selection with buttons/hotkeys instead of dropdown menu.
- Vehicle loadout switching at ammo towers/air pads.
Outfits
- An outfit logo that is visible on all uniforms and vehicles.
- An in-game outfit list, and allow each outfit to make their own promotional page with some tickboxes to set outfit characteristics (outfit size, voice comms, infanty-only etc.) People looking for an outfit should be able to filter the list and have an easier time finding the right outfit.
- Remove outfit/squad/platoon grief.
UI/Map
- More waypoints. PS1 had 4. I'd love to have them back as 1 is often not enough.
- Squad health bars.
- More logical voice chat menu (PS1/Tribes style, V-W-A!).
- Ability to display full outfit names instead of tags.
- Ability to display class icons next to a player's name
- Better visibility of squadmembers on the map when they are in a vehicle.
Chat window
- Allow Multiple chat windows
- Chat window should remember the last channel you typed in, regardless of which tab you are in.
- Allow squad/platoon leaders to broadcast text to their squads/platoons that pops up in the center of the screen like the GM broadcast messages do now and similar to World of Warcraft's /rw raid warning.
- If you certed it, allow access to /leader even if you're not squad/platoon leader.
- Seperate tab with kill log.
- Continental broadcast chat.
- Allow chat use while dead.
Classes
- Engineer ammo pack should be ability.
Vehicles
- Shared kills/xp for drivers and gunners.
- Sunderer: Equipment terminal "area" is too big when deployed. Entering the vehicle from the side becomes more difficult.

Please adjust or remove Debris damage. It is currently quite annoying to kill an enemy and get ganked by his debris which is quite unpredictable. Especially for aircraft as the debris has no or reduced momentum giving you little to no chance to avoid the debris.

Please re-implement the timers for redploy/recall from Planetside 1 where the timer changes depending on if the zone you're in is controlled by an enemy, by you or is neutral. In addition if the player attacks or is attacked in any way then the redploy should be cancelled.

Would also like to be able to disable the in-game anti-aliasing shader.

Outfit/Platoon/Squad
Need ability to assign colors to Squads in a Platoon.
Ability to mark more than just a Cap point as Defend/Attack when "Squad Objectives" Cert is unlocked. I.E. Generators. Also need ability to cancel Objective buy Q keying the same object.
Additional Squad/Personal waypoint marker. Ex: Primary and Secondary Waypoint.
Have Outfit MOTD appear onscreen when logging in or changing continents or anytime you spawn in the Warp Gate. Player toggled via Settings.
Vehicles
Better onscreen hit indicators and ones that last longer. Very difficult to tell were incoming fire is coming from in most vehicles. Especially in flying vehicles.

My personal numero uno request would be: More Loadout slots.
Either an ability to purchase more loadout slots from the depot or have more loadout slots unlocked as you level your battle ranks, I'd prefer the latter option because right now after BR15 you havent got much purpose in your leveling, it just happens as you play.
What kind of a number am I looking at, you ask? Well, for me personally five would be ideal (for now anyway, later on I'd imagine the need for more would go up as new stuff comes available), but there are people who do fine with just 1 loadout slot and people who wouldnt be satisfied with 10 slots. I personally would be happy with an increase to total of five slots right now, but as I searched for people's opinions about this subject I found a nice suggestion:
Someone had the idea that you could basically have unlimited amount of loadouts, as you would be able to tailor every class and vehicle as precise as you need. You could keep adding more slots if you had to, so for example for HA you could have 5 loadouts, while for sunderer you might want even 7 (just numbers top of my head, nothing concrete).
Nutshell; moar loadouts plix plox. ;)

We (others) already asked for mouse axis rebinding, since aiming with A and D while trying to kill a Turret as a liberator with the CAS30 (yes I farm turrets) is a PAIN!
Also, is there a separate option for mouse smoothing/acceleration for vehicles? Because when playing infantry I use raw input, however with vehicles I would gladly be able to turn my turret or my aircraft around without sliding my mouse to the other end of the room. And if we get mouse axis rebinding, aiming with slow mouse movements and executing maneuvers with fast ones looks like an appealing option.

After pondering for about an hour this is what I have come up with. If I think of anything else significant, I will come back and edit.
Suggestions:
- Numbered selections for loadouts: Go to terminal, press 1 for Infiltrator, 2 for LA etc, then press 1, 2 or 3, for respective loadouts. Also, more loadouts please
- Allow full deceleration when ascending in an aircraft. It is currently impossible, at least in a Scythe, to decelerate to 0% forward power while holding spacebar. Whether it's a bug or an intentional mechanic, please remove.
- Remove fire delay from Saron HRB. It honestly just makes aiming it annoying. If it's a balance issue, nerf it in some other way, don't piss off my gunner.
- Make engineer turrets easier to deploy. They're on tripods, which are designed to be deployed on angled surfaces, yet it seems you can't deploy them on angles more than about 5°
- Make ammo packs deploy like C4, rather than just mirroring the turret deploy method. It is especially frustrating when someone steps on it before the deploy completes and cancels it.
- A free look option on the Magrider similar to that given to aircraft pilots would be amazing for situational awareness, and would probably help with accidental TK's.
- A gunner cam, particularly for the Liberator, would really help with the teamwork aspect of vehicles. Maybe as a cert? Though I don't know if the tech would support something like this. Barring a camera, maybe just a direction indicator.
- More voice macros. The system in PS1/Tribes: Ascend is amazing. Please replicate it.
- Make it more difficult for the fall animation to occur. Drives me crazy using ADS when walking down a slope and you stumble every couple steps, making it impossible to aim.
- I don't know what to do about it, but having to go in every once in a while and manually buy your grenades, medkits, and C4 is a boring and tiresome mechanic.
- More useful attachments for sniper rifles. Currently, the only thing worth getting is a scope. Things like bipods or range finders would be cool. Bipods might steady your weapon when crouched behind a rail or box. Range finder could add distance to crosshair in your scope.
- A tool slot for Light Assault. My first thought was a tazer, but being able to deploy something like a rope ladder would add an interesting dynamic to base assaults I think (obviously need ladder mechanics first) After thinking about it, completely negating walls might be a bit OP.
- I'm pretty sure it's already slated, but just to cover my bases, PLEASE let me attach multiple cosmetics of the same type. I want lumifiber AND fins on my Scythe, please. This means you get more of my money too!
- Add a zoom cert to the Lancer. For such a precise weapon, having no option zoom really holds it back in my opinion.
- Scopes for pistols, please? Iron sights suck. I would be fine with 1x holo sights.
- I suggested this in beta, but I would like to try an option for mouse flight controls to be oriented like a joystick, much like aircraft yaw in Planetside 1. To pull up, move your mouse down (or up if not inverted) and keep it down until you don't want to pull up anymore, then re-center it. This probably has a name, but I don't know it. I don't even know if I would like this control scheme, but I would like to try it.
Bugs:
- Gunner wobble. Right now, this is my #1 bug, and I've been vocal about it. Supposedly the next patch fixes it. If so, I'll be happy.
- Medkits seem extremely sensitive to latency. Anywhere near primetime, even when lag is unnoticeable in other situations, latency will cause medkits to fail.
- Landing gear on the Liberator being stuck in the down posititon. Every time my gunner and I take off in a Liberator, I have to check with him and make sure landing gear is up. Half the time, it isn't, and it obstructs his vision.
- Ammo counts don't accurately display after reloading MAX weapons with extended mags.
- The lancer will sometimes get stuck only being able to go to the first charge level. I'm not sure what causes it, but you have to fire that single shot in order to charge up again.
- The sound for the Vortex on the VS max does not match up with the charge levels. It's obviously the recycled Lancer sound, and that would be fine if the Vortex didn't charge up in about half the time. It would be nice to be able to use the sound as a cue when to fire.

I think the most annoying quality of life bug for me and many others is:
1) ESF - Ground Render Distance ( Its better now than before but still its incredibly annoying to be forced to just fire at where i think enemies are until i get absolutley destroyed by bursters :s)
2) FPS optmization still needs to be sorted out. We consistantly have larger and larger fights as the game gets bigger and evovles. But i do not believe you can improve it further without tackling the deep rooted issues such as CPU bottleneck for almost 90% of players. And im playing on a very high end system with ultra graphics, but still get the annoying CPU bottleneck in massive fights..

My top quality of life concern is for the Devs. They deserve a lot of credit for the work they have put in, I hope they're being taken care of.

I agree. It adds another random element to the battles. Getting killed by destroyed vehicle parts can suck, sure... but hey that's war. It's unpredictable.

Speaking of medkits/restoration kits, I'd really like to use the alt-fire/aimdownsights button to use the kit on a friendly - For those 'two soldiers holding a point and he's injured with no medic support' moments.
Also if you do go for darker nights ever (I'm not convinced you will but, yaknow), give us access to a nanite-systems flare gun we can swap into the pistol slot for firing over enemy positions at night (In fact do that anyway, would be awesome).
When swapping around between weapons in loadout selection, maybe let the game client remember what you had slotted into the weapon when it was last removed from a loadout.
Bring back voice macro-ing that uses a lettered system instead of the numbered system we have now. V-S for sorry is FAR easier to remember than V-8 when you're in a hurry. And let me warn people about explosives using a voice emote.
Allow us to select which types of in-game voice we receive using tick boxes, so we could choose to receive one for vehicle crews that allows them to co-ordinate inside a tank/harasser/etc, but have proximity switched off because it's usually used for silliness rather than some proper purpose.
I'd really like to be able to press a key and my character then takes a moment to detach/re-attach the scope. So I could for instance choose night vision for a scope and then when night comes to an end I press a key and can aim down sight without having to find a term. Or alternatively, I could have a 4x scope on my assault rifle during a field fight and then when our forces push up to a building, I can press that key again to remove the scope for close quarters fighting.

I absolutely agree with all of these points I quoted, including the last one... though the AV MANA technically has no medals at all IIRC. No "kills to next medal" indicator.
DESTRUCTIBLE LIGHTS! That light up small areas everywhere; can be destroyed and fixed by any faction! Will grant no repair XP of course. But just let everyone fix and break lights as needed. Will be AWESOEM!

Allow us to use any of our empires iron sights on any gun. For example, I hate the EM6's iron sight, but I like the Gauss Rifle and Gauss SAW's iron sight. It would be cool if I could use the Gauss Rifles iron sights on the EM6.
Allow us to use spawn tubes to deconstruct, bypassing the 10 second redeploy period and giving a much faster respawn (say like 5 seconds). Redeploy can still be used if you are in the middle of no where, but spawn tubes can be used for a much, much faster redeploy if you happen to be near them.
When you are killed, some sort of indication on A). Where the kill shot landed (basically did you die from a head shot or a body shot) and B) a breakdown of where you took damage. Some sort of paper-doll image that shows how much damage you took from body shots and how much you took from head shots. This could also help identify potential cheaters, if you find yourself dying to the same person several times and they score nothing but 100% head shots every time, something may be up.
It would be nice to be able to see what attachments your killer was using. I was killed the other day in 2 shots from a shotgun at a ridiculous range. My first thought was what the hell? Then I considered that maybe he was using slug ammo, but I had no way to verify that. This might also help new players, seeing what more experienced players are using on their weapons.
Add some way to deconstruct your own deployable stuff. I accidentally misplaced some C4 the other day and had no way of getting rid of it with out hurting/killing friendlies.
Make the grief system more visible. How much grief am I getting for X action, how much more grief can I get more being locked etc.
Do something about running over friendlies in vehicles. I think I have died more to friendly vehicles than to any other source in the game. Either reduce the damage friendly vehicles do or increase the greif substantially so that people will be more cautious when driving in high population areas.
Darker and longer nights!
Give a small grace period (say 5 minutes) that if you log out, crash, DC, freeze etc. That when you get back in the game you are either in the same place you were when you left or the nearest friendly spawn room. Don't put us all the way back at the warpgate the instant we leave the game.
Where is the music?! Very rarely do I hear music and when I do it's the same one piece every time. Where's travel_desert, combat_arctic, nc_soi_standard? At the very least just throw in PS1's music (because let's be honest, PS1's music was pretty damn awesome.
Personal wishes (well I suppose these are all personal, but I have a hard time believing anyone would be opposed the above wishes):
Allow medics to heal themselves with the med tool. Say right click to heal self (since there is no ADS for the med tool)
Allow us to pull out our knives like in PS1 and make it a one-hit kill.
Burst fire modes for weapons should fire their bursts at a much higher rate of fire than the weapon normally fires at (I'm looking at you crapham...I mean Jackhammer)
Generators should need to be physically destroyed rather than just holding down your use button. This would allow infiltrators or coordinated groups to make a much more stealthy entrace into a facility by taking down all the generators at once and not giving the enemy much time to react.
Add a delay when entering/exiting a vehile so that people cannot instantly bail when their tank has 4 health left, and can't just instantly enter their vehicle when they come under fire while repairing it.
New suit slot ability that highlights enemy explosives (even though walls!) with higher ranks extending the range. Theres really zero counter to mines, especially if placed correctly.
As much as I love the IR/NV scope, it's too good and there's no reason to use anything else. Reduce its range during the day and extend its range at night.
Allow infiltrators to hack common-pool vehicles.
Remove the death stat. Please, please, please, please, please, remove the death stat. Just get rid of it, don't just hide it, remove it period. In 5 years if people ask to see their K/D your reply should be, "sorry, we don't track that so it's not possible to show you, the stat simply doesnt exist".
Bugs:
Flak armor randomly un-equips from all my loadouts.
Tab screen stops working (typically after the game freezes at an equipment terminal (which minimizing and maximizing fixes))
Death Tracking only per Session and not in total. (Why keep tracking negativ stats ?)

- Minimap customization. A filter that allow me what to show on the minimap and at what size/layer priority.
- Selectable Platoon Squad Color. For colorblind people and for a better quick look.
- Selectable Platoon & Squad Waypoint Color. as above.
- Specific Squad/Platoon Galaxy/Sundy. Squad/Platoon leader should be able to mark a galaxy/sundy for their squad for easy recognise at any distance.
- Fire Sound Spam. Some weapon are literally deafening, audio is very important in a fps
- Recert Shop Item.

A few people are suggesting removing deaths from the stats the game tracks - so I just wanted to say that I think this is a terrible idea.
I like to feel that I'm doing well when I play, and challenge myself to play better - and being able to see how many times I've died in a session is a big part of that.

Last night. Connery. We dropped the SCU in the Bio Lab .... defending it from being repaired ..... it was like the room filled from floor-to-ceiling with Corn syrup (SCU room became murky-brown) .... my character was so hard to move with the mouse - it was almost frozen, but not quite. I would go in and out of slo-mo molasses mode. I even got White screen a couple times. I've been having the slo-mo Bug since GU08 ..... not sure if I had it (enough to remember) pre GU08.
Also, I hate running up to a terminal to reload by Max, but the instead of reloading my Max, the game defaults me to change into my LA loadout ..... hella annoying.
Also, CLOSE-QUARTERS ENEMY IDENTIFICATION. Guys love to wear the Giraffe Camo indoors - cuz they can run amongst an enemy crowd & not be readily identifiable. Gaaay Camo kills SHOULD NOT BE SO EASILY ACCOMPLISHED. I TK too much already. CQ camo issues should be addressed. Witin 20 meters Camo should switch to SCREAM which Empire you are. Currently, it's used as CLOAKING - so you can fire at people who are trying NOT to TK uncessarily. Leaving this Camo-Advantage in-game will increase the likelyhood of TKing becoming even more prevelent.

MORE information and let people ignore what they don't want. Don't remove something critical just because some people don't want to see it. I don't understand what the down side is to having the death count? Makes you feel bad? More info is better info and for every person that doesn't want to see how they died or how many times they died there are others that do want to know. Let the one group ignore it or click a box that doesn't show it but don't take it away.

i keep getting the slomo bug so often, that i used to think this was a crappy supression feature. it happens almost every time i get shot.
can hardly move or aim when this happens for several seconds.
i am actually glad to hear this is a bug and it is the most annoying one right now!
and the camo issue should really be adressed! easy solution: reliable friend markers, that render with the same reliability like the soldiers. if the soldier/vehicle renders and is a friendly, it must have a friend marker! giraffes could still hide in the crowd, but KOS on friendlies could be reduced a lot, since lot of people don´t wait for friendmarkers to show up. shoot first, ask for faction later or you´re dead.

all these Lag-switchers, VPN'ers, Warpers, and super fast Strafers that even when you hit them, all you get is a couple "ghost shots". You guys CAN FIX THIS just by scaling up the size of their Hitboxes when they're doing anything that makes it (their hitbox) suddenly change vectors more drastically than it legitimately should be . (like when they're firing or just recently fired). IE: Average its polled velocity server-side over multiple ticks and scale the hitbox widths to THAT VECTOR CHANGE for about 500ms or a whole second. ...IOW: give Warping & subtle Speedhacking a big automatic downside.
It's not that hard to do, and it's not as draconian as telling people from distant countries that they can't play on certain servers.
Anyone who's against this is probably a member of those really obvious Outfits who abuse it the most.

Outfit Squads:
Anyone above a certain rank in the outfit can disband the squad.
Squad Leader has an "Invite Squad Members" button that will invite 11 people in the outfit at random. Invites that are not responded to in 10 seconds are automatically canceled, and a new invite to a random outfit member is issued.
Division Squads:
Same as Outfit Squads except instead of inviting people at random, it will only select outfit members who are flagged as part of the appropriate division (armor, air cav, only people with ESRL's, etc...). Players can set some of their own flags, while others can only be set by members above a certain rank. Squad Leaders pick what flags they want when creating the squad

1) Hitting Squad Deploy should center the map on the squad leader, so you know where you are about to drop. It did this previously but was changed without explanation. This really helps when the map is cluttered.
2) Actual colorblind support. I am red-green colorblind (the most common type) and cannot distinguish Alpha Squad from Bravo Squad as well as the Platoon Waypoint from the Squad Waypoint.
3) Instant Action...it is worthless and frustrating to use right now. 9/10 times you get dumped into a hex that your faction has just capped or one where the enemies have already been eliminated. Also, being warped to a different continent is annoying since you lose all your tank mines/proximity mines.
4) Being hit by nonrendering AV Turrets/Rockets/______ . Projectiles should render so people can at least see where they are being hit from.
5) Proximity Mines falling under the "floor."
6) Ordinance counter for deployed Tank Mines and Proximity Mines. After several month playing the game, I find it pretty easy to keep track of my explosives; however, for new players it is virtually impossible to know what mines have been triggered.

This. Finally had a great battle going on at miller. Indar alert and 3-way at ti alloys. First ammo packs, repairing, healing etc broke. After a while, 3-way battle was already over and it was only 2-way and even hit registering started to get bad.
The most annoying thing there is and it was worse than it has been this far.

We should be able to abort a redeploy even after the timer has fully counted down.
MAXes should be able to redeploy from a Warpgate in their MAX suit.
Need an option to wipe a loadout clean and re-prioritize the list of existing loadouts. For example, if I have Loadout 1 as my shotgun loadout but I want Loadout 2 to be Loadout 1, I have to replicate Loadout 2 as Loadout 1 and re-save it. I just want a quick way to change which Loadout is my default. Maybe just add a checkbox for that Loadout.
Black camo please. Maybe this is crazy because everyone would use it, but the VS have a distinct color advantage at night.
Looking through any sight other than iron should report range to any infantry or vehicle in the sight. Make this a new cert class on all guns if you want. It should also identify the target as ally or enemy.

double loading screen, charlie being purple, rockets sometimes not counting, flashing screen bug. i'll keep adding as i think of them

The way the default spawn location is set to the squad leader.
So if he decides to recall and go for a slash you end up taken out of your fight and dumped next to him.
Make it a toggleable option. Have the default spawn option whatever the last place you clicked was.
It would also be nice if weapon slot key binds could be set per class, as it's currently not possibe to have the same c4 keybind on LA and medic.
A UI improvement for seeing your squad wouldn't go amiss either, currently you can't see the health of each squad member, PS1's accross the top bars for squads were much more user friendly. The abilty to change the colours squad member appear on the minimap would be nice too.
