Iam kinda confuse who are those (( devildog )) in the terran republic ?

Is the devilsdogs as made multiples factions groups or is this clan is another rip off of the DD ( american army ) name ?

Well Devil dogs have been a nick name for marines sens WW 1. So it might just be some one else copied the name for there outfit.

its kinda wack to have 2 DD outfits whithin the game ... even if i dislike the 666 DD leader , i think its remain a rip off of another rip off lol

i bet they want to get the attention of more player taking the same name as the Ps1 DD

Ok there stew lets get it right, Devil Dog is not a Unit in the american army, its a name given to Marines by the german army, when they fought during the battle of Belleau woods. Young Marines were called by this name when they showed motivation, for example a first seargant would call a younger enlisted Devil Dog, it was used inplace of a there name and rank, like "Come over here Devil Dog" or "Good job Devil Dog", or Nice shooting Devil Dog". But now a days it is no longer used because lower enlisted feel its insulting to them, but the men at the Battle of Belleau wood wore it with pride. So this phrase was never used in the army, there is no unit called Devil Dog. The Army and Marines are two different animals, I see alot of units using the 101st, and the 82nd, these are actuall army units that are real, infact I was in the 101st, but we didnt were red and we didnt have laser guns:D.

What irritates me is that my first Outfit had an awesome name, but due to the founder's laziness ended up dying while he putted around with his GMod Roleplay group...

This is really irritating, especially considering that the Devil Dogs are supposed to be a New Conglomerate outfit. I'd vote this TR outfit be forced to re-name.

Well this is a military type of game, I think the military type names are cool. I also like to see the coordination in groups with these names. I wonder if the leader is always yelling like a dril seargant.

Yeah I looked up the terran DDs. They just made a name slightly different than what we use.

On a slightly different tack here, my son had joined a vs outfit called "EvilPig Must Die" which i thought was kind of amusing.

So yeah I think this kind of copycatting is flattering.

I'm a member of the Terran devildogs, and we ain't no copycats, our clan as been around long before planetside1 came out. So why should we change our name just because some other outfit( on another server) has the same name??. Besize their called the "666th devil dogs" and we are "the devil dogs".
