I miss flails though.

Actually, I do miss BFRs because it gets NC and TR off their more effective MAXes/tanks and into a plodding target I can harass the hell out of.

I would like all caves neutraled at least. NC having perma-lock on 2 of the 4 caverns is a pretty nice boon for them since the benefits still work.

Caverns are still inaccessible, but somehow other day an NC took all of one cave and today a TR took all of a VS cave.

Hackers, or just random people with Core Combat active for them?

might have been old players, that have logged out their char in the caves and did respawn there when returning to the game. but i think this is only possible in caves that are not completely locked by the enemy.

Hmm, then NC shouldn't have been able to take the TR cave and TR shouldn't have been able to take the VS cave with one NC base in it.

Something's fishy.

Edit: Just checked today and the caves are back to where they were a few days ago... wtf?

I'm glad that BFR's and all of that stuff are gone. Good riddance. It killed the game in conjunction with the other flaws at the time, and I've never liked them. The only people that use them are, in my singular opinion, just too bad at other aspects of the game to ever be useful outside of one.

I guess I wouldn't mind caves, but the population is only at roughly 100 total players online at any given point as of the last few days. I've checked multiple times throughout my playtime (I play in Mountain Time, GMT-6) and even during prime time the pops are quite low. Caves probably wouldn't be visited save for ghosts that want the topside benefits. I'd be more interested in some of the old alpha-style stuff making a comeback. :cheers:

Yeah, that's part of it. They cut out the animals/other AI (bots or NPCs may have made it in) because they couldn't come up with a decent pathfinding system.

Other parts were the combat.. I saw some alpha footage and I could swear the TTK was a lot lower. It was much higher than PS2, but a lot lower than the current TTK.

The armor designs were a little different, too. Remember that picture at the PS1 Station login screen, with the Terran soldier yelling? Yeah, that's a Vanu Agile exosuit and a TR insigna slapped on the side of the shoulder. Things were a lot different back then.. That is actually a very old picture. I want to see how some of that would affect the game NOW.

hell no.

the ttk in ps1 is perfect. any change will break the weapon balance like it did in ps2
(nc traits being useless compared to the other faction traits)

i wouldn´t mind a fauna in ps1 now, as the game doesn´t stress my computer enough. in ps2 any ai would suck out performance too much.

Cave rotation. 2 active, 2 on standby, 2 hidden. 6 total.

Check the global map and double click the icons for the caves (not the visible maps of the caves on the global map!).

Yea, forgot they hide two of the maps that just went.

Either way, the permanent cavern lock is being a giant pain for VS and I'm seeing less and less bothering to log in.

Would love the caves to get neutraled out so nobody is getting benefits.

Yeah... :/ Should ask brewko to either make it two for all, or take them all off.
