in playstyle between NC and TR? I mean to me they just look like they have the same style of weapons and vehicles. The slow, highly armored whit big powefull guns... *shrug* someone care to enlighten me on the wep difference? And yes i know the belife difference between them

with the exception of the NC tank, witch has long range, all NC weapons are shortrange, slow firing, and really heavy damage weapons.

TR is fast firing, and while NC's tank gun is bigger, the TR tank has two guns and a pair of chainguns to boot.

In other words

NC = BOOM! BOOM!

TR = BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

:)

Correct :)

TR = Fast rate of Fire
NC = big guns

Also, the Gauss will be an exception to the Short range trend.

I mean, you're going to burst fire at long range anyways. But it will have a lower ROF than the Cycler and Punnisher most likely.

I like the high rate of fire but what I dont like is that also equals alot of ammo used up quick. one thing I hate is running out of ammo in a fight.

maybe I missed it, but how is resupply handled in the field?

Not sure, vehicles have trunks for ammo storage I think, as do MAX armors

im just guessing here but there are probably a series of ammo dumps in different parts of each continent, bases probably have some sort of ammo storage facilities aswell, it would make sense.... but who knows. I really hope they don't go with the quake 3 type of getting ammo, just pick up in floor as it spawns, so unrealistic.

gause is the most damaging rifle because of magnetic acceleration, gits more FPS then most of the other rifles, but it proably fires slow, like Thunk, Thunk, Thunk. Is also proably rather accurate though. Maybe use a a getto snipper weapon? It should also have a smaller muzzle flash and be pfffft. Not BLAM BLAM BLAM.

I hope they have it like BF1942 where they have the crates to get ammo in. It would be cool if the trunks could have this but it would be sort of cheap so there should be limited space in the trunks while still holding a good amount of ammo. Bases on the other hand, should have infinite ammo to get.

bahaha poor NC...its gonna be difficult for them to attack...other empires can just pick them off before they are even in range

but if they do get in range your ass be grass, on a note i think their tank will own at long range, and the TR at short, and the Vanu, well, i will have good things about it later, like when they fix it, You know so its main gun is not almost worthless.

i agree, one of the reasons i like NC, the tank is gunna be absolutely sweet at long range, it will be the equivanent of a baskalisk in warhammer (a long range cannon thing that shells from the back of board, decimating anything it hits)

i hope they have a mortar in the game, it would be sweet, it should be an NC, it best suits thier playing style.

me thinks the MAX's might get some kinda mortor. Other then them though its the Thumper for you.

no way is a thumper worthy of being classified even remotely similar to a mortar, i want a full tri-pod mounted mortar, maybe with a firing animation of the person leaning up putting in the shell and standing back, this would also make it more fair in game, a mortar installation misplaced in the field would result in the position being over-run by a task small squad and possibly turned against the original owners troops

oh it would be sweet

I dont think there is mortar/artillery.

That Vanguard tank is quite a beast however :D

Tobias

who needs a mortor anywho when you can shell them with the vanguard. Get like 12 of them and give a base hell!

I'm anxious to see what the heavy tanks look like. :)

Maybe the Vanu tank on thier website is a heavy, it looks pretty tough as well.

yeah i spose, but it would be cool to see, a tree man mortar squad is much easier to make dissapear in a forrest at night, but a tank? i dont think so.... hamma is probably right, no mortar, such a shame

yeah, thats one of the things i was really wishing to see, was long range, indirect artillery fire.
that would add an entirely new level of strategy.
the commanders could order an artillery barrage on position x.
the commander would already have scouts in position so they could walk it up for more accurate fire, and bring the fire on more precise targets (of course, a way of pointing the guns in the general direction could be devised)
while this is happening the commander orders 2 squads into galaxies, and starts 2 vanguards and lightnings in for mobile, heavy gun support.
as the scout spots the friendly forces, he calls for the arty to cease fire, and then the assaulting force begins a lightning quick assault to wrap it up.
