Hey guys,

Just thought I'd share this quickly. We shot it last night as a sort of intro into the potential for the 'quick response, spec ops' type play-style which was so prevalent in PS1. I've been assured many times that PS2 is strictly a numbers game and that it's purely about who has the larger zerg. We'll be doing our best to dispel that myth over on Matterson & prove that small groups of experienced players can still beat overwhelming odds if they're smart about it.

To that end, this was part of a swathe of hexes our 8 man squad cut through Indar last night, totally unsupported by the rest of our Empire. When we arrived at the Dahaka Southern Post it was controlled by the NC but TR were taking the point with 24-48 enemies in the base. We initially fought the TR off the point and blew 2 of their Sunderers during heavy combat and then had to hold off the resurgent NC for the remainder of the countdown...

Is that the default reticle for the red dot on VS?

Nicely co-ordinated there, they never really pushed you in force which is handy :)

Thanks man - actually, from Doc's perspective you unfortunately miss a lot of the fighting which was going on upstairs. But as I say, my intention is to begin redressing the 'zergfit' mentality which seems to be the prevailing sentiment in game right now. We've only really been 'back' in PS2 for a week or two now and we're still getting going but if anyone feels up for a challenge drop by our forums - we're always looking for a great player or two.

And yeah, that's the default reticule for the reflex sight.

Dat reticule *hrrnnng*

I'm all for small squads run well causing massive disruption, it also a lot of fun and great sense of achievement. Zerging is generally boring.

I have no doudt in my mind that small well balanced and skilled squads can trump a zerg, been doing it on Woodman for a hot second. Infact did it last night at the star ship trooper base on Indar. Set up turrets AP mines and maxes with heavy's. Had a hell of a time keeping the NC from the capture point.
