This should be an interesting SMG. Every faction's two variations of SMG are all very similar to each other. Maybe see something with a bit more Umph per bullet and a little less dakka?

I'll reserve judgment on it till I can get some hand on time with it. Interesting looking to say the least.

I'm guessing the same as the others.. :P

Well, the Cyclone and Eridani are unique.

Personally, while I lived by the NS-11c for a long time, I've moved away from NS weapons in favor of ES. As a TR player, I think our ES weapons significantly outpace NS weapons imho.

Hm didn't realize the Cyclone had a damage model like that. Good call.

I'm going to play "Let's Guess the Stats."

143@6m
91@42m
SR: 1.5
LR: 2.3
Mag Size: 45
Pool: 180
vert recoil: .2
horiz: equal left right pull
1st Mult: 2x
ADS Move Speed: .8x (my wildest prediction is that this SMG will allow you to move slightly faster ADS than the usual .75x for SMGs)
CoF: Standard (All SMGs have the same so far)
CoF Bloom: .05 Class (Most SMGs are .05 bloom)
RoF: 652
Velocity: 400

I'd say 35 mag size instead of 45.

You guys don't all play with a sticker in the middle of your screen?

yeah, AWESOME! we totally need more of the same weapons we already have lots of!

is this some kind of punishment for arclegger?
is he now doomed to work on useless things because he was responsible for level design and for the clegged up spawncamp situation?
that´s harsh, soe! i don´t know if he was responsible for all the bad baselayout. the only base i know is cleggs child is the biolab, and that´s one of the better layouts in the game.

With that mag size? That's not an SMG anymore. And it apparently has a top-loaded magazine like the striker, at least from some of the pictures people posted on Reddit.

If that's true, design-wise it makes no sense. How is the round chambered? How is the round shot? I know this is sci-fi and all, but TR and NS still use conventional, modern designs, and this cereal-box is beyond ridiculous. It feels like it's top loaded just for the sake of being different instead of making sense.

So you are saying the Tommy Gun or PPSz-41 were not SMGs?

looks like a similar design setup to a P90

Does that magazine look like it holds pistol rounds to you? Look how wide that thing is

Again, how is that round even chambered? I'd like a bit of authenticity in my fiction, especially concerning modern-like weapon design. This wouldn't be a problem if it was loaded like a regular bull-pup

I don't understand how they couldn't be chambered. You can even see a hole for the bullets on the cartridge. Do you need a vision test or something? Bi-directional springs and/or a vacuum/air pressure/gas operated system.

Wow, well the gun did look cool... until that magazine location.
Hopefully they just rotate that bad boy to fit the magazine style of a bullpup and not a look like a red headed gun stepchild.

I really do hope we get more Bullpup styled guns though, big fan of that particular look.

This thread kinda reminds me of something. We lament over the fact the weapons models and ballistics characteristics differ only slightly with each new gun we see and yet when we get something "off the wall" like the flare gun we think it is too outside the box. Well with such low TTK and limited amount of options, conventional type weapons are about to run their course. Maybe Clegg and crew would appreciate some ideas for future weapons to keep pushing the envelope forward? I'll have to start thinking along these lines myself but maybe others could pitch in. Maybe a new thread Hamma?

Top feed does not mean it cant chamber a round.

It might be uncomfortable to shoot or aim but I dont see a function issue.

The curved magazine definitely feels clumsy and makes zero sense, sci-fi or not.

As for loading the rounds however, they could be pulled into the chamber magnetically or in some other way. There certainly is no way for the bolt to cycle over the magazine like a conventional weapon.

I'm not a big fan on this particular issue, its true, but I like the general look of the weapon otherwise. Plus its a bullpup, this game needs moar!!!
