Hey All,

How was this discount SC day compared to the others , did you buy any SC ?

I decided to withhold my money this time around just because I'm wary of what direction this game might take, I have dumped a decent amount of money into the game already (plus membership). No more until I'm sure that the game is headed in a direction that fulfills my hopes for this game.

With that being said, looking at the Nexus Battle Islands I am excited, landscape/terrain look brilliant, beautiful as well.

I added another SC10000 to my balance, which gives me about SC19000, don't know why? It's not as if I can afford it. Damn SOE, you just keep feeding my habit don't you!

Honestly I had money set aside for this, however I to don't like the sudden emergence of a 40% discount, It feels like someone is testing the consumer, if I see a 33% discount sale you'll know this one worked well for them.

I did some math yesterday with the Alpha Pack and two 6 month subs, and with SC I've spent £300 or there about, I'll be taking a step back now.
I enjoy the game I have a sub which will continue to support the dev team, but I will not be Auto buying SC like I used to.

I had a $15 Wal-Mart card with 500SC bonus on it left over from months ago plus I had my sister who lives in a Sales Tax free state get me another for my B-Day. Got 6000SC all told but only spent $15. :)

I'm sorry but four isn't forty, and with that line of thought wouldn't quadruple SC be more appropriate, I can understand where you're coming from and maybe I am over thinking the whole thing, but I can't get past the idea that it's Consumer testing

I don't think that it is. Of course, one of us will be proven right come SOE Live. My hope is that there will be another SC sale for that.

To be honest being a Vanu player, there is absolutely NO point to buy SC for cosmetic upgrades (since i have all the firepower i need) because 99% of EVERYTHING the VS has from helmets to Armour LOOKS LIKE SHIT !!!! Its like they killed Vanu and made some gay faction wearing the same colours and fake VS weapons that dont even function like VS weapons should..

Sorry don't mean be to be rude, just stating the obvious.. So yea no point getting SC if ur VS.. If ur NC or TR then they have some cool looking gear..

Nope. I was going to put down maybe 30 pounds (50 bucks). But the sale was not attractive enough.
If we never get another 2x or 3x I really couldnt care less. SOE just made my decision easier.

I didn't purely because I'm not playing the game as much as I used to. There's very little in the way of coordination between outfits on Connery and my main on Mattherson wouldn't get anything done anyway because the Vanu are so overpopulated. SOE doesn't deserve my money when they're mismanaging this game into the ground and being REALLY slow with the lattice implementation.

This game is dying and it makes me sad to see such an awesome opportunity wasted. Hopefully some other company will see what SOE has done with massive player populations and try it themselves so we can see a great game come out of the slowly rotting corpse of this one.

I bought 5000SC. But you're right... I am very skeptic to all this e-sport thing. But it's not like any one of us going to play this game for ever... or to the day we die. I have a full closet of old games I used to play...

I spend $5-10 a month on SC, plus what I dropped for Alpha Squad. I didn't pick up any this weekend though since I've been a bit preoccupied.

To my thinking, every dollar you spend is a vote towards the kind of world you want to live in. I want to live in a world with PlanetSide 2, so I spend what I believe is a reasonable amount on it.

That's not to say that I unconditionally support 100% of what the dev team has done, but the game is still young and I'm optimistic about its future.

This game is dying? Very trollish remark. Please explain to me then why for the last 2 Saturdays for a couple hours on Connery there is a Queue for not One, but TWO of the continents? I was stuck on Amerish last night because Indar and Esamir were full. Which rather sucked because us VS had 60% of the pop on Amerish and no one really to fight.

I picked up a little to cover the cost of a flare launcher. I normally get Walmart cards to use for double-xp weekend, but that wasn't as cost effective with this promotion, so no go. Since I maintain a sub, I can't afford to spare quite as much for SC.

Also: I agree that this is a marketing exercise, and if sales like this do well we'll never see a 2x or 3x sale again. In which case, I'll never buy SC again.

Also also: it's true that most Vanu cosmetics look like crap. There are a few decent ones, but not many.

For any free player I'd advise them to stick with the perfectly fine default wepons and wait till a better offer comes or just not bother .

I dropped my usual for SC and bought my weekly 7 day xp boost, so I only needed 500 SC, that is it. I was considering the 3 month and 6 month 50% xp boost implant, but I wanted to leave the slot open just incase I wanted to change up to something else. So I just go my 7 day xp boost and thats it, I get everything else with the certs that I make. Not to mention it was a double xp weekend, so I managed to get a new weapon, and some new scopes for them.

It seems like SOE is still making money , or conversely people who reply to these posts on here have some sort of dedication to the game so maybe the people who said they have bought SC here are the few people who still believe in supporting the game to this degree. Which is a minority.

Not that I don't I've spent at least 250-300 dollars on the game, but am backing off for a while, to see where the game is truly headed.

Everytime i log into the game i am bored after 30 mins. Therefore no reason to spend any money atm. Maybe the game will be fun again when intercontinental warfare/contlocks/5 conts will be released.

I would happily buy SC without waiting for a special offer if they were priced reasonably. But at the crazy prices that SOE charges it's either a proper sale or nothing for me.

I was planning on getting a walmart card or two's worth if they had a 3x sale, but i held off. 40% wasn't going to cut it.

I grabbed about 36,000 SC back in the Xmas 3x sales, combined with Alpha squad and full membership... I only have about 1900 left, but I think i'll survive on the membership 500/month now. I'm also getting to the point that i'm going to switch to buying stuff with certs... There isn't much left that I have to put certs into, so I might as well use those.

I agree... if they were able to get enough revenue from a 40% sale, I doubt we'll see another 3x sale ever, and probably only a 2x around Xmas.

i only bought station cash before release of the game.

and i will start to buy station cash again IF the game turns into a planetside some day and manages to keep me playing for hours like ps1 always did.
but i don´t see a point in pumping money into a game that is so frustrating that i can´t play it for more than 1 hour at best.

also there is nothing in the game i would want to buy anyhow.
i would pay for an option to disable EVERY cosmetics displaying for me, so i could get a consistant scifi army look again.
