When is that fireworks thing gonna be removed?

Of course it was closed down. That thread was about as constructive as a trout in an Miss America Pageant.

Personally I thought [hoped] that it would be a one day a year, or two if you count New Years Eve, where everyone would be given a fireworks gun to celebrate. Why? Because it doesn't fit into PS2 as anything other than a special event item. A flare gun? Sure, but not a fireworks gun.
But noooo they had to get all greedy and monetize it. No way that it's going away now.

Not only did they sell them, but they made it a rare item that will only be sold for holidays and they attached a unique title to it for getting 50 kills with it. It's not going anywhere. It will die down, but I doubt people will completely stop using it.

I also wish it would be more of a regular flare gun. Bought is thinking it might benefit me as a squad leader and captain in my outfit. I hate the current design I wish it was more a true flare and less a firework.

I'm all for fun weapons, I'm not for novelty items, especially for a Holiday only one country in the world celebrates.

It's like them stupid Christmas hats in Planetside all over again. I remember trying to get some friends to play and back then they wouldn't subscribe to an MMO, let alone a shooter. I finally got them into the game, they looked at the hats, said that is the worst art they've ever seen, it looks gay and uninstalled lol.

Now one of my friends decided to try PS2, so I came back to show him the way and he isn't playing anymore cause the fireworks are annoying lol.

I'm left playing on my own now lol, only fun I'm having really is killing people with the Banshee on the Mosq. However the game is still a spawn campfest and all people do is spawn that stupid gun.

Sounds to me like a lot of other issues are getting in the way of planetside and you. The fireworks sort of just illuminated them? Hehe, regardless you'll see less and less of the fireworks as time goes on. They thing is still new, give it a month.

You're friend didn't quit Planetside 2 because of fireworks... come on that is exaggerating. More likely they just didn't like that it had no end... they couldn't understand the goal of the game or wanted a realistic milsim like all the other games out. This game probably wasn't the style they were looking for..I am sure they were an arena TDM fan which Planetside 2 is clearly not.

Also I would like to add that Canada Day is Canada's equivalent to America's Independence Day... which is July 1st.. but let's not worry about other countries and just crap on America... it's the popular thing to do after all.
